So for me Holocaust never existed until at the tender age of 12 a boy I grew up with told me that he was sorry Germans hadn't finished all of the Jews off (I didn't let him copy from my homework). So the knowledge of the Jews being massacred by the Germans and by the locals was there, it just was not acknowledged as a tragedy, but rather as an unfinished project left for the future generations of Europeans. Now, someone like Ali from Lebanon can allow himself to say that he BELIEVES that Holocaust happened, as if he was talking about Marians landing on Earth.
