1. what do u call Isreal
(12.26.06)
please tell me where is the border?
2. Abu Mazen cannot deliver so there is no deal with him !
redmike ,   tel aviv & london   (12.26.06)
Having an agreement with Abu Mazen is like having no agreement since he can’t deliver the goods. More kassams are falling now than fell before the ‘agreement’ that will put Israel at greater risk. Olmert will certainly go down as Israel's worst PM if it survives his term which will hopefully be very short. The PM whose son ran away to escape army service; whose daughter serves with the anti-Israel 'Machsom Watch' and whose wife is known for her extreme left wing views - now shows his true colors. He is as pathetic and weak as the rest of his family ! He should go back to being a copyright attorney in the US and allow Israel to be placed in more capable hands.
3. #1 - Muslims say Israel has no borders ..
redmike ,   tel aviv & london   (12.26.06)
Muslims say that the whole area where Israel is now situated is holy and doesn't belong to anyone except Allah. The logical extension of this is that all land everywhere belongs to Allah which is in fact what they believe and is why they seek world domination. Israel has for a long time been trying to reach an agreement over its borders and for that reason withdrew from Gaza which sadly only brought about more attacks.
4. Olmert Waiting For Catastrophe
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.26.06)
This is the policy of restraint, wait until people get killed. Very smart. He gives 100M$ to Abbas & we get Kassams. Abbas could stop Kassams but why should he when he get concessions for nothing? We have a gov't of fools.
5. Sderot, Ashkelon need their own kassams
Yacov ,   Ashkelon   (12.26.06)
Sdeort, Ashkelon and surrounding areas need civilian militia and their own kassam batteries to fire back. Israel Defense Industries could easily develop kassams with a simple guidance system to ensure the kassams hit downtown Gaza City and not just empty sand dunes. One kassam into Israel, 10 kassams back at downtown Gaza City. Abbas would soon have his police force put a stop to kassams being fired at Israel from Palestinian territories.
6. #5 Yacov - Thank you I have been say this for a long time
Umm El Kul Naqba   (12.26.06)
We need to kill the PAL pretext of David and Goliath, disproportional response, etc. An eye for an eye. A Qassam for a Qassam. I originally thought that we should fire 1000 for each one based on the exchange rate that they wanted for PAL prisoners vs. Israelis. But later I concluded that one for one is correct to win militarily and in public opiniion. We would have the advantage of housing and population density. FIring at us, they rarely hit a target. Firing at Gaza we would rarely miss. When their civilians are terrorized by inaccurate rockets as ours are daily, they will not allow the Qassams to continue. Furthermore, it is cheap, doesn't risk the lives of our soldiers, and EU, USA, UN, PALs and the world will understand. You shoot we shoot. You stop we stop. No more David and Goliath crap. No more disproportionate response crap. Just terror for terror. Use the PAL weaknesses against them. They will stop all Qassams in a week
7. Give them another $100 million Olmert
semsem ,   New York, USA   (12.26.06)
Mr. Olmert: Why don't you go give the Palestinians another $100 million so that they can fire more rockets at Israel/ This just shows that Israel is being governed by a bimbo.
