1. And the monkey keeps chattering...
Yonatan ,   USA   (08.29.06)
He can get away with it because the U.N. is so impotent.
2. Iran's Oil Power
Kevin Bueso   (08.29.06)
I believe the main reason Iran is developing such a plan to continue its nuclear program is its oil powers. Iran knows that if any country sanctions it, the oil will automatically go sky-high, which would only hurt the US Economy and other heavily industrial countries.
3. What Purpose Will The Debate Server?
emanon ,   USA   (08.29.06)
A debate cannot produce anything binding. Iran will continue to develop it's weapons regardless. Even if Bush agreed to the debate, I'm sure the next delay tactic would be over where to hold the debate. Then there would be endless discussion over the format of the debate and the rules of the debate. And while the world is focused on all the shennigans for the preparation of this mock show, Iran will continue its weapons development program. By the time any agreement over the debate is finalized, it will be too late: Iran will have produced its bomb.
4. why is this guy being ignored?
jack ,   USA   (08.29.06)
It's pretty obvious this guy wants to talk about issues. Are we too good, too arrogant to at least talk? Finally, I don't support this guy but almost all his comments are taken out of context (similar to the way Bush is made to look in the film Fahrenheit 911). Misunderstanding is a communication problem that can be solved.
5. UN Security Council
Johnson ,   usa   (08.29.06)
Having Russia and China on the U.N. Security Council proves how worthless the U.N. is, and why it should be disbanded.
6. no
(08.29.06)
unfortunately for us, if there was a TV debate, Bush would lose!!
7. Come on Cowboy
Foley ,   Manchester England   (08.29.06)
Your enemy is daring you to a dual on a world stage. Cowyboy Bush will say no, and only fire missiles at Ahmedinejad from far places like a coward.

Cowardice is found all over the United Kingdom except from Tony Blair.
12. #7 President Bush is a great leader!
Mark ,   USA   (08.29.06)

14. This guy needs to be medicate.
Harissa ,   Argentina   (08.29.06)
15. Brave Ahmadinejad
Dono ,   St Albans, England   (08.29.06)
Bush should happily accept this invitation if he is truly representing the USA, 'King of Democracy'. He always speaks loudly on the comfort of his seat and backings. Now face him and have an adult debate! People all around the world should judge this!
16. Iranian president shouldn't bother
jj ,   london,UK   (08.29.06)
or I should say he doesn't have to go down to the level of George Bush to talk about him. unfortunately PM Blair is becoming his loyal dog, and he drags the whole nation with him in his action. George Micheal wasn't wrong when he made the videoclip abut Blair.
17. RE: Come on Cowboy
p   (08.29.06)
Ahmedinejad is the coward. He sends his brainwashed slaves to die in efforts to kill civilians and then denies it.
18. Chimp Bush is too stupid to have a debate
(08.29.06)
Kerry owned him flat out. Unless Cheney and the neocon mafia have some headset installed to Bush.
19. #7
Dude   (08.29.06)
Bush has no reason nor commitment to agree to debate with that idiot monkey, he's obviously completely nuts, you cannot win a debate against an idiot that calls for the destruction of a nation everyday then goes into crocodile tears with statements like: “We do not threaten anyone, even the Zionist regime, which is the enemy." Iran's facilities should just be nuked, ignorance is bliss.
20. #16 What video-clip?
Mark ,   USA   (08.29.06)
The people of the UK have brought down their nation. They have great sympathy for terrorists and suicide bombers. They have embraced militant Islam. When will the Queen be converting to Islam?
21. #4
LEE ,   NY, USA   (08.29.06)
How can you seriously consider talking to a lunatic who insists the holocaust didn't even happen. This simple stance shows that he is not a man of reason and therefore no attempt at reasoning will ever bear fruit. He cannot be allowed to make a circus of the world.
22. #15 Weak UK
Mark ,   USA   (08.29.06)
The UK is the heart of Islamic Terrorism. Be strong, fight terror. In the United States, there is a war on terror while the UK needs to do a better job in fighting terror. London has become Londonstan.
23. #18 illustrates the stupidity of liberals
jeff ,   seattle   (08.29.06)
24. to #4 Jack, Is your left political ideas make you stupid?
ana p. ,   new york, new york   (08.29.06)
This guy is Hitler part II, and you want to him? Where is your brain man?
25. You can't reason with him, so why debate him?
DR ,   Florida, USA   (08.29.06)
You cannot debate a brainwasehd soldier of religious fanaticism. They have only on euse for their brain...to teach others to think like them. The only language he'll understand is a daisy cutter up his arse!!!
26. Ahmadinejad would hand Bush's ass to him
Kris ,   Ottawa, Canada   (08.29.06)
You can go on all you like but Bush is the ignorant clueless one. You know that Ahmadinejad has a Masters and PhD in Civil Engineering right? I think he's crazy alright: crazy like a fox. He makes just enough radical statements to keep the fundamentalists on his side but in the mean time, he's doing all sorts of housing projects, advocating that women be allowed more rights, etc. I also think he's a victim of bad translations and bad interpretation of what he's saying. The Iranian interpretations of what he's saying are that he's talking about how the holocaust has been elevated to the level of mythology such that all other issues are ignored. He also makes good points about the state of Israel. I don't think he's advocating genocide but rather saying that the STATE should be removed from the Middle East. As he says, the Europeans should bear the guilt of the Holocaust, why should Palestinians suffer?
27. It's a trap! Disagreeing w/ the gov't is a crime in Iran.
Sam ,   Virginia, USA   (08.29.06)
28. bush, too stup.. for a such debate
Micheew ,   Germany   (08.29.06)
he will never agree
29. Disbanding UN
Rick ,   Hopkinsville, KY   (08.29.06)
I am no fan of the UN, but it has its uses. For one, it can provide a useful cover for actions that are essentially the interests of the Anglosphere. And, when you get right down to it, just one nation can walk out and the UN is kaput. That nation is the USA.
30. To 1
Chris ,   LA   (08.29.06)
The funny thing is 'the monkey' can probably outdebate George Bush while in a coma if need be...
