All you know is dirty language. That is what you are capable of DR.Even the diginitaries in the USA and other countries are yet to come up with an answer to the is suggestion of debate, while you have your own thoughts always misguided by usage of filthy language.None of your talk-back impress a sober reader.Wait for the outcome..........you may be humiliated by your own article.
32. FURTHER TO #15

33. In Reality!!!
Ryan ,   Calgary, Canada   (08.29.06)
I think its a wonderful idea, but maybe add a few more as well, so much is done with diplomats and policy, its about time our leaders start acting like leaders and Lead. In the old days it was king to king, I think they should debate, as well as Putin, Blair, Olmert, Merkel, (maybe Chirac, lol) Harper, China's leader, and Japans leader. Maybe a few more of the "bigger" leaders. Start acting leaders, and let the whole world see this broadcast. The president of Iran, albeit, he has some really messed of theologies and beliefs, is an intelligent person, and I honestly believe that Bush is not the brains in the US Administration. Bush comes off as a bit of a dumbass, and I think he would be outclassed very quickly. don't get me wrong, I back the US, and I don't believe a thing this Iranian leader says or does, or wants to achieve, but you need to respect your enemy and not take him for granted. Anyone who has ever interviewed this guy says he's really intelligent and witty. I think Bush has done too many "side deals" that this guy knows about that the population doesn't, and Bush doesn't want it to come out, so I think Bush will definately decline. But if he were my leader, I would say, Yes, do it, start acting like a leader, instead of golfing and clay shooting in Texas. Bush has taken more holidays then any other president of all time.
34. Churchill talked with Hitler
Ryan ,   Calgary, Canada   (08.29.06)
Before ww2, if this guy is full of lies, then it will be easy for Bush to call him on it, and prove him a liar and a nut to the world, could gather popular support doing so. I do believe that bush relies on his administration for intelligence. And if all fails, maybe they can duke it on on international television. I bet there would be extremely high ratings. I would enjoy this debate, obviously if this guy is a nut, it would be easy to prove, and if Bush is a liar and secret agenda guy, that would be easy to prove too. But I do give him respect for doing so. And yes Churchill and other leaders did meet with hitler before ww2 and during the early stages.

WHO THE HELL THEY THINK THEY ARE TO BE PLAYING WITH THE WORLD THIS WAY????. STUPID PEOPLE WHO CHOSE THEM!!!!
36. Television is a great medium...
John Corish ,   Dublin, Ireland   (08.29.06)
...and we should use it more. Wonder what would have happened if there had been television back around1935 and Hitler had challenged Churchill to a similar debate? I'd say Winston would have beaten Hitler's sorry ass and shown him up for the vain, silly little despot that he was. Through such public humiliation a mortal blow might have been delivered to the little fascist's narcissistic and fragile ego and a whole lot of pain and suffering thus avoided. Sadly, I see no evidence that the Texan cowboy has Churchill's oratorical flair and I fear that Ahmadinejad might emerge from such an encounter with his reputation actually enhanced!
37. Greedy Nation ???
Kashif ,   Karachi, Pakistan   (08.29.06)
The US has more bombs than all the rest of the countries put together, now it wants more oil than all the countries put together. If it gets it, what will this selfish country want next ? Can someone please remind me why did the US attack Iraq ? Because it had WMD ?
38. Bush V Ahmadinejad
Jack Dumphee   (08.29.06)
In a battle of wits, Bush is already disarmed.
39. 2 sides of the same coin
janus ,   usa   (08.29.06)
Both are recklessly off the deep end in their own little special way. Plus, if you want to hear the debate in English, might as well let the interpreters debate. Although it would be nice to see something truely hilarious on network television. You can bet, No matter what happens short of trading nuclear weapons, Im sure both will claim they won as they make asses of themselves. But does anybody take either's rhetoric seriously. Its those people you gotta watch out for. and they look alike too.
40. TO ALL YOU NON-AMERICANS OUT THERE...
KEITH ,   NY,USA   (08.29.06)
You haven't a clue about President Bush except what is shown on the media. I for one know axactly what kind of leader he is and he is one of the best this country's seen sinse President Roosevelt!! So keep spouting out your ignorant crap from your mouths and continue to sound like an airhead! Keep on truckin Mark, i;m right here next to you holding up that great man.
41. #28 Bush will not talk to the Hitler of 2006
Mark ,   USA   (08.29.06)
Many talked to Hitler but he did not stop. He only paid attention to bombs. Evil does not listen. Evil acts on its own accord.
42. pointless
Reason ,   Canada   (08.29.06)
This man understands that the holocaust is real, but he chooses to lie to his people. The purpouse of this lie is to inspire fear so that Khamenei can keep his knife to the throat of iranians. This kind of lie is what terror is. These people are terrorists. No reasonable person should ever talk to a terrorist. It is like having a debate with a 6 year old on why he cant have any iced cream.
43. Ahmed is buying time: don't be fooled

mike ,   gedera   (08.29.06)
46. Bush can't talk
Gobeland ,   Seklerland   (08.29.06)
Due to his IQ Bush is unable to link together two words and unfortunately this is reflected in his fullish actions. Altough it would be interesting a debate between an islam fundamentalist and a Christian one
47. Debate?
Watchman777 ,   USA   (08.29.06)
THAT debate would be quite interesting to say the least, seeing that NEITHER has a firm grasp on the English language!! (LOL)
48. Bush could surprise you
Betsy ,   usa   (08.29.06)
I caught a rare glimpse of an eloquent Bush. he can be quite eloquent if the circumstances are right, and when he is pushed beyond his intellect (which leaves something to be desired). he cannot debate on a purely intellectual level. he can barely pronounce some words correctly. but, win or lose, what would it mean? unless Bush is pushed far enough to lend strength to truth, the debate would serve no constructive purpose. sigh. with few exceptions, these talkbacks are just a bunch of name calling back and forth, reminds me of an old political cartoon where two men, in rags, are sitting together alone on the ground. there's rubble and destruction as far as the eye can see. the men are eyeing each other suspiciously. one says, "you sound like a damn commie to me" hope for human nature? please?
49. Bush can not afford his nation to know the truth
stiev ,   Canada   (08.29.06)
our media always hide reality and the show only what they want to. so live Debate will open the mindes of our nation which is just we can not afford. So say noooooooooooo
50. #40: Did Y'all Cede Again?
emanon ,   USA   (08.29.06)
In case you don't understand big words: What country are you living in? You sure don't live in the same country I do. You don't get it do you. I'll make it simple. It is about you putting gas in your pickup truck. That is why that half baked cowboy has good Americans dying in Iraq as a prelude to them dying in Iran. Just like his daddy's war was about the price of oil, so is this one. If you want to support that, I'm glad you are not part of my country.
51. Bush is the worst pres since Roosevelt
ROxdog ,   nashville   (08.29.06)
Anyone that worships him shuold pat themselves on the back for helping to destroy America. Thanks a lot @ssholes!!!
52. Running for President ...
Steve ,   USA   (08.29.06)
B"H This Ahmadinejad is reportedly acting like someone who is running for president of the United States, putting forth propoganda, and wanting an election debate! There is a reason why Torah Law and the United States Constituion set that the leader needs to be from among bretheren. I can tell you that if this guy is allowed to induce the vote through military threats, this has seriously undermined the American democracy. Is he going to sponsor ads in major newspapers and so forth as a fifth column in the United States even beyond the current influence? Or are we going to hear "unbiased" opinion pieces in the Washington Post like we heard from the Hamas leadership? "Ahmadinejad challenges Bush to TV debate" ... does that mean that citizenship has no value here and that Americans are forced into TV charades with such people bent on undermining the American democracy? I am not listening to his TV show. I would not want this Ahmadinejad as a presidential candidate of the United States because I think he is very undemocratic in his use of military power to overthrow governments such as the attempt on Lebanon and democratic Israel. I think, therefore, that his nuclear capabilities should not be permitted to point in our direction. He is quoted as: *The president made it clear that Iran would not ‘give up its right to develop its nuclear program,’ He has no such right to threaten and undermine stable democracies with his military as was done in Lebanon with the potege Hizbullah organization.
53. To No. 40 Regarding George Bush
Marlene ,   New York City   (08.29.06)
As an American, I say Bush is great also...if you like liars and bullshitters. What has he accomplished? Attacking a sovereign country on a bunch of lies, destroying it, killing thousands of innocent civilians, sending American men and women of to die. He has not even done justice for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. My concern is what other destructive acts he'll out before his term is over.
54. Bush is a great president
Christian Bianrossa ,   NJ, USA   (08.29.06)
Too bad most Americans have fallen for the smear campagin. Rumsfeld didn't send enough troops to Iraq in the beginning, but that is not Bush's fault. It is also not Bush's fault that the jihadists are killing everyone in sight. That is their nature, not the fault of the US, or Bush. Winston Churchill was looked at as insane when he warned of Hitler's danger. The same is true of Bush. The enemy that he warns us of is very real and Bush has killed many. He has made the world safer by bringing the garbage to the surface and eliminating a lot of it. Unfortunately if he Arab world does not reform, we will face this problem for a long time to come.
55. Amen to #53
Ryan ,   Denver, USA   (08.29.06)
Ahmadinejad is a radical fundamentalist who is only trying to get world attention. If Iran didn't have the oil that it has we wouldn't even be discussing it. The problem is that Bush and his gang are also radical fundamentalists. We're dealing with two sides of the same coin here, folks. Americans don't see this because they're too busy either a) being "poser" radical fundamentalists themselves, most of whom have never even picked up a bible themselves or b) so self-absorbed in their disgusting consumer-driven, wasteful, vane, ego-centric, American-centric pitiful excuses for lives that they don't have time to actually think for themselves and see the wool that's been pulled over their eyes. Let's face it, people, we're a nation of spoiled little brats in a candy store that will vote for and support anyone that will condone our dirty little addictions....at the expense of the rest of the world. But don't worry, we can screw this planet up because the one and true savior is coming to rapture us all. Don't American fundamentalists understand that they sound just as crazy to the rest of us as the looney tunes in the middle east?
56. I challenge Ahmedinejad to a thumb war!!!
DR ,   Florida, USA   (08.29.06)
57. There is nothing to debate!
B.J. Mettbach   (08.29.06)
Perhaps his superior might have something to debate with the pope? How could the free world remain free, once we started debating with likes of him? Firstly, what about the United States Embassy in Tehran? For more than one quarter of a century we have witnessed the tyranny of Clerics and fanatics in Iran; leading up to the recent Hezbollah conflict with Israel. I’m surprised that he and his superiors learnt nothing in Lebanon. I’m still debating whether Bush was the courage to impose an embargo on Iranian oil exports? Knocking out the Iranian Air Force and Navy with a sudden blow would allow the free world the chance to negotiate the conclusion of the attempted military build-up by the Iranian Ayatollah’s Revolutionary Forces. I think there might be room for a debate within the military as to acceding to Iran’s leadership’s secret desire to enter the nuclear armed epoch by having the USA send them more nuclear arms than the Ayatollah’s can stand. Once the dust settles, then the military could debate the future of the defeated Iranian government’s remaining holdouts. While everyone at the UN were busy debating prior to the invasion of Iraq, Saddam Hussein had ample opportunity to cover his tracks and thereby make Bush look like a liar. Well, we all know that the President of Iran is a prolific liar and a genocidal maniac. Predictably, they want to talk. They want to keep talking until they have completed their covert program to amass weapons to be used in a bid to take over the entire Middle East; particularly the oil fields in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. A maniac member of the team that abducted the occupants of the United States Embassy now has the gall to want to engage in a public debate with the President of the United States. I doubt that debates between Roosevelt and the Emperor of Japan or with Hitler would have helped one little bit. Churchill and Hitler had nothing to debate.
58. Debate
Robert Hellman ,   washington DC   (08.29.06)
The Iranian would crush him. Hell, Marcel Marceu would crush him.
59. Open letter to Ahmadinejad-joon
(08.29.06)
Your existance is based on a myth too Your country had its backside kicked in way back when and converted en masse to a version of Islam that isnt even supported by the majority of the muslim world The Sunnis hate your guts The arabs hate your guts purely because you are parsi, not arab You even write farsi with arabic script because you dropped your indigenous script hundreds of years ago So what does that say about your precious persian culture? Looks like a total f*ck up if you ask me
60. Ahmadinejad
Johnson ,   USA   (08.30.06)
