Carter's apology is hollow, and one can only question if he is trying to adjust the sales curve for his book, or if he's simply trying to mask over his major wrong by doing a little bitty right. The book should be pulled off the shelves, and Carter should apologize for ever having put the title on it in the first place. There is no equivalence between the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and what happend in South Africa with apartheid. Carter's attempt to whitewash a complex problem by mislabelling it does nothing to help the situation. By throwing out the apartheid lie, he moves peace farther away, not closer. It is no small wonder that so many members of the Carter Center board have resigned in protest.

Not in the interviews I've watched or listened to. Has anybody heard any reference to that during an interview? Or about his support for a Nazi war criminal during his presidency? President Carter tried to stop the expulsion of a Nazi criminal who had become American citizen, it was revealed recently.

The book From Time Immemorial you mentioned is full of bias. It states a lot of wrong information and repeats the same zioinist lies that Palestine had no people before the Jews started immigrating there at the start of the 20th century. No one buys that... If you keep reading things like that, I will be more concerned. I have read Carter's book. It has no bias what so ever. He is saying the truth. the truth that all the world knows, is that Palestine was stolen from its native people under the cover of the Jewish religion. The arguement that Jews go back to Judea is similar to christians go back to Jerusalem and muslims go back to Mecca... this is rubbish of course.... Not all muslims descend from Mecca even if they speak arabic. And not all chrisitians descende from Jerusalem or the Vatican. And not all Jews are from Judea.....

Israel, and sometimes by extension, Jews, are not just a bogeyman for Democrats. Support for the Palestinian "cause" in the Dem Party has been on the upswing, most prevalent among college kids, but becoming more mainstreamed and legitimized. The rise of anti Semitic/Zionist/Israeli political sentiment bears watching very closely, especially as it seeps into and could saturate Democrat territory. The GOP has pretty well isolated the anti-Israeli Buchananites whose already small base in the party appears to be shrinking, but increasing numbers of young, urban, Muslim and African American Democrats would agree with the international Left's condemnation of Israel and its policy in support of her. Many Democrats are rabidly anti-Israel and rather anti-Jew. To them, Israelis and Jews are the new white oppressors, and Arabs the sympathetic victims of Israel and America. Crazy, sure, but this view is gaining more ground than party leaders and the press (who feeds this perspective) would like to admit.

Although many would consider you a heretic, you speak the truth about the Democratic Party - the same Democratic Party that has never repudiated Robert KKK Byrd; and was the political home of George Wallace and Lester Maddox as well.
