1. world has BIG CANCER
(12.29.06)
The Cancer List; 1. Anti-Semitizm 2. Anti-Islam 3. The Crusaders 4. The Religious fights in Islam These are good enough to make many families hurt as Shalit's family. ----------- Years ago, when I was in The US, we (Christians, Jew friends and me) used to not talk about any religion. But when I look at real world (News, comments, articles) I see HATE IS EVERY WHERE. Three big religions. Three big fights. Why we came to this world ? for religious life ? how can we see the world clear with RELIGIOUS EYE-GLASSES ? Atilla Karagözoğlu Istanbul atilla_karagozoglu@yahoo.com
2. poor fights WONT bring peace
Atilla Karagözoğlu ,   Istanbul   (12.29.06)

4. Who will bring The Peace ?
(12.29.06)
I see all religions expect for its own messangers. If He/She comes (I dont believe anyone will come, this is my personal believe) what will do ? I dont believe He will be stupid. Why we simply not show our hearts ? Why we afraid to show our anger ? am I stupid to show as much as I can ? No. WE KNOW HOW TO LOVE, WE ALSO KNOW HOW TO NOT LOVE. Atilla Karagözoğlu
5. If the normals to join to the bad ones
(12.29.06)
there will be no normal in world. lets not lose our humanity. we are not gang. we are normal citizens. any man can turn into bad. but NOT ME. I dont care if some call me a simple peace man, a simple muslim. I am not GOD. But If I was, I COULD FORMAT NEW BRAINS TO BAD PEOPLE. No doubt. Atilla Karagözoğlu

8. Bravo attila! and #6
Patrick ,   Quebec city (Canada)   (12.29.06)
I wouldn't say that attila's talkbacks are nonsense; on the contrary, my turkish friend displays great sensitiveness when time comes to talk about how to respect one another. Unfortunately, and I used to live in Israël for three years in the 80's, people are still callous and even more since then!!! FORTUNATELY, there is people like attila who brings fresh air to this talkback. Thank you AGAIN for your optimistic point of view you share with us in a daily basis, and for your relentless struggle to change mentality...but I wonder if that is not a wasted effort after all. I really envy your never being disappointed albeit there were signs of impatience in your last talkback faced with hatred messages. I fully understand you BUT keep on your good job my friend!
9. Gilad Shalit Not Worth It
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (12.29.06)
How many Jewish Children will die if these prisioners are released. Remember the Sheik who founded Hamas was released in a exchange and suicide bombings quickly followed at his direction. Over a 1000 Israelis were killed.
10. TO ATILLA
poitcha ,   Kfar Saba, Israel   (12.29.06)
Your talkbacks don't make any sense whatsoever. Anyone who claims they understand what you print is lying. Why don't you take an English course before attempting to write in a language that is so very foreign to you. And don't you have anything better to do? You seem to appear on every talkback the ynet news provides?
11. to # 7, Atilla
female ,   Tel Aviv   (12.29.06)
Lets hope that the New Year will bring tollerance to all ignorant people in the world....to accept people for WHO they are , NO MATTER what colour, race, religion or sexual preferance they are/have... people are most afraid for something they don't know, e.g. different religion, looks, or sexual preferance... Peace, Shalom and Sa'alaam to all ..
12. Gilad
Alexnader ,   Dutch West indies   (12.29.06)
And not a word of the suffering families of the thousand and more Palestinian prisoners in Israel, hypocrites! Shame shame, shame. Let him rot for ever.
13. Are you sure?
to, #11, female   (12.29.06)
Now ask your "open minded" muslim friend what he think of you as a NON-musilm. Ask him what HIS quran ask him to do when he meet you... Good luck!
14. to #7 again
eNoho   (12.29.06)
Dont hate your muslims friend, but watch out of Islam! Never trust a word which comes in the name of Islam. The muslims are also victims, not knowing many times what Islam is all about, they are born with it and hence blinded by it.
15. # 6, 11 sure, your gender does not contain the letter "f"

16. Atilla - I enjoy your posts too!!!

17. Families of Gilad, Ehud and Eldad
Ofra ,   NL   (12.30.06)
My thoughts are with you and your sons all the time. Really wish we could do more than signing petitions and attend rallies. Hang in there!!
18. Sam Weinstein - If it was yr son.....
Nora ,   Israel   (12.30.06)
you'd speak very very differently. That's why you have the armchair comfort of being there in the USA and making such a statement. Dont forget all our children here have to do national service instead of going to university which they'd much prefer. Gilad Shalit is the son of ALL of us and everything must be done to release him. Anyone of us in Israeli could be in Noam and his wife's shoes, God forbid.
19. BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVVVOOOOOOOOOOO, ATILLA

Please don't bash "our Atilla". He is neither dumb or naive. He just sound like a super human being and I wish he was G-d...The World might become a better place for all of us.
21. #18 If it was your Son Killed by Terrorist?
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (12.30.06)
#18 If it was your Son Killed by a terrorist let go by Olmert how would you feel. Hamas Founder Sheik yassin let go and 1000 are killed because of it? I was there in 73 and had friends killed and wounded looseing loveones is not easy but I would not want other deaths in my heart just to save my son if his release caused many more deaths.
22. shalit
sas ,   israel   (12.30.06)
if we paid a price for TANNENBOIM I do not understand why this government is undergoing any hesitation. we brought back an outcast to society, a criminal and our soldiers we leave behind. ohlmert - if you cannot produce then RESIGN.
23. regev+goldwasser never mentioned-so strong presumption dead?
(12.30.06)
24. Raising the price for Shalit's return
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (12.31.06)
We feel for the families of the captured soldiers, but those like Noam Shalit are in fact putting both his life and those of his countrymen at greater risk by insisting the country "pay any price" to get him back. In the bazaar that is the Middle East, the more one shows he wants something, the higher will be its ultimate price. Note how the price for Gilad's return started with "female and teenage" prisoners, then rose to include hundreds of males, now well past the thousand mark. Each time Olmert opens his mouth to speak of the "high price" Israel is willing to pay, the price goes up and Gilad's ordeal goes on. Jewish tradition was quite firm on the obligation to redeem Jewish captives, but that obligation was qualified by a prohibition on paying so high a price that it encourages further captives. Note how after each "successful" exchange, such as that in 2004, our adversaries insist that more such captures will follow. Obviously such a strategy is working! Let's not forget that the more unrepentant terrorists are freed, the more Israelis will ultimately perish at their hands.
