What, exactly, did the man say? Could somebody translate that into "Normal, " please?
2. Negotiation with the Americans !
(12.21.06)
"The trouble is that he wants to negotiate with the Americans, not with us. We offered the Syrians peace four times, including withdrawing from the Golan Heights, and it didn’t happen four times. It's true that this was during the days of his father Hafez, but now he has to prove that this is what he wants. A statesman is examined according to his deeds, not according to his declarations. ---------------------------------------- Todays Prime Minister of Turkey, He once said that "Yasser Arafat did lose the chance of peace one time. Israel did offer to him but he didnt accept. I wish he did accept the agreement" maybe words were diffrent but the point was as I wrote, if I am not wrong. My PM has strong religious background, also !!! ------------------------ I was too suprised to hear that. did Yasser Arafat really catch the chance of peace ? Why ? Who is not been getting affected from Anti-semites WINDS ? who doesnt have a cancer part of Anti-Semitzm in his heart in world ? Atilla Karagözoğlu Istanbul atilla_karagozoglu@yahoo.com

"'We offered them peace four times and nothing happened", says Peres about Damascus. What applies to the Syrians applies also to the Palestinians. We offered the latter far more than we ever did the Syrians. While Peres must be a man of great faith, the evidence is clear that the Palestinians do not want anything from us - no economic help, no state, no love. In fact, if peace ever accidentally breaks out in our region, it'll happen first with the Syrians.

u r pasee go home.
5. Why does anyone listen to this fool?
The Perescope ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.21.06)
And why do you keep interviewing him every week? He has nothing important to say and he's wrong about everything he does say.
6. Assad
BJ ,   Basel, Switzerland   (12.21.06)
Assad's primary goal at the moment is the hegemony over the whole of Lebanon : if Israel will not negotiate with Syria now, later on could be the conditions from an Israeli perspective much harsher, due to the presence of Syria on two sides of Golan.
7. Assad
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (12.21.06)
Assad's primary goal is to keep alive and the money flowing from Iran, and for that , he's been told to get back the Golan and let the weapons through to Hizbollah. He does all right with the weapons, but I suspect that he knows that 1) he won't get back the Golan, at all, and he's stalling just as long as he can or 2) that he'd get pounced on from 2 directions, if he got back the Golan, because he no longer would serve a purpose. As it is, Iran and Hizbollah will have to let Assad play his game, because they think he has a ligitimate claim to the Golan. That poor guy is stuck between a rock and a hard place, in a no-win situation. Get back the Golan, and we no longer need you. Don't get it back, and you're not worth our billions.
8. NO PERES, NO ISRAELI NUCLEAR DETERRENT

Why does anyone interview this loser? He should have been retired long ago

11. Peres
Hilda ,   USA   (12.23.06)
Nobody has been a bigger critic of Peres than I but I believe there are some very important truths here. When Peres says he does not believe that Abbas wants peace believe him. He would be the first in line to appease him.
12. Peres correction.
Hilda ,   USA   (12.23.06)
Excuse me I read it wrong,. He said Assad not Abbas but I believe it is true of both of them. I was so anxious to believe something that Peres said. No I guess he is the same old Peres.
