1. Lost lebanon because of the settlers
Yosi ,   Tel Aviv   (01.17.07)
Dear Settlers, By running a war against the democratic government of your own country who made our army lose focus and that is why we lost the the war in lebanon. Your "behaviour" is to blame, not the pullout.
2. HANDS OFF
Daniel M Meyer ,   Jerusalem   (01.17.07)
Which ever "political" leader has given any part of Eretz Israel back has fallen shortly thereafter.
3. Boogy knew "disengagement" was bad for Israel...
Ken Dalton ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.17.07)
...why didn't Halutz know this. Thanks to him and his political masters, Hamas is much stronger and many more Arabs and Jews are suffering.
4. never a teary eye from the prommer of pogroms
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (01.17.07)
he used force to rule over those he could not lead. He made war without a goal of surrender and left more blood and death of soldiers in guise to regain the captured. Success in defeating Jews on two fronts. Those that protect you by loving the land and sending Jews without objective to their death or living with wounds worse than death. in support of an unelected party who has never held elections for its leadership..
5. #1 You have it backwards - the electorate voted against this
Ken Dalton ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.17.07)
In the last election before the pull-out from Gaza the Labout candidate advocated the withdrawal from just 1 settlement in Gaza, while the Likud candidate argued that withdrawing from even 1 settlement would endanger the rest of Israel. Unfortunately, the Likud candidate both won AND was proven correct.
6. #1 Only a Tel Avivian can make such a statement
malcolm   (01.17.07)
You guys sat out the war eating croissants and washing them down with hafooch in your cafes while trading stocks on your laptops. You hate the "settler" because he reminds you that your parents and grandparents were once settlers too. Only back then they were called “chalutzim”. You want to disengage from your past so you can pretend that you are cosmopolitan, perhaps like a Parisian or New Yorker. But from the third world you came and, if Israel keeps destroying it’s security and deterrent, to the third world you will return. Instead of being full of hatred , you should be proud of the “settler” whose sons make up the most motivated and skilled officers in the IDF. While the sons of Tel Aviv try to weasel out of service like Olmert’s boys, the “settler’s” sons serve with courage and passion. And it is their devoted service that will stop a rocket from getting between your mouth and your croissant.
7. #1
Rachel ,   Tel Aviv   (01.17.07)
Now the settlers are also responsible for that! Let me refresh your memory that the "settlers" went out in force to stop the deportation of our fellow Jews. Only people like you are to blame!!!!
8. He deserves it..Olmert next!
Daniel ,   Tekoa   (01.17.07)
9. to #2
Dave ,   Herzliya   (01.17.07)
What a disgusting comment, justifying the murder of Rabin. To all the other "Settlers are the best people in the world" commenters. It's become very popular to say that amongst your types, but just some important stats. 78% of males at the Kirya who checked religious, signed up for kravi, about 69% of non-religious males signed up for Kravi. The gap exists, it's not nearly as high as you might pre-suppose. For the attack on Tel-Aviv businessmen who trade stocks, lot's of them are religious settler-types as well who drive to the borsa every day. Who do you think provides the tax-base to support the army anyways? Your comments are ridiculous.
10. Only JOBNIK Yossi could say such rubbish
Shmuel ,   Jerusalem   (01.17.07)
Yossi you didnt do anything in the army - so stop talking crap - you are speaking against the army's best soldiers. Relegios zionists and settlers are some of the best soldiers we have unlike Tel Aviv where most people are jobniks.
11. to #6
Yosi ,   Tel Aviv   (01.17.07)
Hey, you sound almost exactly like Uzi Landau. Cool! He also forgot the druze, russians, and any other israeli forming our army. You guys can only bully women and children when being armed.
12. Good riddance!
David ,   Haifa   (01.17.07)
The moment we will have left the settlements in the Westbank like we did in Gaza, I - and many if not most Israelis with me - will say "Good riddance!"
13. To #6
Abdullah   (01.17.07)
Why did you say #1 is from the third world? Nu.. And regarding the motivation and passion of the "settler" warrior who fights for one of the most advanced armies in the world, what gives? By your reasoning we should respect Hizbullah fighters who with a poorly equipped militia have proven to themsleves to be rather (foolishly) brave and passionate fighting one of the most advanced armies in the world. Passion and bravery are good attributes only when combined with a genuine objective desire for justice due to an absolute fear (and "love") of the "divine". People can be "bribed" (brainwashed) into being passionate and brave be it virgins or a place in the world to come or the superiority of "race"/religion/ideology. But to have a heart that seeks pure objective justice and peace, is a true treasure. I know many Jews have such a heart, hopefully one day it is their virtues that will be held high.
14. Lost Lebanon because of settlers
jack ,   ny, ny   (01.17.07)
To Yosi, Tel-Aviv remarks. The pull out from gaza was billed as saving the army from defending small settlers group. What did the army do since? obviously not prepared for war. The advantage of democarcy is that it replace failing leadership. Halutz recognized this. Are the other smart enough?
15. Halutz was disgrace
Amir ,   Haifa   (01.17.07)
Why he was in the IDF another 5 months? He should have left in August and find a job in NY investment firm. The guy has no honor at all. Now we will have to wait until Olmeets will be druged in handcaffs befor he this family lives Israel all togather.
16. 1# Yossi sad @ss, u r as antisemitic as Hizbulla
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (01.18.07)
17. to Yosi of Tel Aviv
molly r. ,   Queens, NY   (01.18.07)
Are u lost in the fog? The "settlers" are revenants who have returned to our land and are living on Israel's frontier protecting the likes of people like you from terrorists who are waiting in the wings for u to hand them Bet Lehem and Hevron and Shechem so that they can use them as launching pads to blow Tel Aviv to smithereens. Nobody loves Israel and will fight for her as much as our pioneers and soldiers in Judea and Samaria. Wake up!!
