Israel must do something to stop the immorality and incompetence in its government because it is destroying Israeli society. Although every government has rogue politicians and incompetent diplomats (witness the Foley and Clinton sex scandals, and the inept American diplomacy prior to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait), Israel cannot afford to tolerate such malfeasance. Although Katsav has not been convicted, there appears to be sufficient evidence that would require him to take a leave of absence. Besides the seriousness of the charges leveled against him, he succeeded in alienating many Reform Jews after he refused to call Rabbi Yoffie by his title of Rabbi or Rav. His stupid reply that his refusal was based on his beliefs become more hypocritical considering the charges leveled against him. I wonder if his belief system allows sexual harrassment and rape. While this was going on, I couldn't believe the racially-charged and ignorant comments by the Israeli ambassador to Australia. Was this idiot on drugs or drunk or was he just incompetent? This has to stop.
5. They'll never get me
Bill Clinton ,   USA   (10.16.06)
That guy don't know how to play the game. Tell him to call me, and I'll tell him to get away with it.
6. Katsav rape investigation
Paul R. Hoffer ,   Norton, Ohio, USA   (10.16.06)
It looks like your country has the courage to prosecute a politician who committed a sex crime. Not only did my country not prosecute Bill Clinton, it re-elected him for another term.
7. Sign of what's to come
malcolm   (10.16.06)
The entire cabinet will have to be extracted like bad teeth. They will kick and screem all the way but eventually they will be removed. too bad Israel has to suffer this horror after all that these criminals did to the country.

Howard Dean ,   Vermont   (10.16.06)

10. #5
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (10.16.06)
But you weren't a rapist, you were just a guy who couldn't refuse a blow job. Well, Puritan American is still paying for your act, after deciding they wanted a "God fearing" prez, who couldn't get a blow job even if he paid for it.
11. Another supporter of disengagement "bites the dust"

malcolm   (10.16.06)
No matter how bad the Little Rock Liar sold Israel down the drain for a shot at his Carteresque Legacy Scam, you Democrat Jewish liberal women still fawn when you just hear the name Bill Clinton. Pathetic!!
13. HE DIDNT KNOW THEY PUT TOO MUCH VIAYAGRA IN HIS FOOD
REUVEN ,   USA   (10.16.06)
I DONT LIKE HIM , BUT IHAVE TO SAY HE IS NOT CONVICTED YET AND THEREFORE NOT GUILTY.THE FACT THAT HE IS NOT WALKING OUT SHOWS TWO THINGS, HE BELIEVES HE IS NOT GUILTY OR HE THINK THE MAY NOT FIND HIM GUILTY.IF HE IS GUILTY HE JOIN THE MULAHS IN IRAN IN THE CITY OF YAZD AND THERE ARE ALOT OF WHORES AS MANY HE WANTS.
14. #12
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (10.16.06)
You're making a lot of assumptions about who I am, aren't you?
15. a far bigger issue
NL ,   Israel   (10.16.06)
A far greater issue than whether or not Katsav should resign prior to being convicted/acquitted is the phenomenon of sexual assault and harassment world wide and its particular manifestation in Israel. Sadly, in Israel, this important issue is treated almost as a non-issue: With no minimum sentencing requirements, sex offenders often receive less jail time than thieves. This ludicrous discrepancy is only exacerbated among the nation's elite, where we can see people like itzhak mordechai, who was convicted of two counts of sexual assault and yet received only 15 months of conditional jail time (no real jail time). Additionally, although he had the rank of major general (reserves) in the military and had committed one of the assaults while in the military, he was not, in the end, relieved of his ranks. Such actions - or more accurately, such inaction - by the judicial system and the military sends the heinous message that sexual offenses are not big deal crimes. THIS is the big issue that MUST BE ADDRESSED. AND CHANGED.
16. Rushing to judgement
David Schwartz ,   Phila   (10.16.06)
Why have so many made a judgement when he hasnt even been indicted? Even look at the above article. Was there an effort to present Katsav's position? This looks like another political mud-slinging job by the Israeli press.
17. No Big Deal
Algore ,   Washington, USA   (10.16.06)
Hey, Bill Clinton did much worse. What's the big deal??
18. It depends on what the definition of "is" is
Bubba ,   Little Rock, AR USA   (10.16.06)
19. No Biggie
Bill Clinton ,   USA   (10.16.06)
Hey, it's easy as long as the economy is good. Just smile and lie right to the camera at least 50% are going to be dumb enough to believe it. Luv Bill XoXoXo
20. you are stupid
Curly ,   USA   (10.16.06)
Bill Clinton didn't commit a sex crime. He had consentual sex with a woman who was of age. If you cheat on your wife, in no matter how sleazy a way, it doesn't mean you commited a "sex crime". moron.
21. No, you are stupid
Ken Starr   (10.16.06)
Clinton committed several sex crimes. He just was never charged. Ask the women he groped and raped.
22. Innocent until proven guilty?
Jeff ,   Nasvhille, TN (USA)   (10.16.06)
Typical "knee-jerk" reaction in government. A man is innocent until proven guilty ... unless a woman uses the word "rape."
23. #20
Randy ,   USA   (10.16.06)
Have you forgotten Paula Jones, Geniffer Flowers, and the other half dozen or so women how claim to have been sexually assaulted? Miss Monica asked for these women didn't!
24. Juanita Broadrick
Abdul ,   Dearborn   (10.16.06)
Juanita Broadrick is the woman who accused Clinton of rape. You should know that.
