Barghouti: More kidnappings if top prisoners not freed    Roee Nahmias
1. More kidnappings
More kidnappings if prisoners are not freed. More kidnappings if prisoners ARE FREED.
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (09.27.06)
2. FREE BARGHOUTI
(09.27.06)
3. If free he would make Arafat look like Ronald Mcdonald
(09.27.06)
4. He's Alcapone with a Quran.

5. this is bizarre
Am I missing something here? A convicted murderer serving FIVE life sentences is threatening a sovereign independent state - and his comments are deemed fit to be publicised and bandied about? This is a bizarre scenario - are we to stand for the bald threats and lies of this man? Is this what democracy brings us the Israeli people? He is a convicted murderer, for heaven's sakes, why should his comments be published? (and this goes for any convicted murderer, including Yigal Amir, before I am branded as rascist....) Shut him up and bar his visitors until we and the world are allowed a visit or even mere sign of life from our boys Shalit, Regev and Goldwasser.
Dee ,   Israel   (09.27.06)
6. Barghouti´s ravings.
This man thinks that Palestinians can get away with kidnappings without paying a price that´ll be higher and higher until ........!
Isaac Haskiya ,   Roskilde - Denmark   (09.27.06)
7. DEATH PENALTY IS NEEDED
Than there would be no reason to "trade", no reason to have a loudspeaker for the terrorists. WTF is going on here, how can Israel allow these slaughterers to still breathe. Dont capture them, dispose of them!
(09.27.06)
8. too many ifs
so if all prisoners are released there wont be any more kidnappings and if Israel withdraws there wont be terror. Well, at least the second part was tried and there is still terror. I am glad el Sana is convinced.
Ian ,   London   (09.27.06)
9. Barghouti's World...
Spoken like the true Islamofascist terrorist that he is - give us what we want or else... Why do the pathetic Israelis keep allowing this menace to freely air his opinions? Are Israel's MIAs allowed this and the other luxuries this piece of meat gets?
Erik   (09.27.06)
10. MORE KIDKNAPPINGS = TARGETING OF HAMAS TERROR GOV. LEADERS
Sam ,   USA   (09.27.06)
11. He's right
There would not be kidnapping, there would be killing and murdering, as that's what they do and that's who they are. Listen to the man, he's telling us the truth. So we can't say afterwards, but we thought...
Nome ,   Israel   (09.27.06)
12. This Is An Overt Threat: Try Him For Extortion Too
It's long past time to take the gloves off with these Philistine terrorists. We should give them 24 hours to release Shalit and then if they don't comply, start executing terrorists. Until they either release him or there are no terrorists left. Then we should capture more terrorists and repeat the process.
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (09.27.06)
13. If they didnt attack Israelis, they wouldnt be "prisoners"
Dont try to pass off responsibility of your stupidity on anyone else.
RA   (09.27.06)
14. mr. barghouti
you are a criminal!, sentenced to life 5 times over. count your blessing that unlike other countries, israel doesn't have a death penalty . i only wish they did so scum like you will not be allowed to live. you not only hurt israelis, but the chance of your palestinians for a better life. the fact the israelis give you a chance for forum for your rantings and ravings attests to the fact that israeli prisons are humane. i shudder to thing what you people do to the israeli soldiers you capture and imprison. by the way, they also feed you very well since you do look like there are plenty pounds and kilos on you. and....you still possess your own finger nails and fingers, which plenty of our captured by you lost during interrogations in your prisons. we are not interested in your empty threats and twisted mind. go back to the cell you come from because i am sure you now live in a much better condition than if you were in gaza or the west bank. at least someone is watching over your actions. setting you free will cause death and mayhem wherever you are. for you killing is killling. no reason but hate. stay in jail. we are not letting you go anywhere! and....at the end we'll get shalit and the other two israeli soldiers. we are a tenacious people. we don't leave our dead or kidnapped behind....unlike you arabs that left all your fallen soldiers and terrorists dying in the sand during all the wars with israel. you just picked up your boots and left. sure! you don't respect life....i forgot....the kouran says so too. death over life is honor. well, please do us all a favor and die already!

15. To Roee Nahmias
Who is behind your back? Who staged this interview with the convicted murder? And were your soul? You are legitimizing his rights to kill by giving him a chance to get unlawful freedom. What is wrong with you?
Anna ,   Canada   (09.27.06)
16. Not a roadmap to peace BUT a stepping stone for terror…
Halutz is a man tired of the situation, much like the rest of us in this world… and I give him a lot of credit for having first hand experience and for standing steadfast in the face of liberal leftwing pressures… but I digress. Barghouti is trying to say that more kidnappings will come if he isn’t released. Justice should be blind, it should not discriminate, but it by no means should justice be disabled… but I digress. The question I’d like to pose is, why is it so hard for the world to understand that liberation and freedom is not akin to terrorism. A quote I heard from an American friend of mine can sum this up the best: “fighting for peace is like f*cking for virginity” And so, what exactly is terror fighting for. They’ll argue they are fighting for peace; but I dare them to point out how productive that has been. Look at the Lebanon war. The winner of this battle does not concern me, what concerns me is that Hezbo added nothing to Lebanon (in fact the war lapsed it back two decades). Iran lost a strong hold in the south, and Israel will walk away a stronger army from this experience. Hamas’s victory in the pali government was donned as a victory for terrorism, their acts were so wildly supported by the palis that hamas became a political institution. But, again, is that a victory, terrorism only brings more pain to the palis. Hamas only brought with it more hunger and strife. Palis as a nation have given up, they have instead thrown their support behind terror organizations that display themselves as saviors and martyrs. Religion is not the obstacle. Religion is just a tradition and a belief in god. Palis, by giving up and failing to establish themselves as a nation, have given up the most sacred god given right… the right to self preservation. They die for hamas, not for territory. Remember this, without Isreal, there is no need for terror. Without terror there is no need for Hamas. If Isreal goes and Hamas stays, there will need to be another target, another problem… Hamas will need to justify the terror. Without terror people will start thinking about democracy, food, jobs, education, public services. If people start to think this way, Islam will force them to back track. Terror has hijacked Islam and it uses Islam to take people back to the dark ages. Back to cave dwelling and farming. WHY? So that terror organizations in power today can continue to prosper. The funny thing is that terror has learned about this god given right called ‘self preservation’ and like a virus it requires its host to die. Today this host is the Palestinian peoples… tomorrow this host will be the world. Kill the virus…
LeoP ,   Moscow   (09.27.06)
17. "Senior Palestinian Officials"
Maybe Israel should mirror Pal and Arab punishments - and execute the prisoners. Then, there will be no excuse available for kidnapping Israelis. And less of a burden on Israeli prisons. Does anybody outside of the Olmert administration really think the kidnapped Israeli soldiers will be returned alive?
Chuck ,   Parsippany USA   (09.27.06)
18. at least....
he looks well-fed, well informed and can express his thoughts! my dear brethren, we're about to get worldwide condemnation from bbc, cnn, reuters, amnesty international etc...etc..
bernie ,   faransa   (09.27.06)
19. Only Olmert
Only Olmert would consider a prisoner swap that would encourage more kidnappings. Dump Olmert!
Sidney ,   USA   (09.27.06)
20. If Israel only released child killers like Kuntar...
What insanity...Israel is responsible because they don't release murderers?

22. Why is Bargatti dead yet?
Seems to be enjoying captivity too much
Marc ,   Italu   (09.27.06)
24. Why
Why is this murdering scum allowed to speak to YNet and the media and act like a little tin pot dictator from his luxurious cell? Take away all his goodies, put him in solitary lockdown. Better yet, hang him.
Aviva   (09.27.06)
25. Keep all Hamas "Lawmakers" till all Captives are released.
I promise positive results . Time to rethink strategy-Dont give in because they Kidnap! Israel must also respond inkind,Not give in.
Alan ,   SA   (09.27.06)
26. End the kidnappings by killing all the palis
and leb prisoners.
jason white ,   afula,israel   (09.27.06)
27. Palestinian reasoning....
It is Israel's fault that these Palis and Lebanese criminals were caught and are being held in jail. It is Israel's fault that the sun shines. it is Israel's fault that the world is round. Etc. etc. etc. Pathetic people like #2 above, make excuses for everything and always blame others for thei own shortcomings.

30. captured soldiers
#17. i doubt it. shalit, maybe. the other two are long gone. this is why no one is mentioning their names. everyone is concentrating on shalit alone right now, egypt, israel, etc... but the ones in hizbullah hands are long long dead. the hisboz know they are dead. this is why they are raising the stakes for israel to release the most notorious terrorists in israeli prisons. knowing they already killed these soldiers, the hizbos are asking the israeli government for something they'll never get. mark my words. no one will ever see these two brave soldiers, and no freedom for barghouti and other notorious terrorists in israel. unfortunatly, these soldiers are on iranian soil and may come home one day in body bags. curse all these terrorists!!!!
