1. Be Strong
713 ,   Seattle US   (12.13.06)
The true test of strength is in your patience, unwielding resolve... remember your leadership responcibilities when those Qassam's are shooting. Those poor souls who are shooting, don't know peace in their hearts... It is up to you, Isreal to show them forgivness and peace. Never attack back, unless threated by an accual army. These poor souls have a bigger problem then you when they die. We don't need to make it worse for the people who are trying for peace... When a full scale attack has started agaisnt you, then proceed to defend yourself, but until then... remeber your good soul, remeber your responcilibilties...
2. This guy lives outside of Israel more than in
(12.13.06)

Harry ,   Kansas   (12.13.06)
Israels Objectives Week 1: Destroy Hezbollah Get back kidnapped Soldiers Destroy rocket capabilities Week 2: Damage Hezbollah Get back kidnapped Soldiers Damage rocket capabilities Week 3: Weaken Hezbollah Get back kidnapped Soldiers Weaken rocket capabilities Week 4: Take out anger on civilians Agree to ceasefire because of failed performance and make it look like israel won!! Week 5: Take out more anger on GAZA!!
5. #1 People have died from these rockets
Bechor   (12.13.06)
And will die again from them. A Jewish life is worth NO LESS than an Arab life. It is the responsibility of Israel to defend the lives of Israeli citizens, not of the Palestinians who are trying to kill them. Jews Unite http://www.globaljewishcommunity.com
6. Israel failed to retrieve two Israeli KIDNAPPED reservists
CORRECT WORD ,   KIDNAPPED   (12.13.06)
7. #1 YOU ARE PLAYING A REVERSE GAME ON THE JEWS
#1 YOU THINK JEWS ,   CANT SEE YOUR GAME?   (12.13.06)
8. RESTRAINT/Non Response Against Terror Attacks is NOT MORAL
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.13.06)
It is EVIL. Refusing to defend Israeli lives is a crime against humanity. PEACE IS ACHIEVED ONLY THROUGH UTTER DEFEAT OF THE ENEMY.
9. Israeli response
JG ,   USA   (12.13.06)
What would the world say or do if these Qassams had biological or chemical warheads? Good old Kofi Annan would be on tv urging Israel to restrain itself and not attack Gaza.
10. Then respond
Micha   (12.13.06)
and do not let up until the land is clear. This is WAR. WAR means death. These people have already overwhelmingly elected this current hamass crap govt which vows to wipe Israel and the Jews out. Is a clearer message required? Do you need to be gassed first before you respond?
11. I think they are addict to that
Simon Mohammed ,   VA , USA   (12.13.06)
stay strong as far no human been is hurt directly and physically. But seriousely they need to stop this babytoys troying or the actual Government do some thing about it . The minimum thing they can do
12. Easy for you to preach patience #1 sitting up
Israeli   (12.13.06)
there in the Pcific Northwest. Why don't you come and spend a week in Sderot than tell me how much patience to have.
13. 1 Tell us again, if you were being bombarded daily in
freedom ,   canada   (12.13.06)
Seattle. How would you feel then. You sound like a pathetic democrat. Prove me wrong ... PLEASE.....
14. #1 Until when..? The Jews - Annihilated one by one...
Norway   (12.13.06)
...is that what you like to see? This xtian - gentile way of pressuring Israel to show restraint - "in turning the other cheek" comes from the false doctrine of the NT. Maybe - it is time for the Jews to finish "the xtian way - of turning the other cheek..." Nations who have been killing Jews for 2000 years... are still forcing Jews to show restraint... when they are cursed used hated kidnapped bombed persecuted killed The Jews are NOT allowed to defend themselves... The gentiles love to see Jewish blood. They love it when Jews are killed. They love it when Jews behave as a defendless entity... The world is silent... But when we said NEVER AGAIN WE MEANT IT... You say: "We don't need to make it worse for the people who are trying for peace... " "Those poor souls who are shooting, don't know peace in their hearts... " In reality you are among them who are making it very BAD for the people - the Jews who are trying for peace... - who knows peace in their hearts... The Torah - is the Roadmap to Peace... And She does NOT say that the Jews are to be Martyrs for the benefit of their enemies... who don't "know peace in their hearts" The enemies do not WANT peace They want WAR... These "poor souls" WANT to KILL Jews... and you feel sorry for them -who wants to kill Jews..? Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, - the Torah and the man that obtaineth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She - the Torah - is more precious than rubies; and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace... She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her, and happy is every one that holdest her fast... Pr. 3
15. olmert...difficult to hear your bulshit!
stephane ,   france   (12.13.06)
stop crying and act!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
16. Of course, the US would never do what #1 suggests.
sk ,   USA   (12.13.06)
I mean, Bush is unpopular largely because a few service men are dying in Iraq. Imagine if rockets were raining down on US soil and Bush announced he would be following 713, Seattle.
17. Olmert said only 15 dead from qassams
Matt ,   NYC   (12.13.06)
Where is the opposition in israel. Olmert a few weeks back when asked when there wasn't an operation to stop the smuggling from egypt he said there have only been 15 dead from qassams and jerusalem had over 200 dead from suicide bombings. The people of israel voted for him and it looks like they will re-elect him kadima when olmert runs again in three years which will further be a disaster.
18. restraint !
observer   (12.13.06)
40 israeli armored vehicles has been at the door step of Jenin refugee camp in the WB since last evening. then, what is agression called ?
19. 18- it is indeed restraint: defense vs. offense
NL ,   Israel   (12.13.06)
You say that the IDF is in the West Bank with armored vehicles and ask if this is restraint. Memo to you: An armored vehicle is not necessarily a tank. It is merely a vehicle that is protected against missiles and bullets. Pursuant to the constant shootings, Molotov throwing etc in the WB, the IDF uses nothing but armored vehicles whenever in the WB because doing otherwise would leave the soldiers unprotected. Mere military presence in West Bank cannot be considered aggression. Since you call yourself an observer, notice that there was much less of it prior to increasing Palestinian violence. Please observe that violence emanating from the territories threatens Israel. Please note that all nations have a right and duty to defend themselves and their citizens against threats. Thus, having a military presence, just sitting there, to track a potentially harmful situation to Israel cannot realistically be deemed aggression.
20. Olmert's Quest To Be As Restrained As Possible
Adina kutnicki ,   US   (12.13.06)
Olmert is so out of the realm of reality that he really thinks that restraint in the face of terror is a GOOD plan for his citizens. And THAT is why he is derelict in his duties and must be deposed!
21. Recall or impeach.
Jim ,   US   (12.13.06)
Is there a way that Olmert can be removed from office? Failing to protect Israel. What Gaza needs is about 25 B-52's flying overhead carpet bombing. Afterall, Hamas wants Israel destroyed.
22. #1 is back :)
713 ,   Seattle US   (12.13.06)
back by popular request...just kidding :) no I am not a democrat, nor a republican, but both at the same time. Just like I follow no religion, so that I am able to follow all religions... If Seattle was being bombarded, I wouldn't wait for the government I would defend my city myself... but Isreal situation is different, so to connect the situations I will present a different situation. If I lived back in the 1800's when America was genociding the Native Americans, stealing there land, claiming they(Americans) have a right to exist, I would have fought for the Natives. They would be bombing Seattle, and I would be protesting "Give the land back to the people it belongs to!" Isreal got to greedy on the land issue, you need to find balance. Right now Isreal has the upper hand, which makes you a leader and leaders have responcicblities. One of them is to "turn the other cheek" SOMETIMES. Like I said earlier, if an accual army is at your borders... then fight. If it is civilians (PA) then a diplomatic solution is needed. Yes we Americans are learning as well, and we've diplomatic solutions to civilian problems. Military solutions to government problems....
23. #1/#22, you're wrong, and here's why
Joshua ,   Pittsburgh, PA USA   (12.13.06)
1. These are not "civilians" attacking Israel, but rather groups that call themselves paramilitary. Last I checked, paramilitary groups aren't civilians, and thus should not be afforded civilian privileges. 2. Also last I checked, Sderot is in Israel proper, not in disputed Israel. And the paramilitary/terror groups ARE attacking this city, and they don't necessarily need to cause death or damage to get the desired effect. The damage and death are merely bonuses. Oceans obviously protect you. 3. There is no difference between bombarding Seattle and bombarding Sderot. You make a faulty analogy, even suggesting Sderot is "occupied." Well, if Sderot is "occupied", so is Seattle. As a matter of fact, I'll let you decide whether you should voluntarily give your land back to the Native Americans or call you a hypocrite. Seeing how you won't do the first, I'll just settle on calling you a hypocrite.
24. Thanks, Joshua (23) ...
sk ,   USA   (12.14.06)
I just had no patience even to read more from 713, Seattle. And that's saying a lot, as I can read most anything.
25. #23 Joshua
713 ,   Seattle US   (12.14.06)
I would give Seattle back to the natives, but I am alone it that one. If you are pointing out other people faults your are neglecting your own. Isreal still has a responcibility as a leader in that region, to show all other countries how to act. If Isreal doesn't want to be bombed, it shouldn't bomb people
