32. Mark #15 (This is your Jesus?)
Monk ,   USA   (12.19.06)
Mark, wasn't Jesus a Jewish 'chauvinist' of sorts? "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel...." Do you really believe that he would so dishonor God's eternal covenant with Abraham, Isaa, and Israel to give the children of Israel all of the land of Canaan (today Israel)? You think he would do this and join with Israel's enemies like the Saudis who are dedicated to Israel's annihilation? This is your Jesus?

35. #17 Was Christ a violent man?
Samson ,   USA   (12.19.06)
Actually Christ himself used violence against the money-changers in the temple, he said "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 10:34-39 NASB), Perhaps cruelty, brutality, oppression, belligerence and aggression are against Christ teachings and principles

Samson ,   USA   (12.19.06)
"But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one." (Luke 22:36 NASB) And the related Gospel of Thomas 16 (non-canonical) (SV) reads: "Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war. For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone."

Jesus came to promote righteousness. Sometimes can't have that without shaking things up a bit. Also warnings that people aren't always going to agree with believing in Jesus's deity and will even go against you on that. Relationships with other people can be fickle, but always have relationship with G-d and Jesus, so more important. In the end there will be peace.
50. Muslim Irony
Chatich   (12.19.06)
"What would Jesus do if he were present in the world today? What would he do before some of the oppressive powers of the world who are in fact residing in Christian countries?" You mean like the infestation of Hezbolla vermin in Lebanon? Or maybe you refer to the ongoing Muslim genocide of North African Christians? Or perhaps the Islamofaschist cancer sweeping through Eurabia like a tidal wave? Dinnerjacket, you bring a new, unprecidented context to the word hypocrisy. What would JC do? I wager he'd probably start by smiting your ass and those lunatic mullahs you answer to.
51. #12 muslims believe Jesus will come
(12.19.06)
Atilla, I am a muslim too. Quran does not talk about second coming of Jesus but there are a lot of Hadiths about it. We believe that Jesus will come second time to fight against evil. But in this we believe that the way that he will come is not clearly explained so that the integrity of the test between good and evil would be upheld. Some scholars believe that Jesus will come personally even though he will not run around screaming "I am Jesus" he will do the fight against evil without declaring himself as Jesus as prophethood was sealed with Mohammad. We will recognize him by his actions and his destruction of evil. Some scholars believe that Jesus's second coming symbolizes Christianity of cleansing itself from trinity and understanding that Jesus was not a God or his son as God does beget son, and Jesus was his prophet. then Christian world will lead a spiritual or physical fight against evil and beat it in the name of God. (Some even believe that the evil was atheism and communism that was destroyed and second coming is already happening) Some scholars believe that it is both. he will come personally and symbolically. Happy holidays everyone. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Eid.
52. What Ahmadinejad is trying to say...
Dan ,   USA   (12.19.06)
I believe what Ahmadinejad is trying to say is that Jesus would try to build nuclear bombs. Actually Jesus would say he wants nuclear energy to avoid suspicion from the Phairasees.
53. Immanuel
Carol ,   Tampa, USA   (12.19.06)
Immanuel... This name is given to Jesus. It means "God with us". He has never left us. He made this bold claim in the book of Matthew: "I am with you always, to the very end of the age." He also claimed in the book of John: "Before Abraham was born, I am!" In Revelation: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." Time does not exist for God. We live in an age of time, He does not. God sees all things past, present and future. We are finite. God is infinite. Isaiah: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts".
54. #49, I agree
Samson ,   USA   (12.19.06)
Perhaps also to stand against cruelty, brutality, oppression, belligerence and aggression. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.

56. Let us reason
Paul   (12.19.06)
When the King of Kings comes he will come as a mighty conquerer to destroy those who oppose him. His long suffering will have come to an end. Jesus gave his life to Iran's president as much as any other. Let us prepare our hearts and make sure we are ready for his coming. If we are clothed in his righteosness...then the wrath of the father will pass over us and we shall be with him forever. Amen
57. When Jesus returns to us with/without the Imam, the first
