1. How stupid
jan ,   usa   (12.30.06)
You have to admit that some of these palestinians comments are down right stupid. If saddam hadn't given them blood money, they would n't even give him a second thought. He could give money to people in another country, yet he starved, tortured, maimed and murdered his own citizens. If he was such a great leader, then why are Iraqis dancing and shouting in the streets in Iraq and in the usa? These palestinians choose fools and loosers as their friends. Good riddens saddam. There is a special place in hell for him. There is no place for him in the bosom of Abraham.
2. My Deepest Condolences!

But take heart. He and Elvis are both in a better place.
3. Twisted mindset
Peter ,   Las Vegas USA   (12.30.06)
The "palestinians" claim that the West is against them and they continuously pledge allegiance to the dregs of the world... What money was spent printing these posters of saddam and arafat? was it money that was targeted for food? I mean, listening to the babble that comes out from these people, the "palestinian" masses are starving and living in poverty, yet their "leaders" spend money on all of this propaganda? Who can figure them out?
4. According to CNN, those weren't his last words
Dani ,   Tel Aviv   (12.30.06)
As a noose was tightened around Hussein's neck, one of the executioners yelled "long live Muqtada al-Sadr," Haddad said, referring to the powerful anti-American Shiite religious leader. Hussein, a Sunni, uttered one last phrase before he died, saying "Muqtada al-Sadr" in a mocking tone, according to Haddad's account. http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/12/30/hussein/index.html Arabs always hear what they want to hear.

8. One more reason there will never be an independent Palistine
(12.30.06)
9. Oh boy....
Spinner ,   World   (12.30.06)
This can be seen as a good sign... Or a bad sign. I would say there will be a lot of death from this action. Plus now that he's no longer a part of this life...someone else will raise up and take Saddam's place...my guess would be Bush the second. Bush should be the next in line behind Saddam. The US and Israel will not be safe for a long time now. :(
10. vote Saddam to be palestian president
zionist forever   (12.30.06)
Abbas is weak cant get anything done and the palestians are divided over which terrorist group they like best. The one thing all the palestians have in common other than their hatred of Israel is their love of Saddam and he was a strong leader who hated Israel. If they opposed him then Saddam would have every last hamas killed he probably is the one man who could have brought unity to the palsestians.
11. Pals can really pick'em
Nemesis   (12.30.06)
The Pals can sure pick the winners, can't they.
12. to no 3
yigal ,   north   (12.30.06)
The posters were prepared well in advance. In Pal autho, very little is left for chance and "spontaniety".The Palestinians , somehow, feel obligated, to thank the leader that got so many of them, deported from the gulf emirites, in 1991. Oh well, Tell me who your friends are, and i'll figure out myself, who you are.
13. Palestinian logic
jps ,   Efrat   (12.30.06)
Here, from the their own mouths: 1) "I wish all Arab and Muslim leaders a similar fate, as they did not stand by Saddam – starting from the American occupation, through the president's seizure, to his killing." Obviously, the interviewee does not necessarily represent the Pal mainstream, but gee, what a wonderful wish for all them other leaders out there! And, of course, the convenient forgetting that Saddam invaded and occupied Kuwait, and waged a useless war against Iran that left a million or more dead. 2) There was not one leader who supported the Palestinian people and stood by us like Saddam did" Yep, and when he invaded Kuwait, Yasir Arafat defended Saddam. Which led, of course, to tens of thousands of Palestinians being kicked out of Arab countries - especially Kuwait where the Kuwaitis had trouble figuring out Palestinian logic. 3) "this is proof of the United States' criminal and terrorist policy in its war against the forces of resistance in the world." Ah well, the Hamas lawmaker forgot that it was the Iraqis who strung him up, not the Americans. And from point number 2, Mushir al-Masri needs to be asked if he supported the Kuwaiti and Iranian resistance against Sadam - or maybe his "proof" is just a little too subjective. Bottom line? The Palestinians have indeed lost a loyal supporter to their cause. That he went down in flames doesn't seem to cross their minds, nor does the idea of finding a leader who will get them a homeland (and not by waging wars against Muslim neighbors and pissing off the international community).
14. Hamman,Hitler,Hussain

15. Bush!! another stupid step!!
Lynne   (12.30.06)
first of all.. hanging Saddam on the first day of our Eid is a humiliation to the Arab and Msulim world as a whole.. even if he was going to be hanged (reminds me of medieval times) it could have waited until after eid!! that was a very ugly gestures which only reveals more and more how disgusting the current US government is.. with their stupidity they have turned a criminal Saddam into a hero!! he is now regarded as a resistance fighter who was a victim of the American invasion of Iraq!! he is no more the previous dictator who had committed numerous crimes!! so again Mr. Bush unveils his stupidity in front of the world!!
16. The one leader who supported the Palestinians
Steve ,   San Rafael, USA   (12.31.06)
If indeed, as one resident stated, Hussein was the only leader who stood by and supported the Palestinian people, what do you think this says about the Palestinians? The fact that only one leader, the "butcher of baghdad", one of the worlds top despots, stood behind them, makes a pretty huge statement about the Palestinians.
17. to Lynne #15
Mike ,   Atlanta, USA   (12.31.06)
Get over your shame and humiliations. You Muslims and Arabs always go back to that nonsense. Grow up! And remember that the "Palestinians" always make sure to strike at Jews on Jewish holidays. You probably consider that noble.
18. leader
jj ,   montreal canada   (12.31.06)
The palis din't loose a leader , they lost their cash cow who paid untold sums of money to the family of their so called martyrs. Now they will have to submit to Iran instead and hope they will pay . However shiites may not be so generous to sunnies
19. Myself -- I celebrated.
Zvi ,   USA   (12.31.06)
Saddam was an unrepentant mass murderer. Anyone with a shred of humanity should be glad he is gone. Jews and Israelis, ofcourse, have every reason to celebrate. But so do Arabs, Kurds and Iranians. Saddam Hussein was responsible for the deaths of 1,000,000 Iranians, the deaths of 100,000s of innocent Shiite Arabs and Kurds, and for the deaths of countless Sunni Arabs who happened to get in his way or oppose his dictatorship. Count on the Palestinians to be as cluless as ever, though. They always believe the propaganda of dictators rather than visiting the real world once in a while. It's why they have been used by every dictator in recent memory. Until they free themselves from their own delusions, they will never achieve the kind of freedom that will really make their lives better... .
20. There wil be more violence....Brain surgeon Bush.
arie spigel ,   New jersey   (12.31.06)
Yes I agree that bush is a retard along with his government. But you guys have to understand one thing; A Palestinian State must be created if Israel is to continue to exist. An Israel wich is constantly at war is getting on evryones nerves and becomming an eyesore. Get your act together.
21. #6

22.  Lynne
Plydies ,   LA_ USA   (12.31.06)
It was an Iraq government that tried saddam and they hung him before sunrise because of this Eid whatever it is.You are the stupid one but if you want to come here and get Bush you come on. We'll be waiting.
23. lynne
yigal ,   north   (12.31.06)
Lynne, LOL. When in your opinion, would have been a "better" time to carry out his sentence? It was the decision of the iraqui gov, and by its hands, that Saddam was hanged.I am not an American, never lived there, but find it astonishing to put the every blame and one's personal opinion of any wrongs, on Bush.
24. ADDING FUEL TO THE FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!

to build a democracy, yeah right
27. That in a nutshell..........
NS ,   Long Island, NY   (12.31.06)
The comments made by Palestinians at the execution of Saddam Hussein is in a nutshell the reason why there is no independent Palestinian state. Keep taking the side of dictators and religious extremists and you will be without an independent country for another 60 years. Your only real allies are your neighbors in Israel.
28. The 6 foot drop
Mitch ,   Boston, Massachusett   (12.31.06)
We still have more rope available. If there are any other former tyrannies interested in obtaining some, please apply. Our finest Manila hemp is free to those wishing to execute a mass murderer. Silk rope can be supplied for former aristocrats, and rayon or nylon for tyrants of doubtful provenance, at moderate terms.
29. #15 "lynne": NOT U.S. decision; try to know the facts
dante ,   uk   (12.31.06)
it was not a U.S. decision to execute the iraqi dictator. the execution and its timing were decided by muslims acting in what they thought was their interest. by all accounts, the Americans were surprised and not supportive of the decision. so, your talkback was really about your ignorance and your stupidity and not that of the U.S. President.
30. We will all miss you Abu Uday (Saddam!
Palestinian   (12.31.06)
May Allah shed your soul with mercy. You lived brave, and you died brave! Days are between us, and a day on you, and a day for you. Your enemies should not be happy for long.
