1. I think there`s gonna be a war sometime in the future, and
Iranian   (12.24.06)
it will be ugly. i fear for my family and loved ones in Iran and the place where i grew up. it won`t be the US or Israel fault though, the Iranian leadership for the past 27 years has knowlingly chosen the path of war. this was long over due. at the end of the day it is our country`s represntatives who unfortunately dectate our fate. Iranian Gov. has jepordised Iran`s national integrity and securty, better than any enemy could have imagined.
2. Iran's response to un action
ron west ,   anch. ak. usa   (12.24.06)
Iran is technically correct. Why not subject Isreal's nuclear infrastructure to iaea inspections? Why a double standard? indeed,it would be interesting to know where Isreal obtained it's nuclear weapon material
3. UN resolution
abe ,   manchester   (12.24.06)
This resolution is one big farce. It basicaly prevents doing bussinness or selling nuclear material with Iran, bt there is one Iranian company, who has extensive dealings with Russia that is not included in the sanctions, plus it give room for Iran to snub the UN for about 3 months, till the next time the Security Coucil come together to consider more non-military resolutions. Screw the UN, just nuke Iran before they nuke Israel.
4. Now take this resolution and shut up.
Persian CAT   (12.24.06)
That's the real message to the the US and Israel.
5. to no.2
student ,   abroad   (12.24.06)
I'll tell you why "double standard" - No Israeli leader wants to "wipe" anyone off the map, while your beloved Ahmedinajad has stated time and time again he want to wipe Israel off the map. Beside, please, why does an oil-rich country as Iran need nuclear energy, who is he kidding? people like you, I guess... Good day
6. Irans nuke ambitions are not peaceful
Johnson ,   USA   (12.24.06)
Would you give a infant a loaded gun to play with?
7. Sanctions are a waste of time
Jay ,   Israel   (12.24.06)
8. Only One Next Step
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.24.06)
Military action. That's the only "next step" that will work. Everything else is just wasting time.
9. to # 4 how 'inteligent.'..........

10. CONDOLIZA RICE NEEDS MORE
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (12.24.06)
Barely have hours passed since the UN resolution,Rice is already drumming up for more sanctions.Actually, this was preplanned.Having achieved nothing more than cosmetic sanctions, obviously the feeling for a personality like Condoliza is that of despair(read her numerous comments) having used strongest of language in different parts of the world on different occassions in the last 18 months.Since nothing is forthcoming, this statement now is to appease few personalities around the world that Rice is still active............
11. #1, people in the US do not want war!
DR ,   Florida, USA   (12.24.06)
Most of us know that Persians are good people with a rich history and culture. BUt, as you said, the crazed leaders in your country are driving in the worng lane. They will crash at some point, hiopefully they will not drag you down with them. Good luck!
12. What would you do
David ,   USA   (12.24.06)
The usa supported Saddam in his war against Iran, in which a million irans were killed. Then the USA invades iraq. If you were Iran wouldn't you want the bomb to at least protect yourself from american style of democracy, especially when you have the 3rd largest OIL DEPOSIT in the WORLD
13. PERSIAN WITH RICH CULTURE,DR??
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (12.24.06)
Only few months back your own views expressed in the talk-back suggested something contrary to what you are writing now........it's a shame,DR, for you to forget what you write.Of course the Persians have a rich culture and by singling out President Magmoud Ahmed Nejad, you are hardly doing a justice to the ones whom you NOW believe to have a rich culture.Shame on you,DR, you dont even have a static mind, after all.
14. Iran and its leader's thirst for a war with the world
Indian ,   Los Angeles   (12.24.06)
Iranian has spoken honestly without any prejudices and pretensions. The eccentric and fanatic leader of Iran is leading his country to its destruction. Only the people of Iran can act against such a maniac heading the country. Iranians are good and wise people coming from a rich civilization. They should realize they are not supposed to be lead by a fanatic!
15. Mahmood makes up his own reality....
DR ,   Florida, USA   (12.25.06)
I have always had respect for the Persian culture. Two of my best friends are Persian, o what the hell do you know? The problem is people like you who only make excuses for and defend crazed leaders like Ahmedinejad. I am sure that many Iranians want him out, but your kind stop them from making progress. the world would be such a nice place if people like you woke up and realized how backwards your thinking is. Londonistan is slowly waking up, will you?
