Iran is a backwards third-world dictatorship with a failed economy held up by oil revenues & little else. The regime uses religious fanaticism & violence against it's own people to stay in power. I agree that Iran will not drop atomic bombs on Israel. But, they can destroy Israel by blackmailing Europe and Israel. To the Europeans, "stop economic ties with Israel or ...." To the Israelis in very bad economic situation (see above): "leave Israel or ....". As you say, Iranians are patient. Five, ten or twenty years might be enough to empty Israel.
