3. half arse job, olmert!
v. n.y. ,   usa   (12.27.06)
it is a known tactic the palestinians store caches of weapons just inside homes, mosques and civilian hubs. the fact that idf located some launchers in remote areas and will destroy them without causing civilian death won't last long. the araboids are very resourceful terrorists. palestinians terrorists will resort to firing these rockets from civilian areas and israeli idf can do nothing about it. world opinion, folks, has come to stay! our citizens and their safety have been compromised to appease europe, the un and world opinion. amazing. i believe that no other country in the universe would have resorted to asking the world how to protect its citizens. no country in europe and not the usa. why us???? sending the idf to do that, but not this, attack here, but not there, is going to backfire. it's like wiping the left part of your tooshy and not the other. let idf do what they need to do. don't tie their hands behind their backs. when the qassams land, no arab nation, not the usa or europe tell those terrorists to hit here, but not there. they aim for the most damage with the greatest hope to take as many israeli lives as well. let's eradicate this problem, no matter the cost and stop listening to those giving advise. advise is cheap unless you are living in sderot on a daily basis.
4. NO IDF ATTACKS ON THE QASSAM FACTORIES???
stude ham ,   outremont, canada   (12.27.06)
Who are the idiots who made that rule? And why did they make such a stupidly conceived rule? Oh right! Olmert and Peretz and Pers and company... the same idiots who made the disastrous blunders in Lebanon last July. Israel wake up and get rid of these idiots in your leadership.
5. Throw the masses a bone
Ehud Olmert ,   Kuwait City   (12.27.06)
Not like I'll allow the IDF to do anything meaningful. If I did, the Arabs would probably halt construction on my villa.
6. #1. we agree...
stephane ,   france   (12.27.06)
as i wrote earlier...olmert had empty words today as usual.with his weak policy;quassam launching will only increase.
7. G---D r we doomed
haim ,   mtl canada   (12.27.06)
avec cette clique we r going to hell get OLMERDE out of here
8. restraint
Steven Rosenfeld ,   L.A. USA   (12.27.06)
This erroneous policy is the same misguided attempt to curry world favor that resulted in the less than clear "victory" in Lebanon. As long as the IDF is prevented from going after all targets, be it in civilian population centers or not, the result will always be a defeat, just like the defeat the Americans are experiencing in Iraq. The Intifada was broken only when the IDF let loose those limitations and finally killed Yassin and Rantisi. Don't wait this time and cause more innocent Israelis to die.
9. V.N.Y. Is Right On
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. USA   (12.27.06)
More wishy washy policies and politics by the Olmert administration. Why in heavens name does Israel announce it's own parameters, to terrorists who have no such restraints? Israel is going in the wrong direction, as we in the US say about Iraq, etc. V.NY. is right, but not right enough. Israel has 8,000 incarcerated for murder and conspiracy to murder Jews. Yet, they are released ultimately, instead of being hung, one by one, as the situation warrants. Oh Jews, wake up to the reality of what is happening. You take one step fwd and 2 steps backwards. Hezbollah is stronger than ever, and now guarded by 22,000 rockets and UNIFiL. Oh Israel, shame on you for being so timid...and listening to your Peace Now types. 6m Jews were slaughtered for being Jews. How many more will die because of our being scared of everyone?
10. Dave #9 is right on. Thanks.
vic ,   Haifa   (12.27.06)
11. Mr. OLMERDE

12. #8 steve
Mugsy ,   Boston Mass. USA   (12.28.06)
Steven, you nailed it. Trying to fight a war based on what others may think of your actions is truly moronic. ie; unproportionate response? BULLSHIT. Political correctness IS and WILL BE our downfall. Trying to win hearts and minds is a falacy. World opinions will not change regardless. Our leaders are weak, which strengthens our enemies. Now Bush`s weakness has caused the American people to vote in the democrats.WE ARE SCREWED
13. Thhaaaattss all, folks.
Manny ,   NY, USA   (12.28.06)
Please, oh please. Dear God, make this stop. It`s like watching Bugs Bunny doing brain surgery without the comic effect. Like getting a root canal without novacaine. Watching Olmert is LSD without the drug. While we may not find this clown to be funny, I`ll bet that God, in his Heavens, is roaring His head off, slapping His thighs, side-splitting tears falling from His eyes, as His creation weaves his moronic fiascos.
14. No protection for terrorists
David   (12.28.06)
Yes, Olmert must go for the sake of Israel. This man is the worst Jewish leader since Herod. As far as Kassams are concerned. Let’s not play their game. If they fire from the civilian sites they should know the civilians won’t be protection for the terrorist. The civilians should go and that will be their fault. If the Europeans scream who cares. They hate Jews anyway.
15. Damn if you do, damn if you don't
john ,   nz   (12.28.06)
Soon the attacked Qassam cells turned out to be dead children and worldwide condemnation on IDF once again.
