1. IDF: Go For It!
emanon ,   USA   (12.20.06)
2. DUHHH!!!!!
Mark ,   Atlanta, USA   (12.20.06)
3. anyone else ?
Is there another independent democratic country in the world whose citizens are being attacked by rockets in their towns ? If there were, would their own government ignore it or would they instruct , and in our case, permit their Army to do whatever it has to do to defend its civilians?
Leonie ,   south of Israel   (12.20.06)
4. RESTRAINT AGAINST TERRORISTS??
Olmert is a not only an idiot but a complete FOOL! War against the terrorists in Gaza and Samaria and Judea can never be relenting. It must be aggressively and mercilessly pursued. We cannot allow these malignent murderes an ounce of life!
stude ham ,   outremont, canada   (12.20.06)
5. Qassams
Will you, Israel, stop talking about it and discussing it in the press and just DO IT? The UN, EU and most everybody else will condemn you, anyhow. Why not get a bead on the launchers and and let 'em know that you're still around? No country is expected to put up with this BS. Are you about to accept this as "normal?"
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (12.20.06)
6. Maybe interpreted
Policy of restraint maybe interprted as weakness? These guys are genious pure genious.
Zev ,   USA   (12.20.06)
7. "...may be interpreted as sign of weakness" ?????
It seems there is a crack epidemic in in Israel.
malcolm   (12.20.06)
8. ALL TEH CIVILIANS AGREE..NO MORE RESTRAINT
OLMERT/PERETZ ,   PEOPLE ARE DYING   (12.20.06)
9. TIME FOR A COUP!!
olmert and peretz have nno reason to care about our security as long as their priority is their own future and retirement in gaza and teheran. Let the IDF lead the way and take out the enemy!
Arie ,   Afula   (12.20.06)
10. RESTRAINT??? HAHAHA???
Restraint in Viet Nam restraint in lebonan restraint in gaza restaint has solved nothing except false percepetions that the kinder you are the weaker you seem. the world is based on might. nothing was ever solved with peace
restraint???   (12.20.06)
11. Seems to me
that they are firing their best weaponry into Israeli towns, right? Maybe Israel should fire THEIR best weapons into terrorist areas. Seems fair to me.
Ironcandle ,   Atlanta, GA   (12.20.06)
12. Gambling With Its Citizens Lives
The insane non response of the Olmert regime to incessant rocket fire on its citizens is not only intolerable, but it is CRIMINAL. In order to please the international community, Olmert is willing to gamble with Jewish lives. ONLY when Jewish blood is shed are they forced to respond. I cannot imagine living in a country under these conditions. The people are either so immune to these disasters or are too deeply depressed to remove this dangerous regime. While the terrorists are surely a danger, just as surely a danger is this derelict regime.
Adina kutnicki ,   US   (12.20.06)
13. Qassams hailing upon Israel
The political echelon orders are acted upon and Israeli citizens are put in harms way. What do they care if a dozen or so Qassams slam into a Kibbitz or near a children's playground. Olmert better get off the toilet or shit bullets in retailiation for the persistent rocket fire into Israel.
Milo Peres ,   Tijeras/USA   (12.20.06)
14. half is better than all, reconsider policy
after all, there has never been any restraint !
(12.20.06)
15. #3 nope there is none
because those independent democracies are not built on stolen and invaded lands... genious!
(12.20.06)
16. Hey, no body's been killed since the ceasefire.
What's 40 rockets? What a bunch of sissies. Olmert's the best Prime Minister ever, Israel is so lucky to have such a urbane powerhouse. If it wasn't for all of the right-wing war mongers complaining about a Qassam here or there, Israel would be a really fun place. We just need to have more understanding for the arabs and be a little more giving then things will be fine.
Jeremiah ,   Israel, Jewish Land   (12.20.06)
18. Olmarts restraint
I am amazed at all the objections and calls for retaliatory actions against the Israeli Public has forgotten a very recent event, Olmart restraint has been lauded by no other then most important world acknowledged leader the Pope in Rome when he heaped his praise upon Olmart for having a christen attitude which is “Turning the other cheek” do you expect him not to bask in such glory as long as he is allowed to remain the “Prime Minister of Israel” which by the way is a Jewish country. If the citizens of Israel do not care for their own, then pray and tell me why should anybody else care what happens to the inhabitance of the cities and towns bordering a terrorist enclave that Olamrt created or the total breakdown of free commerce and the trauma being inflicted and felt by the young Israeli children as long as Olmart and Company can bask in the glory of a Christian theory of being charitable to your detractors (as long as they are not as history teaches us) of the Jewish faith..
chaim ,   miami beach usa   (12.21.06)
19. peretz
yes. Israel's policy is perceived as weakness and completely ineffective
ingram   (12.21.06)
20. #15
really? how about the entire native american indian population starting to fire rockets into every major city in the usa and canada.... BECAUSE THEIR LANDS WERE STOLEN BY THE WHITE MAN, THE AMERICANS AND THE BRITISH. YES, THE LAND YOU ARE NOW SITTING ON IS NOT YOURS! IT BELONGS TO THOSE THAT HAVE LIVED HERE MANY MANY YEARFS BEFORE YOUR ANCESTORS CAME AND BUTCHERED THE INDIANS AND STOLE RTHERI LANDS. so, i suggest you pack your bags asap and move to england and europe. exactly where your forefathers came from or just close that ignorant mouth of yours.
