2. I hope he will have his claims accepted.
Keren ,   Sao Paulo   (10.18.06)
It is very unfair and sad what has been done to him and his wife. Amir has been clearly persecuted. These kind of things should not happen in Israel.
3. i'll bet he demands a conjugal visit

not a hero....a murderer!
5. yigal Amir
magdalena ,   Belgium   (10.18.06)
Ygal Amir is a murderer, he took a live ,and has no rights , we should forget he is a live.
7. A hero?!
Ben Hiatt ,   Portland Oregon, USA   (10.18.06)
A hero? No Rabin was a hero you knuckle-head. Without Rabin there would be NO modern Israel, it would have been crushed by the Arabs when they invaded you. Yigal Amir is just a filthy murderer. Say what you want about Rabin’s politics but without him there would have been no Israel to have politics. To call that worthless murderer a hero is nearly as outrageous as letting him breed. In the US we would have taken care of him like should have been done.
8. it's good to want

he should have worried about his sex life BEFORE he committed murder

Without Rabin there would've been no Hamastan on Jewish native lands. Without Rabin these people would still be alive: http://www.geocities.com/israeli_eyes/ It is Oslo criminals who belong in jail.
10. Amir
Aria ,   Israel / USA   (10.18.06)
For all those who hate Igal Amir. He is a convicted murderer but he is being persecuted beyond the law. No other murderer is being put through what Amir and his wife are being put through. I have no respect what so ever for Israel for doing this. It's more like revenge than justice!

Rustum ,   London, UK   (10.18.06)
Did you forget that Amir killed a serving Prime Minister? As such, he was tried and found guilty of murder. I'm glad to read that you have such a forgiving heart. Does that also extend to innocent Palestinians banged up inside Israeli prisons? It's amazing the amount of blatant hypocrisy one reads here - emanating from Sao Paulo. Of course he cannot be allowed conjugal visits. It is obvious that his sicko "wife" will smuggle something into prison hidden in one of her bodily recesses. As for your crass statement "these sort of things should not happen in Israel" - do you mean locking up convicted murderers and not affording them the rights of innocent citizens? Or are you actually saying that you agree with people assassinating serving Prime Ministers - in which case you are guilty of incitement to murder and almost as much an animal as Amir.
12. Igal Amir
sabbageorge ,   TEL Aviv   (10.18.06)
Amir is lucky to be alive.he should have been shot on the spot! Does not deserve any rihgts, and as for Trimple"hore" (just did it for publication)
13. what's the problem?
don't get political ,   get real   (10.18.06)
Every first degree murderer even when driven by criminal lust alone (and not a one time political one) gets to be intimate with wife every month at least. Igal's wife is going to inevitably complicate her heath with medical treatment, and no one has a right to punish her fot no fault of hers
14. Sick people - #1 and #2
(10.18.06)
You two are very similar to Hamas. You're blinded by hatred and are just as evil as any member of Hamas. This man is a murderer and deserves to be locked up for the rest of his life! He gave up all his rights, including the right to have children when he decided to shoot Rabin.
16. Lucky to be alive
israeli ,   israel   (10.18.06)
Igal Amir should have fried. But Israel has no death penalty. He should thank his lucky stars that merciful Israeli judicial system spared his miserable life. He still gets to eat and drink and talk to his family, and he even has a wife. Is that not enough?
17. 11. we don't need the opinion of an arab sitting in London

MR AMIR,YOU PUNISHED YOURSELF BY KILING A PERSON IT MEANS, YOU VOTED FOR YOURSELF NOT TO HAVE SEX AND THIS IS THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR A FOOLISH ACT.SO THE DESERT FOR YOU IS "" SOAP WITH A PLAYBOY"".AS WRITEN SOF MAASEH BE MAKHSHAVA TEKHILA.ONE THINK I MUST SAY, THIS GOVERMENT SHOULD RESIGN WITH ALL THE FOOLS IN IT.

You are an absolutely primitive creature.Typical of arabs. You are limited. Maybe a linguistics course would help you improve your cognition. You could try. I am pretty sure it will not work, but who knows...the little you improve ,is always something...
23. #10 The man is a MURDERER!!!!
Mo ,   Israel   (10.18.06)
Why dont we just let him out of prison, let him go, forget that he is a cold blooded murderer. That he took a life. NOTE: I dont make a distinction that the life he took was that of and Israeli Prime Minister, because a life is a life. To the Rabin family he was a husband , father, grandfather. There are country where murderers are given the death penalty. So what are we talking about, marriage, making babies. Why Ms Trumpledoor would want to have anything to do with him much less join the gene pool is another story altogether. I hope they deny his petition, vehemently!!!!

First of all, way to not even focus on his arguement. Second, his linguistics and thought process seem far more advanced than yours. You condemn Palestinian violence, but legitimize and promote Jewish violence against Jews who disagree with you and Palestinians. Why don't you understand that your position is hypocritical? If that's too much for your mind to comprehend then you're in trouble. I'd like you to explain to me where Rustum fails in his cognitive ability? And would also like you to explain how tolerance and peace, which Rustum advocates, are primitive ideas?
25. #17 I disagree with regards to Rustum
Everyones entitled ,   2 their opinion   (10.18.06)
forever outspoken, provocative and opinionated, he is also very articulate/erudite and unlike some of the talkbackers appears to know what he is talking about. You are just assuming his nationality, and I think it has no bearing on his response. In this instance I totally agree with him, that doesnt mean I always do but diversity is the spice of life and everyone should have his/her say, whether we agree with the responses or not.

Antonio try looking up what Rabin did for your country some time. The country you sit in exists because of the sacrifices Yitzhak Rabin made. I especially enjoyed your delightful Hamistan reference. Maybe you are right though, maybe because those people are the wrong religion or ethnic group they should be killed and driven out of your land along with anyone who has the audacity to stick up for them. The you can have a “pure” land untainted by those Arab Untermenschen. I was planning on just posting the first paragraph but since you don’t even seem to know enough about even your own history to realize that without Rabin you could very well have lost the Six Day War and not exist as a nation I will explain my last sentence. Untermenschen was a term used by the Nazi’s to describe the Jews. You see, they had had enough of those people of a different religion and cultural heritage squatting in their country (even though they had been there for thousands of years) and they were going to do anything necessary to insure the purity of their land. If that meant they would murder anyone in their way to do so, so be it. Hmm… WHO does that sound like…
