Israel has decided to overtly recapture Gaza. This has been very obvious from the threats flying now and then lately. Bush applauded Sharon for what is called unilateral withdrawal. The problem is how to keep its image; Israel should only resort to "provoked" action. As Israel is almost always having the initiative; so why not taking the initiative of provocation. A simple solution isn’t it.

If this happened because one group of Palestinians mistook another group of Palestinians who fired at them for Israeli solders and therefor caused the deaths of seven terrorists, I sincerely hope that many more of these mistakes will be made and hundreds if not thousands of Palestinian terrorists die because of it.

I do think that Europe tends to be in the middle when you examine the entire scope of opinions. On this specific story, you can get a wide range of takes depending on what you read. So like I said, we can never know.

I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but it's true. I'm an ordianary American. Maybe I don't spell very well sometimes. I never got "A's" in English class. I've been to Europe plenty of times. In fact, I've been to most countries in Asia and Europe. I like to say I'm a rather ordinary fellow living an extraordianry life. But my life is not so important. But again, don't believe much of anything you read from news sources. You can find different takes on almost any story has been my experience.

since when have these become a source of information? According to Gaza medics, a girl who sustained head injuries when she fell of some playground equipment, died in a missile attack. They later corrected the story and methinks AP (or Reuters?) had to kill the picture. Same Gaza medics reported a girl killed in a car crash as a victim of Israeli missile attack (it's always a double missile attack, never one, never three). The story was later corrected and the pictures killed. Gaza medics will report a wilted cucumber as having been killed by the Israelis. As to the Guardian, well, just like the old joke about the two leading Russian newspapers, Pravda (truth) and Izvestia (news) - there's no pravda in izvestia and no izvestia in pravda. And that's being kind to them at the guardian.
