Conversions to islam in the west is peaceful. Unfortunately, "right wing" folks like to present islams growth in the west as if it were happening violently. The truth is that these people want you to respond violently against muslims in your midst. Oddly nough such hatred against muslims is more likely to push more and more people to islam. Good people who hate injustice and seek to side with those they perceive as just and oppressed. Ignore the propaganda of the right, and deal with the reality. People in the west are seeking a cause, seeking justice and seeking moral/spiritual guidance. And the only religion they perceive as fighting for justice at present, defending the cause of the underdog, while attempting to fulfill all the other needs, is islam. Examine the actions of your religion or way of life and see whether it has become indifferent to injustice, to lapses in moral standards and neglected its ideals. And address those issues, so that your people can find fulfillment in your way of life. That is the best way to "fight" islam. Return to G-d "fearing" principles that seek justice and peace for all people. That's what we all want and an essential element of true religion. And this is what people are seeking in the west. Can you blame them?
