32. Time to end destruction
Sam ,   Canada   (08.28.06)
The death and destruction that war causes is not worth it. Even Nsarallah sees that. Time for co-existence.
33. Don't be fooled.
LEE ,   USA   (08.28.06)
This is guy is smart. Don't underestimate him. He knows his audience. He needs the Israeli public to support the weakminded Olmert government. This gives Olmert points and will help him survive. This is just what Nasrallah needs for the next round.... Olmert in command.. Let's not get too proud,. Our leaders failed us and we cannot be complacent.
34. Nassrallah getting chubbier...
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (08.28.06)
...and with his forced lack of physical exercises in the basement of the Iranian embassy in Beirut, one can only expects him to develop a cardiac condition sooner or later...maybe a biological solution to Hizballah 'rais' is in the making!
35. in Lebanon?
Jesus ,   SF, USA   (08.28.06)
the people should ask themselves...where the hell was Israel before all this happened? Israel was minding its own business thru and thru with its borders. There was no Israel in Lebanon...well...not until Hizbullah f*cked up and made Israel go into Lebanon. Face it, Hizbullah really f*cked up and now is trying to blame Israel. The people need to look at Hizbullah and bring justice to their land by putting Hizbullah on trial for what happened. Hizbullah thought that Israel was too busy with what happened with Galid in the south...that Israel would not respond...and just like the terrorist Nasrallah said...they were SURPRISED that Israel responded! People of Lebanon and around the world need to stop criticizing Israel and demand that Hizbullah pay for its stupidity. Hizbullah needs to take responsibility for its mistakes and be charged for war crimes! People of Lebanon need to change their views about Hizbullah and see the reality of them...they are a terrorist group masked as resistance fighters... BULLCRAP!...they are the ones that brought all that happened to Lebanon. BRING HIZBULLAH TO JUSTICE! HIZBULLAH MUST PAY FOR ITS TERRORIST ACTS!
36. What a discovery!!
Eros ,   Canada   (08.28.06)
So ,what the discovery here?Hizbollah didn't expect this harsh responce?Yes might be,but even with this harsh responce which mean Isreal use his army in full capability still didn't win the war.The fact is hizbollah still their and came be a second round give you the answer.
37. Exposing Liars !!!
Dark Justice ,   Heaven   (08.28.06)
Correction... Get over your state of denial.. The Israeli objectives before and during the war: 1) Retrieve the 2 soldiers (well that`s what they said anyway) 2) Destory Hezbullah and leadership and dismantle their rocket launching capatbilties 3) Reach Litani River I think the 4th would be to cause infighting amongst lebanese factions ( never happened thankfully) keep in mind Hezbullah isa ``militia`` and when a militia stops the allmighty regular IDF from reaching set out objectives the militia wins the war. the only win the IDF had was in numbers of dead lebanese civilians ( if you want to call that a succes which by your standards would be) If this a succes for Israel I wonder what a Failure would be. LOL Israel lost the war.. live with it and DEAL WITH IT!!!
38. Wolf's donning sheep's clothing
Asylum Aleikum   (08.28.06)
But of course Nasrallah is a man of peace. The last thing on his mind was, and is, a war with Israel. In fact, the war happened only because Israel wanted it. Come to think of it, there is no need to get rid of Olmert, et al, nor reform the IDF. Why fix something that ain't broken? Why mess with perfection?
39. HE'S MAKING EXCUSE FOR DESTROYING LEBANON
(08.28.06)
THERE IS A GROUND SWELL OF ARAB ANGER RE: HIS, SYRIA, AND IRAN'S SELFISHNESS AND THE DESTRUCTION THEY BROUGHT TO LEBANON AND ITS PEOPLE
40. He's not using restraint, so neither should we
Michael ,   New York   (08.28.06)
If Narsallah really wants to fight Israel how about we have a real war where civilians aren't shields. How bout we just bomb the """ out of him
41. #26 to Mohamed
zev ,   haifa   (08.28.06)
I agree. Much as I hate S.H.N., and wish he were dead, I do respect him a little (even though he is an egomaniac). I also like the way he speaks. Maybe we can have a trade? Give us our two soldiers back, and Nasrallah for our Minister of Public Relations, and we will give you Olmert and Peretz and Katsav? Deal?
42. lets finish this once and for all...
angry   (08.28.06)
its either us or them,so lets go for it full scale, either we win and finish them off,or they will finish us,but for god sake-lets finish it one way or the other..
43. Honest & brave man
rose ,   Bahrain   (08.28.06)
Unlike Israeli leaders who were giving Israel false information about the development in the battelfield , Nassrolla is an honest and caring man who has deep feelings for all Lebanese who were killed and suffered during the Israeli vicious attack
44. Hizbullah admits involvement ...
Blues ,   Portland, USA   (08.28.06)
Sue them in the world courts for damages, and try Nasrallah as a war crimina!
45. Stop Misquoting!!
Dodge ,   Nowhere, Nowhere   (08.28.06)
Here is your statement: "Nasrallah prevents him from holding such a meeting. During the interview he also denied the possibility that he would participate in the national dialogue in Lebanon which began a few months ago and froze during the war, due to concerns over criticism participants may direct against him." He did not say that he said that he will not participate, because if isreal knew where he will be, it will not spare anyone sitting with him and bomb the whole lebanese government sitting with him. He also says that he will send someone to take his place, if the dialouge continued. So please double check what you write.
46. To Rose In Bahrain
Ghandi ,   South Lebanon   (08.28.06)
Dear Rose, Israel did not attack and would not have attacked and destroyed Lebanon had your Hero Mr. Nasrallah NOT attacked first, as he himself put it he would not have attacked if he knew the Israeli response, so please spare us your bullCrap while you sit in Bahrain and enjoy your western style amenities in PEACE, we here in Lebanon are very tired and not willing to support Seventh Century Barbarians calling "death to America and death to Israel" while we are the ones dying in scores so they might fulfill their sick agendas. Please do not lecture us about which leader is more honest and how Nasralla cares about us Lebanese. we are sick and tired of all of you racist Arabs who preach hate against Israel and the west but only us Lebanese people must pay the price while you enjoy your F%^&*#@ Petrol-Dollars and your leaders fornicate with blond western prostitutes. How about a war in Bahrain or Dubai, why don’t you guys go liberate Jerusalem... you hypocrite BASTARDS!!! WE WANT PEACE WITH ISRAEL
47. Some people are just suckers for punishment
ERIC,,, ,   ISRAEL   (08.28.06)
Such brave talk, the guy must blind or just plain dumb.Nassrallah I think you better tell the Lebanese goverment when you are ready for another round.Next time we will turn Lebanon into sand. That would be a pity,Lebanon is such a beautiful country,It doesnt need a lunatic like you to destroy it.
48. To #17
suze ,   Chicago   (08.28.06)
Did you ever hear of the straw that broke the camel's back, how long do you think Israel can be provoked and keep quiet. If it was using its brawn as you say, trust me, they would have had almost no casualties. Do not forget how many Israeli soldiers died trying to inflict as few civilians casualties as possible. How easy it would have been to just flaten all of Lebanon if Israel had only used its brawn and not its soft heart.
