31. 2nd round ?!?
vit ,   usa   (08.30.06)
If it comes to that (2nd round) Israel will turn the rubble in Lebanon into sand!
32. Transparent strategy
Jossi   (08.30.06)
a rather transparent strategy. while Nasrallah's seemingly meek remarks are intended to make the Hezb feignedly look 'weak', re-arming is going on full swing in the background. Make not mistake about it: Hezb and all other islamist militants have to be totally defeated before there can be real peace.
33. Is it me? Or does that guy look like he's
wolfrunner ,   san diego   (08.30.06)
a few wrenches short of a full toolbox. Oh, well, I guess that's the result of generations of arranged marriages between cousins. Now if he looks like that on the outside, it begs the question of how he "looks" on the inside, i.e., his brain.
34. And what do you think Israelis are doing
CaptAmerica ,   USA   (08.30.06)
This guy thinks the Israelis are gonna sit on its hands and not learn the lessons from the last record? If the Hezbos wanta start a new round, they will get their rears handed to them big time. We gotta do something about those Stone Age rockets.
35. to 26
Kofi ,   Canada   (08.30.06)
I see your ready, ready to hide. Your ready as the Hezolla to sacrifice your fellow "other"country people, while sitting in Canada.
36. #28 Alex your eyes are up your ass pal.
ERIC,,, ,   ISRAEL   (08.30.06)
They lost the war pal, this time it was only 80% done, next time100%.We wont let these lunatics ruin the life we want peace.Looks like you have forgotten 9/11 what a pity.Maybe just DUMBER. Alex one more thing you just dont know the Arab mentality.
37. sif al din
gadalyah   (08.30.06)
in the memorable words of isaac singer sif al din has the face of a murderer.
38. Next time is lebanon's last time
jason white ,   afula,israel   (08.30.06)
Our next govt will not consist of cowards and fools.Next time there will be no leb. We will not waste our money on parasites, but we will rearm and retrain.
39. Reply to perpetualdream - 15.
James ,   Glasgow, Scotland   (08.30.06)
I cannot get over how stupid you guys are. In every conflict there are casualties on both sides. Usually the winner regardless of casualties is the one left holding the ground. That is war. Now we know that the Hezbullah and Lebanese casualties were way above Israeli ones and Israel is still Israel while Lebanon is not. It is a devastated and fragmented country right now and will be worse should Hezbullah try it on again. Your posting, assuming you are Muslim, is like your religion, all noise and no substance so dream on. Ever thought why Israel keeps whipping you even with one hand tied behind it's back?
40. Reply to Alex - 28.
James ,   Glasgow, Scotland   (08.30.06)
I fail to see how they, once pulverised, can do anything about it. Hezbullah is more Lebanese than the Maronites or the Druze, I don't think so. Hezbullah's only reason for existance is to help wipe Israel off the map but then maybe you have never read Nasrallah's boastful speeches. It is a little ambitious of you to assume that the lunatics will ever be able to do what you say if we did to them first that which they will do to us anyway. I assume that you are also sitting at your computer so yes it is easy to expose your feelings about an abnoxious system whose only desire is world conquest which I trust you and yours do not desire since you go by the name of Alex. But then again the name may be a figment just as your posting is. You mean Nasrallah ran away in case he got hurt or captured don't you? Not unknown in criminals or crooks. The dummies are the Lebanese as they are the ones occupied all on the ambition of one man. So where does that leave you and your notions?
41. Too bad Hezbollah spends money on war instead of peace.
David ,   Boston, USA   (08.30.06)
Thats the mentality in much of the Arab world. Struggle against peace, oppose history, oppose prosperity, blame others for your own problems. I'd want a better future for my children. I almost feel sorry for people in the Arab world...almost.
42. The second round.
James ,   Glasgow, Scotland   (08.30.06)
Israel should ask that all Jews and Christians leave Lebanon, Syria and Iran for the forseeable future. If it didn't bring these morons to the negotiation table at least it would clear the decks should action again be necessary. Peace or paradise the choice would be theirs to make. Sounds like a contradiction in terms, peace, a word they throw around like confetti, yet paradise is where they want to go meaning that they have to die for the peaceful religion before they qualify for paradise. How does one negotiate with that?
43. #41 That goes for Israel and the US too
Ibrahim ,   US   (08.30.06)
So typical! Reported today Israel's poor are up to 1.6 million , guess how much money they spend on Cluster bombs. That goes for the US a year after Katrina!?? Hypocrits.
44. Bring Nasrallah out from that stinking den first
KMR ,   Middle East   (08.30.06)
45. To: 19. Iranian perspective on all means...
Nicolaus ,   San Francisco, USA   (08.30.06)
Again, objectivity is the first victim of chauvinism. 1. If Hizbullah thinks that their country is in danger, what is Israel doing to eliminate the suspicion? By refusing to sign the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty? Given that Israel has 200-400 nuclear bombs and the readiness of its failed politicians to send young Israel men and women to die unnceessarily, the Iranians (and the Labanese) have everu OBJECTIVE reason to fear Israel's suddent attacks - as in 1956 and 1967. 2. Israel did not react to the kidnapping of 2 soldiers. As you know and the world knows israel have been planning an attack on Hizbullah for a whole YEAR. read the New Yorker of last week, the San Frnacisco Chronicle for more details about the White House-Israel plans. Acytually it makes the statement of Hizbullah Representative quite smart! Getting ready for continued preparations by Israel and our manman in the White house to attack again! 3. It is standard practice of the ruling circles in israel to claim that they "are fighting international terror." This is impressive, but so untrue. Even our princess of Darkness told the Israeli politicians to stop hijacking the issue. As a result I suggest that the statement: "Iran will attack other nations" falls in the same categfory of rightening us. Well, we are more frightened for the Israeli and iranian people than our own security. The Iranians cannot reach us. It is really boring dealing any further with the warcries of someone who does not want to take the reecent defeat of Israel as a way to GO OUT AND WORK FOR PEACE. But probably you are not in Israel, so you can afford sending the young men and women to war on behalf of reckless dreams that are no longer possible to achieve. The only way forward ios peace. The Israel Army incapacity proved that. 3.
46. ...Reply to Alex - 28
Nicolaus ,   San Francisco, USA   (08.30.06)
For a country which lost the war by the adminission of its Chief of Staff, it is fascinating what comes out from its supporters - while sitting three thousand miles away. I don;t believe the israeli aArmy woujld want to go into Lebanon again... and killing women and children from the air is not what many Israeli fighter pilots liked, or would do again. If you really love Isreal, work for peace with its neighbors - OR: fly out to Israel and get into to the trenches... With such arrogant mentality, I doubt if you would surbviove a single battle with Hizbullah.
47. #36, Eric
Alex ,   Washington, DC   (08.30.06)
Eric, Please stop believing the B.S .you read about. I know the Arab and the Israeli mentality EXTREMELY Well...It's written in the manual of Zionism that "the only language the Arabs understand is the Force". What a bunch of Hog Wash.... Most Young Arabs these days are just as educated as you and me and any Israeli claiming to be hollier than thou... If you want to promote peace then show people the respect they deserve and talk about peace, not turning a society or city into dust! And just in case you didn't know that, the Arabs have made GREAT CONTRIBUTIONS to civilization - Inventing the Algebra and Medicine, as well as being masters of Astronomy. Just look up the names of hundreds of stars with Arabic names.... Jews have made Wonderful Contributions to Civilization and so have Christians...We are all human beings and God created us with brains to use. .. Enough of bashing Arabs and anyone who disagrees with Zionists or Bush Cronies...Using the words "terrorists" and "Facists" is getting to be rediculous when if you were to adhere by the definitions of such words, then that makes Bush and Olmert and those who stand by them, FACISTS and TERRORISTS too!! Let's be honest and not just pick and choose when to use Correct English!
48. #42, James
Alex ,   Washington, DC   (08.30.06)
You and Eric sound like to ass cheeks in one boxer shorts... You are so Arrogant and Naive. You love to talk tough and promote evil! Please read my response to Eric and enlighten yourself...you need an education badly, but then again, that might not be possible until you acquire a brain first! If we were to go by your own explanation, then that makes the Americans, the British and the Israeli Stupid too for lining up behind Idiots like Bush, Blair and Olmert!
49. Hizbollah quoting Livni, resign already you stupid broad!
Asylum Aleikum   (08.31.06)
"We all understood that no one can disband Hizbullah, even Israel's foreign minister admitted this"
50. #21 Response
Rick ,   Ocala FL USA   (08.30.06)
How about this for an idea.... We could preach tolerance for everything except a viewpoint that runs counter to our own. Or, better yet, why don't we pretend that this is a public forum and each person has the opportunity to present his or her viewpoint. So, with that in mind, rather than me 'cooling it' from my 'murderous dreams', I'll continue to present my opinion AND I'll champion your right to espouse an opinion that differs from mine. Yes, now that I think of it.. that does sound like the 'American Way' -- or at least, how it SHOULD be. BTW, there's a great Nicaraguense Cafeteria in your city, in the Mission District if you ever get the chance to go there.
51. #41 Ibrahim
Rick ,   Ocala FL USA   (08.30.06)
Certainly, you have every right to make your viewpoint known. I'm also confident that you were either born in the US or are living in the States lawfully. What I don't understand is -- if you hold the US in such contempt, why do you remain in the United States?
52. #46 Nicolaus
Alex ,   Washington, DC   (08.30.06)
I agree with you whole heartedly...You make an EXCELLENT point! Thank you.
53. 21 And whats left in Lebanon. a pile of rubble.
(08.31.06)
Whats your point Nicolaus, Lebanon is just that. Is that the way you win a war having your country totally destroyed. Reality.. uh... thanks...
54. 24 Fadi .. How are China and Russia
freedom ,   canada   (08.31.06)
profiting from all the arms sales to Iran, which then supplies Hizbullah. You should really do your research to get both side of the story.
55. 26 What Lebanese resistance?
freedom ,   canada   (08.31.06)
Are you talking about the women and children and innocent christians in the civilian population that Hizbullah hid behind. Ok. Mo I understand now where you were coming from.. What a glorious resistance.LOL>
56. #51 Rick , we the people
IBrahim ,   US   (08.31.06)
Thanks for your polite response! There is a great difference between holding the US as stated responsible and contempt for the country. I do hold the current administration responsible for marginalizing its own poorest people and it two faced policy in the middle east.Although we are not a democracy , the US is a republic we try to impose our flavor of democracy dejour by force . The bill of rights through the first amendment garantees the right of expression and beyond. It is a call against federalism that is shaping into a new empire and depriving some states of its rights.
57. to Mr brave words# 13
lebanese ,   lebanon   (08.31.06)
You know I liked your comment about turning south of Lebanon and Beirut into dust so tell me what did prevent you from doing this because I am sure it is not your good intentions because part south of Lebanon did turn into dust and the only thing which prevented you from bombing Beirut is threaten by alsaid nasserallah whom let me remind you of his words "if you bombed our capitol we will bomb yours" so please spare me your words who only show false arrogance
58. Cowards with guns - not Terrorists
Lango ,   Detroit, USA   (08.31.06)
Right on my Canadian friend, the freeks in the Middle East are nothing more than cowards with guns. The sooner the rest of the world figures this out the better off we will all be. The U.N. should change its name to the U.L. Use Less, what a joke.
59. Nuke Iran and all will be peaceful...
(08.31.06)
