Why did you allow this gov't to be formed and why did you allow previous gov'ts to allow Hezbollah to build up? I admire and praise your volunteering but until more Israelis start pointing the fingers at themselves the same tragic events will re-occur. I'm only saddened you are defending this gov't when they are clearly repeating the same mistakes if not worse as they have the benefit of hindsight.

This is in fact a slap in the face of Olmert. While O's sons abandoned their country , this man steps in the shoes of his dead son. He's an incredible example to the apathetic Israeli that scarfed down croissants in TA watching his stocks while his countrymen died in the north. A couple of years ago I ran into a gentleman too when I was doing my reserves, who has been doing this for many years, his son too was unfortunatly killed several years ago, and ever since he has volunteered year in and year out with his sons reserve unit, going through the same training as the (much) younger soldiers. The man is modest and humble, but he humbled me in his devoution to his people.
