I hope their prison has a golf course. And of course gourmet meals. After all, 14 days of incarcerataion is an almost unbearable punishment.

Military Court is different from civil or criminal court, but this sentence is ridiculous, even if it were to be believed that this young girl consented. The older soldiers should have known better. This sentence is a joke. These guys should be getting at least 3-5 years for their crime and for conduct unbecoming.

To #2 Miryam, I believe the article said they were accused of having sex with the girl, and not accused of rape. I don't know what the usual sentence for rape is, but I don't think they were accused of that, only of having sex with her, which of course is bad enough. Where in the world were her parents through all this! Young children boys AND girls, need supervision.

Let's all imagine, this dude who's only 14, but is highly developed for his age, looks older, talks older, his parents ignore him and let him run about free, he's surrounded by these sex-starved amazon vixens, one of them "takes advantage" of him, and shows him the joys of sex. Whether the 14 year underaged girl consented or not to sex with these hooligans, it is still considered as 'Carnal Rape'? Now, what happen if the young girl was the daughter of the Base Commandant? Israelis are arrogant elitists like Americans; both groups think that their lives are more precious than anyone else's, both groups think that they're God's gift to the human race, etc. Many Israelis are taught from a young age to think of themselves as the 'poor victim', and when you constantly think of yourself as a victim, it somehow becomes more acceptable to treat other people like dirt.
