Indonesia is openly and officially hostile to Israel. This is not a generally open-minded state that has been pressured into not having relations with Israel. Count on Iran and Hizballah to have access to the drones within 3 months. Let's also ask who the drones would be used AGAINST.

"Access" to the drones means obtaining first-class intelligence information about the drones' strengths and weaknesses. That's not helpful. Note that Iran already has unmanned aircraft and is already supplying them to terrorists. Several were used by Hizballah (unsuccessfully) during the recent war. The point is that Indonesia is not even remotely close to being a friend of Israel. Indonesia is not fighting an enemy of Israel. Why should Israel sell military equipment to Indonesia? Let Indonesia buy military hardware from someone else.

What I knew Indon'salready made biz relationship with israel (since Gus Dur-president) but it's difficult to make diplomatic relationship cause the majority's muslim (90-95%) and it's not easy buy to israel, therefor through a Filipino distributor.

Actually, Indonesia, maybe in cooperation with a foreign partner, could have developped their own drone. I saw some prototypes in Jakarta, maybe 8 years ago. Their engineers have the capabilities to study and design the concept and their aircraft industry can manufacture the finished product. Indonesia needs surveillance patrols to fight against piracy and infiltration of illegal immigrants in the framework of fighting terrorisme.
