4. IF WE JEWS THROW DOWN OUR GUNS THE ARABS WILL SLAUGHTER US
DAVID P ,   SANTA CRUZ, USA   (10.10.06)
NO ONE CAME TO OUR RESCUE IN THE PAST, NOR DO THEY HELP US IN THE PRESENT AND ARE UNLIKELY TO HELP US IN THE FUTURE
5. The hypocritical vile entity (Iran)
Sandra ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (10.10.06)
Ynet: why do you even publish this rubbish from the savage in Iran? Can't even write his name, let alone look at him. That's another point: stop putting his ugly face in the newspaper, everyone knows what IT looks like. Makes me want to throw up!!
6. Hypocrisy
Concerned Israeli   (10.10.06)
The Iranian regime can talk till it's blue in the face about the NPT. They're too stupid to understand that nobody believes their nonsense when they disregard that same treaty that they're preaching about. I guess the amount of oil in Iran makes up for the lack of intelligence in their leadership.
7. fair or what!
Freeman   (10.10.06)
disarm Israel of all its nukes or every country in the middle east will soon have its own WMD....zionist-american hyporacy will of course find excuses for israill!
8. Exactly right
Shomera ,   London   (10.10.06)
The Jews cannot depend on any nation or people to defend them, not then and definately not know.
9. Nukes? What nukes?
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (10.10.06)
Who says Israel has nukes?
10. Nuclear powers should always impose their will by force
Jean Saladino ,   Europe   (10.10.06)
Yes, no double standards with those big mouths controlling the security council of the fake united nations. Begin with dismantling yankee 7600 atomic bombs (and they are huge dangerous to the peaceful and weak nations!), also start controling Israel's nuke facilities and dismantling all jewish nukes and then start speaking of democracy and desmantling iranian and north-korean atomic sites....bombs for all for self-defense or no bombs for nobody, let's be less hypocritical. A world with all nations with nukes should be a nation in peace. If Lebanon have had at least one or two little nukes to self-defense, the Israeli invasion and massacre of last months would never have been occurred, that's so simple. The powerful with nukes will always impose his will on the feeble and weak nations.
11. Hey Saladino #10
Concerned Israeli   (10.10.06)
What's a "Jewish nuke"? Is that the new Israeli technology to fight the Muslim nukes?
12. # 3
Faisal ,   India   (10.10.06)
Both sides are using violence to justify thier cause .. Palestinians and lebanese in the name of resistance against occupation and the Israelis in the name of self defence .. but both are killing innocents from both sides. Arabs cant beat IDF in conventional arms, and Israel do have advance technologies compare to all its neighbours. So here u want to defend that Israel should not give up nukes in ME . and only by nukes Israel can be save. then i dont think that north korea did any thing wrong now and if Iran is also trying for nukes then its also not doing wrong . All the same Nukes in ME only Israel have. In Asia .. Russia , China , India , Pakistan .. i dont think that the danger which India poses from China and Pakistan is the same with Israel .. Does any of the neighbours of Israel have nukes ? Dont lie to urself now that arabs will slaughter Israelis . now who is slaughtering whom cant the world see this. Wake up dude .. and Come back to Israel and help urs peoples against Arabs . dont sit there in USA and have a nice life .

15. Errrrrr...Slight difference old Ahmedineieieiejaaad
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.10.06)
We are a democracy and most people here want to live. You are a dictatorship, an insane irresponsible dictatorship that will place yours and others lives at risk. In the 21st century when a democracy has nukes it is to prevent a dictatorship from ever threatening them with nukes. When a dictatorship get's them it is up to one man to push the button. It shouldn't be one that talks all the time about exterminating a country.
16. world peace
izaak ,   australia   (10.10.06)
the best thing iran can do is take in a million palestinian refugees from lebanon and gaza at least for temporary refugee for ten years declare a ten year truce on uranium enrichment and call for the dismantling of the north korean stalinist atheistic entity.
17. @14 to the ignorant paranoid
Jean Saladino ,   France   (10.10.06)
Read more books and learn that Iran is a democracy and Ahmdijenad is full elected president elected by iranian people itself. And they protect iranian citizens of all faiths including those that read the Talmud. If George Bush was less ignorant the world could be safer nowadays. Don't be scared if Ahmadijenad says that he wishes to trhow out the zionist régime in the mediterranean sea, it's just rhetorics to make fear to young children; Anyway, Israelis are well protected by their 400 hundred jewish nukes, who will dare??? Come on, stop paranoia!
18. #14 We Are Not Your Dhimmis Anymore We Protect Ourselves Now
David P ,   Santa Cruz, USA   (10.10.06)
19. No, you disarm first Iran
John ,   NZ   (10.10.06)
20. Nuke Disarmament
Mark Braun ,   Sarnia, Ontario   (10.10.06)
Yes, the Iranians are threatening Israel and yes the Americans are duplicitous and one sided in their approach (as usual). US policy continues to be transparently unfair, unjust and actually pretty stupid. No country should be able to be above International scrutiny. Israel should NOT have to give up its weapons , but it SHOULD have to declare them publicly and open up its program to International (IAEA) scrutiny. Israel should join the NPT protocol and stop acting like it's above International Laws - because in the end, continuing to act arrogantly and hiding behind American vetos will only serve to prop up its enemies as world opinion builds against the failed policies of Bush and the rest of Nixon's sleazy, evil bunch of empty souls.
21. Iran should lead by example
Steve G ,   Kew Gardens,NYC   (10.10.06)
Iran should, by this logic immediately begin throwing all of its missiles, guns, planes and ships to the bottom of the sea. They should immediately disband the Revolutionary Guards and their army as well. This will be a Shining Moment of Peace in the Middle East ...as well as a concrete example of what the Honorable President Ahmadinejad preaches. You first, Mo.
22. USA is a bunch of lying hypocrits
john ,   sandy shores, not US   (10.10.06)
Just like the united states disarmed. i mean, invaded half the world in the last decade.
23. Close but still so far
kevin ,   USA   (10.10.06)
Without justifying anything. 1) Iran has recently called for the extermination of Israel. 2) Israel, has never called for the reverse. 3) Islam calls for the extermination of infidels, who can be anyone some Imam decides to name. 4) Judaeism doen not call for the wholesale destruction of anyone.
24. r u kidding
Larry ,   USA   (10.10.06)

25. The purpose of atomic weapons
Traveler ,   The United States   (10.10.06)
Since WW II and the dropping of the bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima it has been the purpose of countries to obtain these horfific weapons not to use them but to let it be known by example the huge mistake it would be to provoke their use. The Atomic Powers have no intention of exterminating races of people, other countries, or the planet. This mess of the atomic arms race has started as a way to keep an unspeakable unimagionable power that would never be used as a constant reminder supposably to keep peace in the world. This kind of power has to have checks and balances and controlled or completely worldwide disbanded. Since the later doesn't seem to be happening, responsibility has to be assumed by proven responsible world leading countries. Do the Irainian people have a plan for the enriched uranium? Where are the power plants? Why do they need the heavy water plants? Isn't this is only used in weapons? Where are the medical facility research plans for humanitarian purposes that have generated the need first before the enrichment projects? These should have been in place, perhaps lending more weight to the peaceful nature of the project thus more convincing to the world. You should show us these.
26. Where's the moderate voice?
Tom ,   Las Vegas USA   (10.10.06)
Once moderate Muslims voice becomes louder than the extreme voice that is prevalent in the Middle East, we can consider what would need to be done to make this world a safer place. Right now, extremist Muslims are fomenting the problems that they so complain about.
27. US/Israel
Shaun Hansen ,   Indiana, USA   (10.10.06)
Israel is getting strong enough to fend for herself. The United States had to fend for itself as well. How the US beat Britain in its revolutionary war and how Israel beat every Arab nation at once during its similar fight for survival- only God knows, and I don't say that figuratively.
28. He's Right
Daniel ,   USA   (10.10.06)
Regardless of threats and innaccurate accusations the Iranian president has made in the past, he does make a good point. Combating nuclear proliferation without concurrently pursuing and enforcing nuclear disarmament is pointless. The concept underlying his arguement is one we are all familier with. If you want to lead, you must do so by example. The U.N. Security Council has either chosen to ignore this, or worse, has not even realized it.
29. Not exactly right
Tom ,   Las Vegas USA   (10.11.06)
While leading by example is one thing, you cannot disregard comments that have been made by the Iranian President regarding the destruction of another sovereign nation which they refuse to recognize. That combined with their willingness to subsidize terrorists around the world shows that they are a threat without nuclear weapons and that it is futile to unilaterally work on disarmament while trying to coax a country such as Iran to transparently give up a nuclear program that they claim is for peaceful purposes. By peaceful do they mean that they are developing nuclear weapons so they have a deterent to prevent others from taking action against them thus insuring their peace? I am all for disarmament, but I am against doing it in a manner that would allow nations such as Iran and North Korea to hold the rest of the world hostage.
30. Not really.
Lewis ,   USA   (10.11.06)
It would be impossible for Iran to disarm. They haven't been armed in the first place.
