For what it's worth, as someone who has been observing this conflict very closely for some time now, I can most assuredly tell you that Hamas will not recognize Israel. The reason is simple. They CANNOT because their raison d'etre is the destruction of the State, just the same as it was with the PLO and Arafat. And any indication to the contrary, on the part of Hamas, should NEVER be taken seriously because it will only be at Israel's peril.
