The fact that arafat gave the orders to kill cleo noel has been been public knowledge for some time (although its been buried deep in the in "back pages of newspapers" for many years). For reasons only g-d knows the US never demanded arafat's head which is too late now anyway. But check out this website. This guy John Loftus is the only one with balls and brains left on this planet to uncover & document this stuff. This guy has the highest secret clearance & access to stuff that can bring governments down. A true patriot to both the US and Israeli armed forces. http://www.john-loftus.com/welsh1.asp This will change your thinking about both governments forever.

Abraham Sokol ,   Scarsdale, NY   (12.29.06)
so why then when Sharon had him under the visor the US said NO to the sniper fire? Many lives would be spared.
14. The greatest
Sagi ,   Israel   (12.29.06)
con man that ever lived, he pulled the wool over the eyes of the entire world for 40 years and he is still doing it from his grave. I am scared he might push the lid open one day. Houdini and Geller are Barnum and Bailey side shows compared to him.

Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (12.29.06)
Every senior American official who had to deal with Arafat over the years knew that Arafat was up to his neck in responsibility for that atrocity, or chose not to know. The same holds for every senior Israeli official, EU diplomat and PA activist. It was no secret among intelligence agencies either. Those who knew acted like they didn't know. The reality was that they chose to convince themselves and others they were dealing with someone "committed to the peace process". The truth was this man built his career on lies, theft and murder, and hadn't changed a bit. They were all in on the game. Not much has changed since. Abbas is a moderate committed to peace (wink, wink). The Palestinians just want a state of their own (all nod). Egypt is working to stop arms smuggling into Gaza (right). Saudi Arabia is determined to stamp out extremism (uh huh). Time to face reality.
18. Sirhan Sirhan
Ben Graham ,   New York, New York   (12.29.06)
There is more to this story. One of the demands of the hostage takers was the release of that Palestinian hero Sirhan Sirhan. Fortunately, the U.S. government did not release RFK's killer.

Atilla Karagözoğlu ,   Istanbul   (12.29.06)
I dont mean dis-respect some one who is dead. But, he was not good (politician, warrier, terrorist, father, leader....)
25. Why do we need to wait 34 years
DD ,   North   (12.29.06)
...to be told we were right? This is what always happens. Israel says that this organizasion did "this" and are responsible for "that'. and the world thinks we are crazy and have no reason for our military presence and responses. This is just a perfect example of what go's on. We should have "hit' his ass a long long time before he died of AIDS.
26. #12, Actually it came out earlier
AK   (12.29.06)
Welsh posted on the internet copies of documents he received under the Freedom of Information act. Actually he knew about the whole thing from the time he was with National Security Agency. There were also tapes of intercepted shortwave radio conversation between Arafat and his merry band in Sudan. I knew about it a few years back. Go to http://www.john-loftus.com/welsh1.asp for more details how the whole thing was screw up and hushed up. Out government has buried both tapes as well as the memo for the last 33 years. Now, the question is , has Bush administration cover up the PA’s dirty deeds in connection of those other American diplomats murdered in Gaza, while dispensing Fulbrights, in order to present Abbas, Arafat’s right-hand-man, as just a moderate politician, rather than what he really is, a scumbag terrorist.
27. No way! he is only for love and peace, give him arms & land
rabin ,   down in hell   (12.29.06)
28. Arafat the HERO of peace
Venus de Milo ,   Spain   (12.29.06)
He get the noble prize for his genuine attempts to reach peace with his occupant israelis with no success, because Israel in reality is interested in confiscating the land of the Palestineans more than anything else, their mutual talks with Arafat for peace were nothing more than consuming time to build more illegal settelements i.e. the policy of expansion.
29. Journalists and MSM of today have no integrity
Sarit ,   USA   (12.29.06)
Why isn't this front page news in the MSM? Why is it when Israel breaks a Palestinian's fingernail it makes the front page but daily qassams or terrorist Arafat killing a US ambassador is not reported? Journalists are not doing their job. They are aiding and abetting the enemy in order to get a scoop against democracies like Israel and the USA. One day they will be overthrown from their elite chairs.
30. GOOD and EVIL
Atilla Karagözoğlu ,   Istanbul   (12.29.06)
And one of the elders of the city said, "Speak to us of Good and Evil." And he answered: "Of the good in you I can speak, but not of the evil. For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst? Verily when good is hungry it seeks food even in dark caves, and when it thirsts, it drinks even of dead waters. You are good when you are one with yourself. Yet when you are not one with yourself you are not evil. For a divided house is not a den of thieves; it is only a divided house. And a ship without rudder may wander aimlessly among perilous isles yet sink not to the bottom. You are good when you strive to give of yourself. Yet you are not evil when you seek gain for yourself. For when you strive for gain you are but a root that clings to the earth and sucks at her breast. Surely the fruit cannot say to the root, "Be like me, ripe and full and ever giving of your abundance." For to the fruit giving is a need, as receiving is a need to the root. You are good when you are fully awake in your speech, Yet you are not evil when you sleep while your tongue staggers without purpose. And even stumbling speech may strengthen a weak tongue. You are good when you walk to your goal firmly and with bold steps. Yet you are not evil when you go thither limping. Even those who limp go not backward. But you who are strong and swift, see that you do not limp before the lame, deeming it kindness. You are good in countless ways, and you are not evil when you are not good, You are only loitering and sluggard. Pity that the stags cannot teach swiftness to the turtles. In your longing for your giant self lies your goodness: and that longing is in all of you. But in some of you that longing is a torrent rushing with might to the sea, carrying the secrets of the hillsides and the songs of the forest. And in others it is a flat stream that loses itself in angles and bends and lingers before it reaches the shore. But let not him who longs much say to him who longs little, "Wherefore are you slow and halting?" For the truly good ask not the naked, "Where is your garment?" nor the houseless, "What has befallen your house?" H.C. Halil Cibran (in Turkish) Kahlil Gibran (in English) Note: Yesterday I did need to put one of His other peom under the article.. But I did put his name as H.C. someone from USA did warn me that wasnt nice. and bla....bla...bla... I apoligize for that. I just didnt , I am taken as a Christian Probagandist. I just love His poems. Thats all.
