3. Kahane would agree
"Well, they are trying to spread the message that the problem is not the rape of Palestine by the Jews, the expulsion of millions of Palestinians from their ancestral homeland, but merely a psychological problem and some unresolved psychological complexes."
I think R. Kahane would agree with Hamas in this case. The problem for the "Palestinians" lies with their expulsion. The best solution for everyone remains the same: compensate the "Palestinians" for lost property and force them out of Gaza and WB.

8. PA Needs Responsible Leaders Not Convincing Spinmasters
Plagued with corruption and terrorism PA needs responsible leadership than can navigate a path towards separate and independent co-existance with Israel.
But instead, the editorial calls for spinmasters who can tell USA, EU, and the west what they want to hear while radical Islam is promoting global Jihad throughout the world.
See the recent YNET article for what is happening in Nazareth:
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3347150,00.html
When one see Obsession, one will realize that the horror of the Nazis pales in the face of the danger that radical Islam poses to the world. See:
http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/search/obsession/video/xblax_obsession
The bottom line is that Islam wants spinmasters to tell one story to USA and EU while its message to Moslems across the world is totally different. Foreign wars are not popular in USA. The American desire to bury their heads in the sand and seek isolationism has brought a resurgence of Democrats. EU and Russia has economic interests which heavily bias their postures.
Iran is the anacronistic focal point of terror. It was in Iran that the Islamic Revolution occurred on Jimmy Carter's watch. And today Carter continues his self-deceptive heavily biased "peace operations" which undermine the west, are prepared to sacrifice Israel, and largely help radical Islam.
Iran concurrently denies the holocaust, openly calls for the destruction of Israel, exports weapons to support terrorism abroad, and aspires to nuclear weapons which they will put in the hands of terrorists - a dramatic departure from nuclear technology being controlled by countries of varying degrees of responsibility to irresponsibility. Iran which is not Arab is driven to over-achieve and outperform the Arabs in supporting radical Islam.
In 1982 Israel had the foresight of bombing the Iraqi nuclear facility. Israel received condemnation across the world and later gratitude from the world with the outbreak of the first Gulf War. Once again the world hides its head in the sand with respect to the Moslem/nuclear threat. We are seeing the growing number of Moslem terrorist attacks across the globe but are doing absolutely nothing. The message of the imams leave little doubt but until the worldwide terrorists complete the connecting of all their dots, the western world will not connect the dots and see the magnitude of the threat to the world until it is too late.

9. Right of Return....Hamas can't have it both ways.
Hamas can't have it both ways. They say they want the Palestinians to return to Israel** but if asked if Jews could return to Hebron,*** the Palestinans would say, "No."
**dilute voting and essentially create a Sharia state depriving Jews of rights
***Many Jews lived in Hebron for thousands of years until the 1929 Massacre.

10. 5 - why only last 2 years?
it's convenient for you to select that timeframe because israel has been so effective keeping terrorists at bay. it does not cancel ,or merit ignoring, the countless blood-soaked acts of murder and maiming hamas so proudly brags about, especially in light of their unwavering commitment to drive jews out of the land by way of bloody jihad.
there's hamas terrorists for you - then, now, whenever. so what's your question and point?

13. As an English teacher
I entreat others NOT to teach them to deliver their deadly message more slickly and convincingly to the gullible Westerners. Ahmed Tibi and Nabil Shat (past tense?) do enough damage with their avulcularly delivered lies and libel against the Jewish nation. EFL teachers must teach the Israelis to sound like suave Western gentlemen instead of ruffians in a bazaar, and get them to take their 'hazbara' or propaganda more seriously . Even when given an airing - the National Camp does not present its just case to the world.

14. I Disagree
Hamas' message is very strong, very clear and very targeted. Their problem is not lack of clarity, it is lack of truth and reality. I wish Israel's message could be as well done. Rabbi Kahane was our only leader capable of such excellent and direct communication.

15. 4 Heres a Christian comment in general.
I can see you being anti Christian for a reason, whatever that may be. But one only has to look at the burning of five christian churches in the west bank, and the PA's treatment of minority Christians in Bethlehem and Nazareth to understand that both the PA, Fatah and Hamas should be severely condemned for their treatment of minorities.

19. All Hamas Charter translations: Kill Jews, Destroy Israel
I think the English is quite clear is what they want. Lets not forget they dont even know what "historical Palestine" is. Wikopedia does a good job explaining the definition of that territory throughout the centuries.
Jordan Palestine is Arab Palestine, so is Syria and Lebanon for that matter...look at historical maps.

Well, maybe we're not always as gullible as we appear to be. We recognize used car salesmen when we see them. Sometimes though, we're just tired to hear the same things ad nauseam from three different directions, with no end or solution in sight, knowing full well that for us it's a losing proposition, regardless which way we bend or which song we sing. We're damned, if we do stick our noses in other people's business and we're damned, if we don't. Given the diversity of interests of US constituents, it's not hard for our politicians to commit suicide rather unceremoniously, if they don't walk that narrow plank very carefully.
As for teaching Jews how to speak "suavely," it would be great, if only half this country spoke English as well and as eloquently as Bibi and your ambassador to the UN, Mr. Gillerman.
PS: Don't you simply hate it, though, when you look at a talkback and see some mistake you made? :-) (I do hope that you meant to say, "avuncularly.") I'm just pulling your leg a little. English, by the way, is not my mother tongue, either.

22. ONLY EAST JERUSALEM?
Is the translation accurate? Is Hamas now asking ONLY for EAST Jerusalem?
The inference one would draw is that it's prepared to let somebody else, i.e., Israel, have West Jerusalem. If this is true, it's a implicit recognition of Israel's right to exist and to have West Jerusalem.

THIS is exactly Israel's complaint! That we don't have the right people to get our message out! They are co-opting it as they have done with regards to everything Israel holds dear, e.g., the centrality of Jerusalem to us. They are a phony people with no history so they steal ours!!
