3. No Israeli fruit at Harrods
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (12.30.06)
I was in London 10 days ago and visited Harrods. There were all sorts of "goodies" from many parts of the world but no Israeli fruit, chocolate or milk products were to be found. The question is whether Mohamed Al-Fayed's store is anti-Semitic, anti-Israel or if there is "some other reason" for not selling Israeli goods.
4. Do customers know these businesses are Israeli?
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (12.30.06)
I wonder if customers know they are patronizing Israeli-owned businesses.

7. I never buy at Israeli shops abroad
DK ,   Bonn, Germany   (12.30.06)
Have seen some of them in Cologne, Kyiv, Moscow, Amsterdam and other places and never bought anything there. What's the point? Prices are higher than in Israel and the quality , choice and general view is much worse compared to what is offered by the good local shops. So, the summary : no no and no.

Everything overpriced in Europe. For example, my wife buys Gottex in US and it cost 50% less then in Israel or Europe.
10. Israeli Brands doesn't always = Made in Israel
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (12.31.06)
For example, I can't remember the last time I saw MADE IN ISRAEL on a Castro product. Everything seems to be made in China. So what's the difference if one buys Made in China from an Israeli company, or Made in China from a non-Israeli company. If you want to support Israel, check the label for where it's actually made. Support the Israeli worker, not the boss who fired them to have higher profits

12. Israeli Products Available in US Stores
Joy ,   San Francisco, USA   (01.02.07)
The Israeli Consulate in San Francisco put together a web site of Israeli products being sold in the San Francisco Bay Area. Many of the stores are chains, so if you are in US, the list might also apply to you. Check it out at http://www.shopisraelsf.com/
