This is such unrealistic CR*P, by two ideologues who expect the Jewish people to be superhuman. Israeli society may not be at the level of morality, intellectual gigantism, and Jewish learning that any Jew or Zionist would like, but its not so bad either compared to most other European or north American countries, and I hadn't noticed they were on the verge of collapse. The level of delinquency and violence, although higher than in the past, is still far lower that the above countries. The family unit is much stronger and far more intact, with relatively few single mothers/teenage pregnancies for example. Even millions of secular Jews recently celebrated the mitzvah of building and sitting in a succah for example. There was 100% response to reservist call up in the recent Lebanon war and the reason there has been so much fall out in its aftermath is because people CARE. They are not abivalent to their country's future.Thousands of families took in complete strangers refugee families for weeks on end during the recent war and people cancelled their foreign holidays to stay here in solidarity. Every single inch of the security fence and every single checkpoint is a result of DEFENDING from this terrorism against Israel. G-d asks us in the Torah to fight against enemies who wish to destroy us. Israel's biggest problem sometimes is refusing to fight hard enough. If Olmert were to take on Hamas and the rocket launchers with most of Israel's might (enough to eliminate Hamas as a terror group), he would become hugely popular in Israel. It's a job that has to be done. If you love our enemies so much, why not ask them to stop raising their children to aspire to suicide as their life's ambition. It's child abuse and there's no excuse for it.
