Sinn Fein leader to meet Hamas officials     Associated Press
31. Meir and the 2 IRAs
Meir, as you should know, the IRA and the IRGUN were both fighting the British. it only makes sense that the IRA helped the Jewish fighting groups. So the claim that the IRA aided Begin does make sense. Was there ever a terrorist incident involving Israeli targets that involved the IRA? You know there were none. I don't know anything about any "new" IRA, but many in the DP camps could tell you training was sponsered by the IRA.

32. Sinn Fein
You are all wrong! SF is the only european party that can make progress in the middle east. All of the people in the middle east will benefit from ending this long term conflict. Don't be so fast to seek out war when it should be avoided whenever possible. The fact that Hamas is willing to meet with SF is a very clear sign that progress can and should be made. Also the fact that Israel is willing to allow Gerry Adams to enter the country is an important happening. Not all the talks need to be in the open. The government of Israel may say one thing for the public but still leave some space for SF to work out some conflict resoluation. There is no threat to Israel and possibilites may appear to further a long term peace and stability. You may be able to get what you want without the loss of a single member of the IDF. Is that so bad??

We must not forget that one man's terrorist is another man's patriot. I would be hypocritical to call these people terrorist because my country, my home was won from the British with the blood of "terrorist."
