Who will judge the judge?    Eichler, Cohen
1. supreme court
I would like that the supreme court judges should all be torah sages, but since that's un realistic, at least there should be judges who represent the population,ie,if our country would be 50/50 dati/lo dati, so too the judges,50/50 dati/lo dati.

2. Eichler's piece is drivel bullshit!
He would have Israel be ruled like the mullah's rule Iran! Barak's jurisprudence strengthened the democratic nature of this country, as Cohen correctly notes.

3. Keep the courts out of security matters
Keep them out of religious matters and let the knesset legislate and not some group of unelected dictorial judges. They do not know it all and probably know less than the average citizen.

4. Barak protected Eichler's right
Justice Barak protected Eichler's rights to free speech and to practice his religion the way he saw fit. Barak protected us from Eichler's kind who would dictacte every facet of our lives. If the Datim are so sure of the superiority of their way, why do they try to force us to stay home on shabat or eat kosher or do any of those things? If they are so presuasive, why can't they convince more than 15% of the population (over-represented by the poor and unemployed whom they often have to give aid to to "convince" them). Do they realize their attempts at forcing religion down our throats is causing people to be anti-religious? Jews abroad are more religious because no one is forcing them to be! Eichler is the one who wants power over us, that's all.
