Is it a political identity (Israel is politically different from every other country in that region, how are Palestinians different from Egyptians, Lebanese, Jordanians, Syrians, etc.) Is it a religious claim on that land (please don’t humor me). Do Palestinians feel they were kicked out of Israel once Jews arrived (the UN resolution calling for the creation of Israel ALSO called for a two-state creation, it was the arab rejection of this resolution that led to a downward spiral for the palis). Do you feel the land was stolen (you fought for it, you lost, they won… where else in history has the winning party given up what it fought for solely because the other side cries foul?)
