3 Qassams fired at Western Negev    Shmulik Hadad
1. Worst govt in Israel's history
The IDF has been calling for weeks to take over the areas where they are firing the rockets from. But Olmert has been dithering and blocking the action. In the meantime he has gone after the sderot mayor and peretz said no public pressure will get them to act. Also they won't go into rafah to deal with the tunnels. But olmert will allow weapons to go to fatah and now peretz is seriously considering allowing badr brigade from jordan to gaza. This olmert/peretz combo has shown that the left will give everything away.

2. JEWS UNITE IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL, AGAINST ANTI-SEMITISM
I would like to invite you all to this online Jewish community. This website was created to serve as an online community for Jews all over the world, of every degree of observance, and of every sect and movement. It was created in order to combat the growing loss of Jewish identity, and to form a feeling of Jewish unity between Jews from all over the world – especially between Israeli and Diaspora Jews. We hope that with time, as we form a larger community, we will be able to become politically active by doing things like initiating petitions and donating to charities as a unified community of Jews from all over the world. http://www.globaljewishcommunity.com

3. WHERE ARE THE GROWN UPS?
No other nation would tolerate daily barrages of missiles fired into it's towns. This is a disgrace and defines Olmert's government. He should present the issue to the U.N. demanding an immediate cessation to these unprovoked attacks or risk the reoccupation of Gaza by IDF forces. Place the ball in their court and then act decisively if they balk. Refusal to react to these daily terror attacks is serving to reinforce the perception that Israel is powerless and weak. Olmert's uselessness is a known commodity, what though happened to the collective spine of the Israelis putting up with this crap?

5. #3 No Kidding!!!!
Can you imagine the Canadians lobbing rockets into North Dakota on a daily basis and nobody in DC doing anything about it or wanting to the UN decide what we should do? There'd be a convoy of SUV's and trucks on its way to ND, all of them loaded down with shotguns, M15 AR's, not to mention a whole bunch of things not too legal to have around the house. I keep thinking that I'm missing something about that Qassam business, but what???? It's simply incomprehensible.

you are 100% right. unfortunatelly, in the past, in the 60's when i lived in israel, rabin, golda meir, etc... would have taken care of business right away without thinking of the consequences or of who will be offended by our actions towards the arab states. today, however, israel, a modern, usa influenced country, progressive, etc.... is very much concerned about its image and feels it needs to wear the white gloves and think and act in a politically correct way. of course, paying attention to outside political demands for "correct" response and behavior limits the amount and type of actions the idf is allowed to execute. it's like world opinion or fear of it is causing the israli gov't to hold back and not react. it has always been a jewish problem to try to appease anyone against us, thinking that appeasement will work in our favor. it never has and never will. appeasement only works in the favor of the arabs. no country in the universe has at its root concern the survival of our country israel. basically, israel has always been on its own defending itself albeit with military support from the usa. olmert and peres are pacifists, not entirely wrong, but wrong for israel in the condition it finds itself nowdays. we need a stronger leader. one that doesn't give a hoot about world opinion because the world doesn't give a hoot about israel and its survival on this planet. many israelis feel as you do. they can't understand their government. they want action now and right away. they don't think about politics or appeasing other nations and their political views. unfortunatelly, israel doesn't exist in a vacum. it exists amongst other nations who often, i am sure, would like to see its demise so they don't have to put up with this ongoing thorn in their diplomatic field. i say to idf/iaf...ACT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. AND 'im ain ane le, me le?" IF I AM NOT FOR MYSELF, WHO WILL BE FOR ME? this is the question each israeli and jew should ask himself when considering the military actions israel needs to take up now, now, now!
