There's been a nasty strain of anti-Americanism in Canada under the previous administration, but it looks like things are improving with the election of the new Prime Minister. Aside from domestic issues Can and the US have a great relationship. Quebec wouldn't get all the money it does, immigration would slow to a crawl, alberta would raise royalties and give more to the equalization, we would stop all exports until the US gave us our softwood money, I would end free trade if they didn't, they need us more than we need them.
