1. Wow, Shoocking ,These Academics are smart !
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.22.07)
It took them this long to figure this out ? Waht stupidity clouds the minds of those who follow the no-peace camp OF kADIMA ,rOAD mAP ,pEACE nOW lABOR . The blind lead the blind in Israel as they reward those who seek to destroy them.
2. The only solution is transfer.
aaron ,   ra'anana   (01.22.07)
but will ynet allow this comment to be displayed?
3. Arabs have 22 Arab states
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (01.22.07)
Where non-Arabs have no rights.
4. THE ARAB SAID:a JEW born in states has more rights in ISRAEL
DACON9   (01.22.07)
BECAUSE THAT IS, WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE WHAT IS THE PORPOSE OF ISRAEL... FOR THE JEWS ....ONLY JEWS. IT IS A MODERN ERROR TO THINK OF ISRAEL AS A DEMOCRATIC OPEN SOCIETY IT IS NOT.... AND IT WILL NOT BE... SOON ENOUGH...
5. What Do We Do About It?
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.22.07)
We didn't need an academic to tell us this news. It's been apparent to anyone with half a brain for the last 100 years. The real question is what to do about it. Personally, I don't believe coexistence is possible. Since I also don't believe in national suicide, this leaves total separation as the best option for us. So, how can this be accomplished?
6. and arabs that support jewish israel OVER palestinains?
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (01.22.07)
what about certain israeli arabs who support the jewish state (and there are not a few) as a jewish state, opposing the palestinain or any other islamic entity? should they be treated as seditious because of their skin?
7. Sounds paranoid to me
John ,   USA   (01.22.07)
Identifies a problem, then says there is no fix. Seems pointless and self serving.
8. The man is
Ben Ami ,   Oxford, UK   (01.22.07)
completely and uncomfortably correct, of course.
9. His words will be forgotten - again
Shai ,   Israel   (01.22.07)
Lieberman's solution to this phenomena is reasonable and should be implemented. We must redraw the boundary so that all border Arab communities in Israel are in the Palestinian Authority, and all border Jewish communities in the WB are in Israel. We Jews have a right to a Jewish state on the lands we were exiled from, that right is a legitimate right and not less legitimate than those of Arabs who came here after we were exiled, and we are not bearers of exclusive guilt for the conflict between us and the Arabs that resulted from their unwillingness to accept Jews living here. If the Arabs living in Israel, as represented by the leadership they elect, believe our rights to national sovereignty are illegitimate and share a national narrative that cannot accept responsibility for their role in the conflict with the Jews, then by definition they are more Palestinian than Israeli, and should be governed by Palestinians who think like them and could represent their interests better than we can. As far as I'm concerned, same goes for all the Jews who think the same way, like Tali Fahima and Amira Hass. Let them live with Hamas.
10. Jewish and Arab elites, This is FUNNY !
Shelach et ami ,   Istanbul   (01.22.07)
Elites !!! who are they ? where they come from ? dont they also use same toilets ? or they dont need use any ? people is THE ONLY ELITES. ELITES got to listen them. if dont ! maybe this time The God suprices !!! ALWAYS ELITES RULES NORMAL PEOPLE THAN the people are the only one who always have faced the hard life. I mean this is stupid. PEOPLE WANT TO FEEL THE GOD, THIS TIME. MAYBE, ENOUGH TESTS maybe people need to go to the streets where they are and start to talk OUT. ELITES such a interesting word. how they make living ? if people can stay together CAN CHANGE ALL. Ahmet Atilla Karagözoğlu
11. Scheftan is only stating the obvious...
Ram ,   London   (01.22.07)
...but to most of our super intelligent academics this hard fact is alien!! What a phenomenon!!
12. What this man is saying..
Ram ,   London   (01.22.07)
"The arabs will NOT accept the Jews to have their own state. Either the Jews hand over Israel to them or transfer them out of Israel proper". It sound harsh and cruel but I dare "anyone" to find a solution that will please both sides! I am sure most Israelis would not mind those arabs who wish to live amongst them, peacefully, as Israeli citizens.
13. transfer #2
ss ,   isr   (01.22.07)
Jewish Israelis may feel too shocked to even discuss this term, but if our fellow Arab Israelis get the chance, I think even the moderate ones will not hesitate to make us "drink from the sea". Lets not fool ourselves otherwise.
14. Dr Schueftan
Gary A. MD ,   Boston USA   (01.22.07)
He is absolutely correct. He speaks the truth, sad but TRUE. And anyone who thinks otherwise should have their head examined!
15. Duh
Palestinian ,   Haifa, Palestine   (01.22.07)
Well, if it took you this long to figure that one out i don't think there's any question here: y'all are sitting ducks. Why would any sane Palestinian accept a jewish state that is built on the destruction of his/her culture and has no legitimacy whatsoever. Its simple, quit while you're ahead, grant the right of return, stop settlements, no more "aliyah" and you'll be fine. To number 2, transfer? yes i agree, Jews back to Polen, Russia, Khazaria for good. Go back to your original lands and take your idf and settlers with u.
16. he looks like jhon bolton after a bad
tea man ,   marjayoun leb   (01.22.07)
hair dye but the logic is clear and simple ultra fanatic zionest prop i do not know where it leads except for a non -safe harbor while the ship is swinging
17. Active Control
Barry   (01.22.07)
The Arab default position as regards any Jewish presence was expressed by Amin al-Husseini in 1944:- If there are reasons which make their [the Jews] removal necessary, it would be indispensable and infinitely preferable to send them to other countries where they would find themselves under active control, as for example Poland, thus avoiding danger and preventing damage,"
18. Boker Tov!
Hezy ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.22.07)
Boker Tov! Welcome to reality!
19. RABBI MEIR KAHANE
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (01.22.07)
Wrote about this many years ago,but ofcourse our liberal zionist friends do not want to see the reality with the arabs. In their zest to be political correct and to be like other nations, all they are doing is working towards their own destruction and our enemies sense this and will get bolder and stronger. Zionosm will go the way of communism and socialism,it has no future.
20. #15
eugene ,   israel   (01.22.07)
what culture exactly ? what was there before the jews returned ? just shepherds and swamps. why would any sane palestinian WOULD'NT accept jewish state ? look at the countries surrounding us, none of them are even close to what israel has achieived in mere 60 years. talking about "no legitimacy" just pronounces of your arrogance and ignorance of history, saying jews have no rights to this place is like saying aborigines have no rights to australia and indians to america. right of return equals 48 war..its obvious why noone except palestinians wants it. the only thing i can agree on with you is settlements.
21. DANGEROUS TALK!!!
stude ham ,   outremont, canada   (01.22.07)
At what point do discussions focussed on minorities become equivalent to the Jewish Question talks of the 1930's? We must step back from this logic and take far calmer approaches to coexisting with those who do not necessarily agree with us.
22. "Jewish elites shouldn't speak to the general Arab public, b
Yehudah ,   Jerusalem   (01.22.07)
I can't believe my eyes - this woman says we Israelis shouldn't speak to Arabs, that only elites should chitchat with one another, and then complains that we're not committed to democracy?
23. As an Israeli-Arab; I disagree with Toma-Suleiman
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (01.22.07)
I completely disagree with Toma-Sulieman, she might represent some Arabs, but by no mean represent all Israeli-Arabs. The conference could also have invited a more moderate voice to represent the Arab sector. The vision of the majority of the Israeli-Arabs is to be treated as equals in a Jewish state. The continued unjustified and institutionalized discrimination only strengthens the extremes in the Arab sector. All this can change by moving toward equality and supporting the moderates that wants to live in peace in a Jewish state. I agree that some of the demands in the “future vision” document are UNREALISTIC. Let’s focus on what is realistic and move from there instead of using this as an excuse to keep the status quo.
24. Strategy of fear and no vision..
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (01.22.07)
All what this extreme right wing man is doing is planting fear in the heart and minds of the Jewish public. He is saying we have a big problem and don’t bother looking for a solution. This is even not academic. Besides the “future vision” document, I’d like to see what analysis, interviews, information, statistics did he base his theory on ???? Did he interview any of the hundreds of thousands of Arabs who vote for Jewish and Zionist parties? Did he interview any of the thousands of Arabs who served in the IDF and put their lives on the line to defend the Jewish state? Most likely he has not spoken/interviewed to not even one Israeli-Arab to hear what they think. His theory is based on stereotypes and previous mistaken believes about Israeli-Arabs which he is using to promote a political agenda
25. #7 John , USA

You are so predictable defending anti-semites in other news items.

27. Most Jews would agree with the content in #23.
Ram ,   London   (01.22.07)
28. That is how muslim deal with transfer
Jewstransfered   (01.22.07)
"Jewish residents of the Saada region in northern Yemen have received explicit threats to leave the area within 10 days from followers of radical cleric Hussein Badr Eddin al Houthi, according to the Saudi newspaper Al-Watan."
29. Dr Schueftan
Shula ,   Poland   (01.22.07)
Dr Schueftan, eat something for god sake, you are too skinny, and that ginger moustache, it don't do you no favours fella, just drop it Other then that, you're all right
30. #21. Agree with us? Get real!
Ram ,   London   (01.22.07)
Which part of "they do not want us there" did you not understand? Coexistence is ACCEPTABLE to the Jews but NOT to the arabs! This IS the crux of the poblem. It is not the Jews that are emplying 1930's policies, it is the arabs. Please tell us you understand and that will be a step to bring Jews together. Most Jews/Israelis will be happy to co-exist with arabs in the land of Israel if only the arabs would be happy with that.
