Barak: Lebanon withdrawal was good    Attila Somfalvi
1. No Second Chance
I, for one, am not willing to give Mr. Barak a second chance. He is an outright secularist with little empathy for Torah and observant Jewry and their needs and sensitivities. He has already demonstrated that he does not have a workable solution with our Arab neighbors. I am also very uncomfortable with him on a personal level both regarding his tendency to arrogance, and other more personal issues. He is not the sort of person I would like leading our State of the Jews.

3. BARAK = VERY BAD NEWS, Dangerous be careful
you can get a good indication of what these guys have in mind from what they say every now and then. "but with our willingness to continue searching for opportunities to reach an agreement with the other side." This should be a red flag to everyone, he's looking at sacraficing Israel, Jerusalem for "Opportunities" with People that only want Israeli blood. He hasn't changed one iota, don't be fooled. I hope the general public has learnt from the other Clown Olhmert and Kadima. It's dangerous as these politicians start putting on the spin which comes out of their A$$. What Barak would do without thinking twice: - Offer East Jerusalem as PA capital - Expel jews from most or all of West Bank - Return Golan to Syria - Invite UN peacekeepers to Jerusalem - Give right of return to all Arabs - Open the door to more arabs as MK's - Secularize the Govt at the cost of Judaism all bad news...

4. # 1 I agree but
Rav Lau for President, Ovadia Yosef for Prime Minister and Litzman for Defense Minister. Let's just hand the keys over to Abbas and switch out the lights.

5. Lebanon Withdrawal
Sure it was "Good." Good for nothing. Beware of Mr. Teflon "Ehud Bardak."

6. No. 1
Reuven, I agree with you 100%. Remember Ehud Bardak's nickname - Mr. Teflon. He generates a situation and then leaves others to solve the mess. Then he stands back and says "Who me? I didn't have anything to do with that."

13. Hubris, Arrogance & Delusion
Shamelessness AND arrogance doesn't begin to describe Barak's hallucinatory assertions. Leaving Lebanon like a thief in the night was both a political and military disaster. More Jews died after his flight than during all the years in Lebanon. Furthermore, this horrid decision emboldened the terrorists exponentially. It set the stage for the second Lebanon war and allowed for the most lethal build up on the border WITHOUT IDF interference. Barak was a war hero. However, he was a disaster as a PM, not unlike Sharon. Fellow zionists - he was ready to give up our capital and to hand over our heartland of Judea & Samaria to our genocidal foes. Why would ANY sane zionist give him another shot at Israel's eventual downfall?

17. Same old Barak...always right
Barak will never change. He can never admit a mistake. Through his botched "running away" style withdrawal, Israel not only abandoned the only real opposition to Hezbollah in Lebanon, but embarrassed herself by looking weak to the Muslim world. Yes, Israel lost 50 or so men a year, but in one short month we lost more last summer, both by fighting and rockets. We should have put more troops in back in 2000 instead of running away and helped to free Lebanon from Hezbollah. They would have been a good neighbor without those a..holes around anymore.

18. The Revolving door effect!!
I do believe that with time and wisdom people change, but somehow that doesnt sit right with me when it comes to Barak. I would rather a rerun with BIBI than Barak. He is the instigator of unilateral withdrawals, a lot of good that did for us.. Even though they may be removed surgically a leopard doesnt change its spots...
BAAA BAAA ,   bye BARAK...   (01.15.07)
