Bereaved father: Now we can sue IDF murderers     Ali Waked
31. This is what happens when the left runs the courts.
The left seeks our destruction as much as the PA, we should sue the left for every attack occurred vis a vi there twisted policies and rulings.

Are these Palestinians and HRW out of their Dumb minds;;After sending there own children to blow themselves up,IN israel, they are now claiming Compensation??,,Their MARTYRES,Murder innocent Israeli citizens This is outrages;;;So now all the Jewish Famillies that have suffered a loss, can now claim, Compensation from the Palestinian authority, for the Murder of their beloved ones..What does the Human rights Watch have to say to these Jewish Murders;;Or don't the Jews fall under the same HRW laws;;THE WHOLE OF ISRAEL SHOULD CLAIM COMPENSATION FROM THE PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY.This is totally absurd;and unfortunatly typical of the Palestinians,

33. Compensation
Not one brass razzoo for the PALS ! I agree that is tragic to lose somebody in this conflict, However if we start on this slppery slope , then the Pals have to pay for every murdered Jew by their suicide bombers, rockets , stabbing ,shooting. Of course the left wing orientation of our courts and society ( i.e Kadima) has to change .

Palestinians do not hate Israel because it is a Jewish state. They hate Israel because it was built on the land where they used to live... to me that seems rather natural to fight for your land if it is stolen from you. Let's say that the British would have given Palestine to Catholics in 1948 and the Catholics established their own country where Israel is today and did the same things Israel did (ie. occupy, oppress, steal land and water, etc). Well I would imagine the Palestinians would hate the Catholics who stole their land. There was even anger and moves for independence when the region was controlled by the Muslim Turks! So please this is not a religious thing, they don't hate Israel because its a Jewish state, they hate it because they stole their land and continue to occupy and oppress them every day. They would hate any country, no matter what religious affiliation, if they did what Israel has done.

35. Steve #26:
I visited Israel since 1966 and lived here during 1969 and 1970 and since 1977 have my base here. I can asure you that in the 70ies and part of the 80ies most Arabs did not hate us. They had mostly a wrong conception about what had happened to them since the English came into this area (1917, Allenby etc.). Your "alibi" that they hate us because we are Jews is too easy and does not fit the bill!!! I remember very well Israel in those days when the green line was actually a demarcation between 2 areas: the israeli and the jordanien one. Gaza strip was a non existing issue! We were perfectly happy then to get from the world and especially the Arab world the recognition that Israel as it is is the legitimate area of a legitimate state called Israel. That green line marks areas that are controllable. Not like today. We need to go back to defendable areas and then every poor soul who wants to cross that line against our will will be a dead man walking or a dead man already. If that is the status quo our neighbours want. If they want good neighbourship and cooperation, they are most welcome. We Israelis and they, the Palestinians can only prosper in peace.

Israel already does claim compensation... They control all economic activity in the region, they steal Palestinian farmers land with settlements and the wall. They also take the best farm land and water supplies in the West Bank! So I don't think Israelis should be the ones asking for compensation, they already steal plenty from the Palestinians. Secondly if you want to even begin to compare the number of innocent Palestinians killed in this conflict with the number of innocent Israelis, you'll find it doesn't even compare.

Why blame the Palestinians ? Sure , they need money for more missiles and weapons against us . YOU / WE SHOULD BLAME OUR HIGH COURT, WITH THE RETIRED NOTORIOUS LEFTIST - BARAK - FOR SHOWING HOW LEFT-BIASED THEY REALLY ARE . At least they could have issued a vice-versa rule, namely : Palestinian terrorists M U S T compensate Israelis hurt by them.

38. well..
israel has no right as a nation to enter into palestine and destroy the lives of suicide bombers families. that only creates more bombers. and it's just an eye for an eye. it's a cycle that israel is also in fault for.

I agree with you in part. I visited Israel in the late nineteen seventies and a couple of times in the early eighties and fully intend to make Israel my home before I expire. I am in agriculture so it is very hard to get away from it. One day, I hope soon, I will sell my business. This was a time prior to bringing Yasser Arafat into the land and you are right, I could walk in the bazaars of the Old City and not worry about an Arab stabbing me. But still there has always been this pervading resentment from, as you say, the early part of last century when Jews began returning in large numbers and Arab nationalism became mass-movement; with the inspiration of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who was recommended by a British Jew by the name of Herbert Samuel, High Commissioner of Great Britain, in an effort to be seen as neutral and to appease the Arabs. As you know, the Arabs began rioting and committing acts of terror and murder against Jews in the early twenties, in the late twenties and in the mid to late thirties, prompting Great Britain to issue their infamous White Paper which virtually strangled desperate Jews from immigrating from Germany and from Nazi occupied Europe later. What England did to the Jews was criminal. Jews have always had an outstretched hand of peace toward the Arabs but it's not been reciprocal. The native Arabs have consistently joined their Arab brethren in the some five or six wars of Arab aggression against Israel and polls indicate the vast majority of Palestinian Muslim Arabs support suicide bombings against defenseless Jewish men, women and children. Even Palestinian children chant, "Death to the Jews!" They dream of martyrdom. Jack, I am not an overly religious man, in fact maybe I am not very religious at all, but I believe (if you will pardon my terminology here) ALL of the land of Israel belongs to the Jews, from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River, From the Golan Heights to Elat and the Arabs are basically squatters on Jewish land, living at the good pleasure of the Jews who have generally proven themselves more than charitable considering what we have met and faced in Israel. I do agree with you, not every single Arab hates the Jews --- no doubt we do have some good friends that would live in peace --- but the vast majority hate us and would love to see us annihilated and or subjugated dhimmis. That's the way I see things from my study and from my research and from just watching, reading and listening to our enemies.

40. Arabs damaging me every day
Even if B"H not hit directly by Arab terror, they are damaging me every day, as I line up in security cues on the road and on entering any public building or office or store or bank or restaurant, etc. Hours down the drain, every day, every week, every month. Do Hamas and Fatah pay? No, they don't! They are the darlings of the world, as long as they kill and make life difficult for Jews. www.jewishyisrael.com www.jewishyisrael.org

You say that Israel has no right to interrupt the lives of suicide bombers and their families. You've got to be joking! Aren't you?
Steve   (12.12.06)
42. It should be re-named..The High Court of PA!!

the lives of the families should nto be disrupted by another nations army. you can't sue the suicide bomber because he is dead, you can maybe sue the palestinian government for it. but they won't say that had anything to do with it, maybe not directly. but what if his family had nothing to do with it. guilty by association? let's ruin the life a whole family or add to the pain of their loss already. it only creates more bombers when you attck a family with kids. think about it. do you know how the suicide bombers get involved in these missions? they are brainwashed and most do not let their parents know prior. so, of course, isarel has no right to disrupt the lives of their families. i understand S.B.s disrupt the lives of isarelis all the time but you really want to sue a terrorist group. why don't they disrupt their lives. Would you like to be repremended for your family members decisions. if they killed someone shoudl the family of the victim come and get you and disrupt your life?

Who shall we sue for "Kassam" attacks?

47. To Steve # 39 - we're getting too much off topic!
The issue here is that our High Court ought to make law decisions that are conform the prevaling law with a strong sense of "REALPOLITIK". Although the High Court made a reference to the difference in judging a war-situation versus a non-war-situation, this does not work in reality. If you have an ongoing situation of out of control spinning terrorism, lawlessless, mass murder and outright chaos in the occupied territories, then what do you expect soldiers to do when they are ordered to "walk" the streets over there? I know, I did it some years ago during the first Intifada and remember exactly my state of mind. And I am a West European born and bread social leftist......
Jack Klaber ,   R.Hasharon, Israel   (12.13.06)
