I enjoyed this piece. Too bad people are so stuck on posting venom that they can't even see their own hypocrisy and enjoy the humor in this column as well. These talkbacks remind me of a pack of uncivilized angry idiots. Ray, stay strong, there are MANY that support you and admire you. For them, you are the medicine that tastes bad going down but will cure the disease after enough doses. These haters are simply vile. If I were Jewish or Israeli, I would be ashamed of the arrogance and lack of self-respect they have for themselves and how they are portraying their own. Surely there are Jews/Israeli's out there that do not espouse such disgusting disrespect and behavior. I feel the same way about Palestinians that use hate rhetoric the same way.

Until I had read the comments to Ray's latest column, I didn't know which I disliked more: Ray's incessant progagandizing about everything that is wrong about Israel, or the comments that suggested that the persistent support of some for all of Israel's actions was a reflexive and thoughtless knee jerk reaction. Well, I still don't care much for Ray's propogandizing, and am ill at ease at the notion that people deliberately hide books that they wouldn't like others to see. But I have to say, I now am sympathetic to those who cry that the defense of all things Israeli is a knee jerk reaction. Do any of you truly know anything about Ann Coulter? Likely not. Your sole reason for supporting her is that Ray chose to speak against her. From my perspective, Ann Coulter is neither a "friend" of Israel, nor a lover of Jews. Rather, she is a Republican mouthpiece. It may surprize some of you to learn that, when the opportunity suited her, she has treated Israel with the same disdain with which she has regarded everything else not to her liking. Anyone in need of a wake up call about Ann Coulter need only listen to recent tyrades defending the rabidly anti-semitic demogogue, former U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy. Though Senator McCarthy is widely castigated for his conduct during his pursuit of communists, he earlier gained fame for championing the cause of the Waffen SS Officers who committed the Malmady Massacre. Oh, yeah, he objected to the tribunal on the principal ground that one of the judges was a Jew.

It sure may seem that way, but are there facts to back this up. Never-the-less you have to wonder why he's never responded to any criticisms here without name calling -- "haters ... extremists..." and school child name degredation and twisting even towards thoughtfull respondents. He says he really got to them ie. got them upset, but his current tactics are not even funny or close to the caliber of other professional journalist at YNet like Attilla Somalavfi (? last name). Maybe Hanania needs a bit of vacation. . . . or does he have such secure backing that he feels he can let his personal abuses get in the way of professional obligations. The amount of electronic space like paper still has a limit. Anyone whose read the last two articles "Talkbacks" understands that Ray owes an appology to the readers; NOT because they were offended, any adult would ignore getting angry over such lack of maturity, BUT because readers deserve better. Why does anyone waste such a privalege as publishing in such an informative e-zine as YNet with such childish displays towards readers in Talkbacks. They don't even add up to humor for humors sake.
