61. #27...wow, you are really misled...
DR ,   Florida, USA   (11.15.06)
Poor Amy, thinks she knows what the world is all about and she's trying to stick up for the little guy (palestinians). But if she only knew that they never want peace with Israel, all they want is the destruction of Isarel. The US, thak god, has given aid to Israel so it can survive in the midst of Arab countries ( who are much bigger and have millions more people). Amy, if that is your name (maybe it Hassan, Abdullah, Sharifa?) how do you not see relaity as it is? Palestinians are led by groups who openly state they will not recognize Israel and they will not stop until all Jews are dead. If you think this is normal, then you need to get your head checked.
62. #49 Stupid Susan; #50
Mike ,   Atlanta, USA   (11.15.06)
Israel also has a prosperous, hi-tech economy after 60 years. The Arabs don't contribute to it meaningfully, nor do they contribute to Arab economies meaningfully. Surely you don't blame the "racist" attitudes of a few Jews for ALL of that. But then again, you're stupid. Janice, the same goes for you. Any suggestion that the Arabs take steps to improve their economies holds no candle to Israelis improving their own economie, despite the presence of a serious economic drag (i.e. Arabs).
63. #22 ignorant
Natan ,   USA   (11.15.06)
The same tax dollars that fund the UN...My tax dollars are funding UNRWA so your rag heads relatives can fill their stomach before firing missiles into Israel...Great idea, we stop sending money the the UN and those bastards starve to death..Bingo..problem solved!!!
64. # 27 AGREE WITH YOU, YOU ARE RIGHT
hanzalah naji ali ,   AL SHAJARA   (11.15.06)
65. to yonathan
susan ,   minneapolis, MI   (11.15.06)
My father was a diplomat and he was posted all over the region for many years where I obviously I had to live. So no need to give me lessons OK sweetheart ??
66. to mike
amy ,   boston, MA   (11.15.06)
Well I agree, personally I think that Eretz Israel wants to get rid of all Arabs and drive them to the sea. So you could not have more different opinions. As for Arabs shielding among the civilians well, yes, that is the typical excuse to hit civilians. Did the Vietnamese hide among civilians ??? And even let's assume that they do, why don't you give them tanks, and Apache helicopters. Then they would not have to hide among civilians like the "brave" Israelis, very brave to bomb Gaza and Lebanon from their planes but who shit on their pants when they have to face guerrillas like Hezbollah. I guess those 21 killed in Beit Hanoun last week were also shielding Hamas members, or worse, Hezbollah or Iranian operatives, how scary. Did you see the pics of the two babies with their heads blown off ??? It was very romantic I assure you. When 90% of the people that you kill are civilians, like the 1700 killed since June, that is called a WAR CRIME.
67. Janice then I'd be in good company, being Black myself

susan ,   minneapolis, MI   (11.15.06)
Yes you are right The US contributes 350 million to UNRWA while it gives 3 billion to Israel just in military aid. And let's not count the loans that do not have to be paid, or other types of help. That is an equivalence which is similar to the 450 Palestinians killed in Gaza for the 4 Israelis killed in the same period. The same proportionality of a country that thinks that it can do anything that it wants as long as it has the diplomatic and military cover of the US. 31 UN Sec Council resolutions vetoed, now that is a disgrace. The US gives more to Israel than to all Subsaharan Africa combined. But one day this is going to be over: Americans are going to realize that their tax dollars are used to massacre children, women and the elderly on a daily basis and they are going to say STOP. As you have seen the Palestinians as the Lebanese (if not talk to representatives of US aid) have said: put your American dollars in your ass. The right thing to do.
69. to mike
susan ,   minneapolis, MI   (11.15.06)
If your only argument is that "you are stupid" that really shows a quite depth of thought. Just read my answers to Nathan and come with something more because you appear as a dead serious racist.
70. try to be wise
hanzalah naji ali ,   al shajara   (11.15.06)
again i wonder where is israel strategies planed, and if they prepairing thereselves well for future, i am sure they dont think logicly, they are looking only to be war agent for usa so they keep recieving it funds, and this for the short run, if they look really for future they should build trust, and they must look for real peace with the palestinian and the other arab, so be rational, and try to find where is your real interest, build love, not hate by killing innocent people like what happen in gaza, hate will bring more hate and that unfortunately what happened in sderot today, be wise , one day you will find that u have to sit with these people and negotiate, so prepare to talk with people who can accept u, not hate u deathly.
71. Esther in UK: blaming does not fix the problem
(11.15.06)
unless you have a better suggestion other than to criticize, you should not bother to post stupid biased opinions. Are you implying that Israel's war crime record is worse than Nazi Germany's or the Janjaweed Arabs of Sudan? Who are you trying to kid? Do you think we are all as blind and foolish as you to believe your false generalizations? You really need a history lesson and a reality check!
72. To Janice from South Africa
(11.15.06)
Dissent is one thing, being annoying is quite another. You are fast becoming the ugliest troll on this talkback. Either make a convincing case using FACTS NOT SLOGANS or go pollute another site with your rubbish.
73. #65 Susan..Hey.. I spelled YOUR name right..LOL
Yonatan ,   USA   (11.15.06)
NOW it's much clearer to me...You're one of those who spent your life with the upper crust. A nice clean closet--I mean world. I didn't have that kind of upbringing. I had to deal with the dirty realities, war, etc... Anyway...I'm done with this debate. It's clear you will believe what you want to believe. Stay in your fantasy, it's much prettier.
74. why o why ???
jason ,   luton, UK   (11.15.06)
No wonder they want you to leave: You took their land. Even Israeli leaders acknowledge that. Only racist settlers like the ones who leave here do not see reality. Why do you think they live in refugee camps ?? Because they want to live there, in these 5 star hotels ???
75. so yonatan which refugee camp did you go to ???
susan ,   minneapolis, MI   (11.15.06)
In your 10 years I am sure you had enough time to visit each and every refugee camp: Daheisha, Jabalya, Al Aida. etc etc etc even those in Lebanon or Syria. Which one did you like most ???
76. to hanzalah: a little war can fix everything
susan ,   minneapolis, MI   (11.15.06)
a little war can fix everything, that is what they say in Israel so they are already looking for the next round. As long as "brave" Israelis have US help, they will always pick on the weak, like the Palestinians.
77. #59 u don't cite sources
(11.15.06)
where do you get those statistics? Are these numbers credible? Please provide a link.
78. #27,answer to dumb number 27...
stephane ,   france   (11.15.06)
poor little antisemite, you talked about the 21 arabs who died from israeli shells...the israeli explained that it was of course a mistake(such incidents happen in every war),and of course apologised for what happened.israel have NONE interest to strike civilians.you're so dumb to think that idf meaned to strike them...but on the other side, the barbarians to whom you lick the boots;blow up themselves in the middle of young israeli in discoteque(to give only 1 example),kill 30 of them, hurt scores of other, and it is not by mistake!they want to kill as much israeli as possible!and you will never hear their cowards president saying that they are sorry or ashame!you dirty little pig amy...you don't understand nothing about what's happening in israel,so TA GUEULE !!!
79. susan/ janice/maxime/dlphine/amy/eliza/sther
Northeastern ,   USA   (11.15.06)
are all the same person writing under different names. The content, tone and writing style are too similar in vitriol and screed to be different people all with dissenting opinions. I've been reading Ynets talkbacks since the start of the Israeli-Hezbollah war last summer and have just recently noticed a sudden upsurge in opinions heavily skewed toward propaganda on this site. This person is probably female and a muslim, that is the only thing that is pretty certain. Ynet should not publish her every time she posts because she always takes the higher moral ground with regard to bashing Israelis, yet she is a liar pretending to be people she is not. Nest thing you know, she'll start posting under Fadi's name.
80. Yes Stephane it is all a mistake day after day
Amy ,   boston, MA   (11.15.06)
Yes Stephane it is all a mistake, like the Ghalia family destroyed while picnicking on the beach, like Qana in Lebanon, another mistake, like Marwaheen where the IDF told the women and children to leave and dropped a missile on a van carrying 25 children and women, yes, like the milion (or was it 3 milion ?) cluster bombs dropped in Lebanon in the last 3 days of the war. Yes Stephane terrible mistakes, if these are mistakes the Israeli military are the most stupid people on earth as they commit them everyday. These are not mistakes these are WAR CRIMES and you are a WAR CRIME APOLOGIST !!!!
81. 12:0 wow that is Israeli morality
janice ,   cape town, SA   (11.15.06)
A bloodbath is taking place in Beit Hanun, the Israel Defense Forces runs rampant and kills at least 37 people in four days - and Israeli public opinion yawns with indifference. A brigade commander tells his soldiers, who killed 12 people in one day: "You've won 12:0," and the soldiers grin broadly. This is the moral nadir we have reached, following a long slide down a slippery slope: Human life has become cheap.

From Human Rights Watch: Israel/Lebanon: End Indiscriminate Strikes on Civilians Some Israeli Attacks Amount to War Crimes Israeli forces have systematically failed to distinguish between combatants and civilians in their military campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. The pattern of attacks in more than 20 cases investigated by Human Rights Watch researchers in Lebanon indicates that the failures cannot be dismissed as mere accidents and cannot be blamed on wrongful Hezbollah practices. In some cases, these attacks constitute war crimes. Fatal Strikes Israel's Indiscriminate Attacks Against Civilians in Lebanon This report documents serious violations of international humanitarian law (the laws of war) by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Lebanon between July 12 and July 27, 2006, as well as the July 30 attack in Qana. During this period, the IDF killed an estimated 400 people, the vast majority of them civilians, and that number climbed to over 500 by the time this report went to print. The Israeli government claims it is taking all possible measures to minimize civilian harm, but the cases documented here reveal a systematic failure by the IDF to distinguish between combatants and civilians. 85. to 59 check this from Amnesty International
janice ,   cape town, SA   (11.15.06)
http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index/ENGMDE180072006 The Israeli Air Force launched more than 7,000 air attacks on about 7,000 targets in Lebanon between 12 July and 14 August, while the Navy conducted an additional 2,500 bombardments.(1) The attacks, though widespread, particularly concentrated on certain areas. In addition to the human toll – an estimated 1,183 fatalities, about one third of whom have been children(2), 4,054 people injured and 970,000Lebanese people displaced(3) – the civilian infrastructure was severely damaged. The Lebanese government estimates that 31 "vital points" (such as airports, ports, water and sewage treatment plants, electrical facilities) have been completely or partially destroyed, as have around 80 bridges and 94 roads.(4) More than 25 fuel stations(5) and around 900 commercial enterprises were hit. The number of residential properties, offices and shops completely destroyed exceeds 30,000.(6) Two government hospitals – in Bint Jbeil and in Meis al-Jebel – were completely destroyed in Israeli attacks and three others were seriously damaged.(7)
86. Sderot/Western Negev Jews RELYon Daily MIRACLES for SURVIVAL
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (11.15.06)
Like no other military in the world, Israel takes the greatest care not to harm civilians. IDF soldiers are repeatedly killed because of Israel's policy. Serial killers-Islamo-Fascist terrorist organizations wage war on civilian populations. They hide behind women and children and fire rockets from within densely populated areas. It is non-stop war against the Jewish state. Sderot, Ashkelon and towns surrounding Gaza are under constant, incessant daily rocket barrage from the enemy. Muslim human bomb killers continually attempt to infiltrate into Israeli cities. YNET Article Sderot kids: Can't remember life without Qassams Miri Chason 11.08.06, 00:28 To the children of Sderot and the western Negev, life in the shadow of Qassams has been a traumatic experience for a long time...kids who have been under constant threat of rocket attacks. "We have no normal life. We never know what will happen the next hour when Qassams fall; we are not only afraid for ourselves, but also for our families. It's traumatic to think that someone close to us will get hurt. It's just terrible," said Bar, one of the children who testified before the committee... I have a hard time concentrating in school, and the Qassams affect my entire life," said Niv. "Every time I want to do something, I give up because I think that the alarm will go off at any moment... http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3325250,00.html Before Gaza's Jews were deported, Islamists rained down thousands of rockets on Gaza's Jewish communities. Daily miracles from G-D kept the number of Jews injured and killed amazingly low. Sderot's and western Negev's Jews now rely on daily miracles for survival. Every country on earth has the legitimate right of self-defense to protect their citizens from continual war waged against their civilian population. It is immoral to allow these attacks on Israel's civilian population to continue. The U.S. EU UN seek to give the biggest terror-supporting society in the world a second Global Islamic terror state in Jewish, Biblical Judea and Samaria, reducing tiny Israel at mid-section to indefensible 9 miles wide Auschwitz borders facilitating a second Holocaust of Jews. 88. Think more broadly, Susan
Mike ,   Atlanta, USA   (11.15.06)
You say Israel is more depised than ever, what with all the shellings and attacks. Israel also has a properous economy. Now turn attention to Somalia or Sudan, or any other Middle Eastern country. Much repression. Much death. Economic stagnation. As despised as Israel? Prob not. If you say that Israel, as a Westernized country, should have higher standards, then you're also a racist. So barring that answer, what do you have to say now?
89. To Amy
Mike ,   Atlanta, USA   (11.16.06)
Thanks for the reply. We know that Arab civilians suffer and that Israeli civilians suffer. To curb bloodshed for both peoples, why not support the Kahanist platform of removing all Arabs from inside of Israel? What alternatives do you think exist?
90. I knew you were racist with the Pal but also with blacks ???
janice ,   cape town, SA   (11.15.06)
But no wonder, nothing coming from Israel really surprises me anymore.
