2. Gettoization of jews in Israel continues...
Blatant Deception of Israeli public continues: Impossible to fortify above ground public buildings. The government is lying to all of you. Windows, gas lines, balloon gas containers, exit doors, entranceways, playgrounds and parking lots all remain exposed to the enemy.
Israel is resembling more and more ancient Sparta, without learning her lessons.

3. Let It Be Clear
that in the not-so-distant future, our enemies near our borders and those much further away will have the capability of hitting us anywhere and everywhere with highly-accurate, destructive and deadly weapons.
Technology advances and its horrible products are becoming ever-accessible to every thug and murderous criminal out there.
From his backyard in Gaza or Teheran or Jakarta, 16-year old punks with bomb launchers and GPSes will some day soon be able to precisely program and hit any target they want. No one or place will be immune.
This is the new modern war scenario we face.
The challenge is for us to find a formula which will ensure the safety of our citizens, property and lifestyles.
Sadly, our current Government is not doing enough to defend against this threat primarily do to its lack of resolve and failure to understand the consequences of the absence of a determined and decisive response.

4. We need a strong leader!
Olmert is a weak leader.
The answer to the Palestinian rockets is a major IDF offensive.
You cannot protect civilians from rocket attacks, it's just not possible.
I believe this is a IDF tactic to make the Palestinians believe that their rocket attacks are working, in turn, to shift from the idea of homicide bombers that caused so many casualties in Israel.
And! The Palestinians are dumb enough to buy into this.

5. Pals should be pushed deeper into Gaz and not the reverse !
How long before we can get rid of Olmert, Livni and others of their ilk ?
Even Peretz now looks right wing compared to Olmert !!

6. Brilliant Strategy! (At least for the Gazians)
They shoot further, we pull back more. Sheer military brilliance. Such bold, forward thinking! This government never ceases to amaze me! Perhaps Olmert should save a little time, and help the rocketeers a bit more: simply pull back into the Mediterranean. Let the entire population of Israel drown. Think of all the money the State could save!
And while they are at it, put Sharon back in charge. (Olmert would be perfect as UN Secretary General) I'm sure he would accept a modest pay cut, and he certainly he can't be worse than Olmert at this point. In fact, he would actually be better. After all, we won't be hearing him call for pullbacks.
What is wrong with you people?!

7. Totally mind-boggling!
At the rate this is going, there won't even be enough left for a "land for peace" deal. Israel will have "donated" the whole country for nothing in return. Great strategy!

8. real solution
It is clear that pulling back is no solution, it is equally clear that fighting back is no solution as the last 60 years has shown. The only solution is a comprehensive peace deal along the lines laid out in the Geneva Accord. without it we will never know peace. You cannot win this war all you can do is kill people. There are always more people.

9. Better Idea - Geneva Convention Approved
Here is a better idea. Legal under the Genvia Convention too!!
For each rocket launched annouce that Israel will shell 100m area around the GPS determained (And Published!!) lanuch site within 30min. Then do it. See the results.
Will Carter and Tutu screem? Well yes but THEY WOULD ANYWAY.
In fact I think it would work out best as the Palis may well grow up and get real in there demands. Who knows?

11. $237.5 million and no antirocket defense?
B"H
It is utterly rediculous that for 237 million dollars, antimissile defense cannot be impemented.
Why not put a $2 million dollar contest forward for a solution.
I am sure that one of the high school students would figure it out if there were enough actual money behind it.
You might have to sponsor seed grants also of about $10,000 each for all the contest contenders. That ought to be enough to cover the actual material costs to deal with the problem.

12. The Outrageous Enabling Of The Terrorists By Israel's Leader
While the enemy improves their rocket ranges and their capabilities, Israel's leaders not only watch them do this, but ALLOW more shipments of arms to the terrorist group Fatah.
Who cares that Washington wants to prop up Abbas/Mazen? Israel's leaders know that Fatah has plans to destroy Israel. Therefore, how can they rationalize placing their citizens in even MORE danger?
Truth be told, the regime is as guilty as the terrorists for all the Jewish blood that will flow, both from their actions and inactions. They are not only silent bystanders, but now active participants.
Would the US haved armed ! the Nazis during the war, and would the US arm Al Qaeda now?
Of course not. The thing is that the Israeli regime does not believe in their claim to the land. They feel as if they are interlopers and have to do penance for being there.
Without internalizing that Israel belongs to the Jews eternally, both historically and biblically, the reason for defending it becomes too tenuous to struggle for.

14. security....
You are all concerned about your security... surely a necessary thing! For a change - why dont you try it with treating other people, even the arabs, as you want to be treated yourself, as people of equal value and start seeing them as humans like you are, i think this will be the most secure way for the future, the only way to enduring peace and security.. any force, whether a prison, a wall that you build around them, or exile them all.. will never let you live in peace, none of the two nations.
I think its not about some certain actions to take, however, it will be a long process of changing attitudes and values.
peace.

15. Peace!
Do you know how big is the "security zone" in the tiny gaza strip and what effect it has on life there? Do you know how many rockets are fired into the gaza strip for one Qassam rocket fired into Israeli territory? Do you know how many Palestinians will be killed for one Israeli?
The weak, who have lost their right for self-determination will do anything to have the illusion of control. Its too easy to say that are some crazy terrorists who are full of hate out of nothing and start shooting rockets just like that.. its necessary to look into the causes to end that. Prevent the fires from sparking instead of fighting with them forever.
The stronger party should be the wiser.. it can afford it.. give them their freedom - but real freedom - its the way to peace for sure. Dont equate the agressive forces with the whole population, these zynical views should be abandoned for good. Keep up hope. Peace.

16. Olmert & Livni - Play Russian Roulette. MOVE TO SDEROT
It is utterly despicable and evil of Israeli leaders to demand Jews play Russian roulette with their lives if they are not prepared to do likewise.
Sderot Jews live their lives in continual fear of being hit by daily rockets - Olmert and Livni apparently think this deadly situation is wonderful and want other Israelis to experience living their lives in constant fear and are eager to surrender the Jewish ancestral homeland of Biblical Judea and Samaria in order to provide PA/PLO/Hamas, et al, a huge launching pad for daily rocket attacks on densely populated Jewish areas.

17. Math: #14 +#15 = Dumbass
Oh, those poor, poor 120 million arabs being oppressed by those evil war-mongering empire lusting 6 million Joos. Great advice from a German,...ah, Germans..that historically renowned land that emanates PEACE from its every pore. (6 million Joos can attest to that.... the OTHER 6 million.) In 1948 the Jewish people re-established the State of Israel, saying out loud to the world: "We`re here, NOT queer, get used to it." Look at a map of the Mid-East, genius. Where`s Palestine?

18. Rockets into Israel from Gaza
I cannot understand why Olmert is holding fire while Israelis are getting fired upon and killed in Sderot, children are getting injured and traumatized almost daily, and their homes are being destroyed. Israel should mine the border between Gaza and Egypt to prevent money and contraband from being smuggled in daily. Cluster bombs to stop Hamas's Qassam rocket attacks would demonstrate Israel's strength. Right now the terrorists are emboldened by their perception of Israel's weakness when she does not retaliate with overwhelming force. Just as World War II was not won by negotiations; neither will this war, in spite of what that disingenuous James Baker proposes.
