4. The wave - a matter of perspective

The story, as I heard it, is that the wave tilted the boat at just the right moment such that the missile struck on deck, rather than on the side where the damage would have been far deadlier. A secularist may see this as a lucky break, while a person of faith might see this as the G-d of Israel working through nature. He has a history of chastising His people, sometimes more seriously sometimes less. Without minimizing the loss of life, perhaps this was both a "mild" chastisement and a reminder that He has not abandoned them even when they screw up. If so, those like the "tea man" who is praying to "lucky stars" should consider that his war against the Children of Israel will never succeed. It's all a matter of perspective. As to the punishments, reprimands are often career killers if they are taken seriously, as they should be here.

an idiot who can't spell at all. Israel can park their ships anywhere they want to in Lebanon cause what happened won't happen again :)
6. No one of the killed soldiers live in Ramat Aviv
Itzik ,   Haifa   (01.01.07)
Halutz should go. How could he punish anyone if he should be punished himself first. Nobody cares about killed soldiers and many future killed soldiers. If the top officers had kissed a secretary they were gone at once.

The officer who shut down the warning system should be court martialled. His action was directly responsible for deaths . The light punishment shows a slap dash approach . Bye the way this seems the same attitude by the Israeli leaders to the war with Hizbollah

the political and military failures and their magnitude are beyond dispute. there is no excuse for the transformation of lean, creative, effective military machine capable of improvisation into a flabby, lumbering, sclerotic bureaucracy run by unimaginative, inept, careerist-fools who are more interested in their uniforms and their perquisites than in protecting the men and women under their command and the people. and, of course, these fools have their counterparts in the clowns of the civilian "leadership." olmert, peres, and barak should collaborate on a book describing how the hard work of decades can be demolished in a few years by a few fools. IT IS A SCANDAL, AN OUTRAGE, A CRIME!!!
