The article does not say if this footage if allegedly from 20 years ago, if it is supposedly current footage of Arad or if the footage was supposedly taken sometime in between.

It is a crime against humanity that Israeli leaders released Arad's cruel kidnapper. An emaciated Arad is clearly being starved and massively abused whilst nothing but the very best is given to Israel's terrorist prisoners. Israel's leaders continue to demonstrate their sympathies are not with Jewish victims. Their sympathies are with Islamic terrorist killers. The Jewish people are like the human body. If you inflict pain on one part, the entire body is affected. Thus, the pain suffered by the famlies of the kidnapped soldiers is shared amongst the entire Jewish people. It breaks the heart of every Jew. Our heart goes out to the families of all the kidnapped soldiers. May G_d grant their speedy return.

reading recently about Ron Arad case, it's a bit complicated cause it's not only about him or about lebanese hostages. the deal is to give Ron Arad corpse, or something from what left, in return to know what happened to the 4 Iranian deplomat who were kidnapped in lebanon in 1982 and disappeared, some people say that they were killed by the lebanese forces(israel strong ally), and some other pepole say that they were taken to Israel, the whole deal about Arad is possible to be solved once information about the iranians released at the same time. but who knows if anyone have or know where are the Iranians? or anyone know where is Arad? mayb the both parties are gone forever??

Yes, it appears clearly that Ron Arad was being starved, he lloks half his size. It is also heart-breaking to see that he is also somewhat afraid. Look at his eyes. His mother never shed a tear when she was appealing for his release. She died without knowing what became of her son. Israeli government: stop releasing live prisoners!!! These pictures look as if they were taken within a few years of his capture. 3 at most. It is now 2008 and Ron Arad is certainly dead. From the look of the footage, he is nearing the final stages of starvation. He is beyond emaciated. How can they treat a fellow human being like this? Unless they themselves have opted out of the human race. Iran treats its own citizens no better, executing minors (girls of course) for immoral conduct. But the protracted torture for Ron's family on seeing their son like this doesn't bear thinking about. Rip Ron, for I hope you are finally at peace.

I'm an American born Syrian. I dont apporove of any middle east countries policies, especially Isreals. But enough is enough, Isreal has arab prisoners dating back to the 70's. It's time for all prisoners on both sides to be released, they are POW, stop the war drums, and release them!
