1. So what?
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (02.03.07)
There's nothing wrong with it.
2. Non-stop ceasefire
Sheikh Yahudi ,   Damascus, Israel   (02.03.07)
I have a feeling there shall be many more ceasefires to come. Inshaallah! On a serious note, this may yet be another proof that the Holy One blessed be He, loves His chosen people!
3. Stop fighting
Kurt ,   Germany   (02.03.07)
Please people stop fighting amongst yourselves, we need you people to be strong and healthy. Please stop

5. The State Of Anarchy
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (02.03.07)
So why are the idiots in the EU, the US, & even our gov't continuing to talk about a Palestinian state? Why do they put any faith in Abbas? Have they taken leave of their senses? If our withdrawal from Gaza proved anything, it is that Palestinians cannot create a state. No one can create one for them. I think there are two options. 1. We invade Gaza big-time, eliminate both Fatah & Hamas, get rid of Abbas, disarm everyone including their security forces, re-take control of the Egyptian border, & eventually, try to create municipal self-gov't. But as long as Fatah & Hamas exist, terrorism will continue. OR 2. Force Egypt to take back Gaza & Jordan to take control of Palestinian areas of the West Bank. Let them take care of their Arab brothers - they can use methods that seem to work & no one will complain. Any other suggestions?
6. A question - or two
Jono ,   Oz   (02.03.07)
If as it appears those so called leaders have no control over their gunmen in the streets what is the point of all these discussions for a cease fire? Is there then also any point to having peace talks with them?
7. And Israel is supposed to be able to trust these guys?
Zvi ,   USA   (02.03.07)
When Israel and an Arab army agree to a ceasefire, the ceasefire holds. But when the Palestinians agree to a ceasefire, they violate it instantly. How can any person who has 2 brain cells to rub together expect Israel to be able to trust the Palestinians to agree to a peace treaty and then abide by it? Ever?
8. CIVIL WAR
jeremy ,   Hula Valley Kibbutz   (02.03.07)
This isn't even news anymore. The cease fire is as long as it takes to get more ammo.
9. #3: POOR KURT !! DON'T CRY BABY !!!

11. may they keep fighting for a long long time
aaron ,   ra'anana   (02.03.07)
12. To Terry No. 5
j. sharaf ,   uk   (02.03.07)
I agree with you 100%. I have said this as long as one year ago. Israel conquered the land from Egypt and Jordan and they must negotiate with them, not the palestinians, who are unable to receive, let alone run a country. It will eventually come to that or no Palestinian State at all.
13. Hey Terry
Gil ,   Tel aviv   (02.03.07)
Don't be ridiculous man. Let their infighting turn into a full blown civil war with huge casualties on both sides. Those left alive flee to Jordan and Egypt. Israel moves back in there. Orders any last survivors out and annexes it . Properly this time. I for one would go and buy a house there. Ciao, Gil
14. Quod erat demonstrandum
Sean ,   USA   (02.03.07)
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe." Conjecture by Einstein Proof by Palestinians
15. Send in the French
Grasbke ,   Machination   (02.03.07)
to institute a "Guns for Pastry" program. A croissant never hurt anyone.
16. Note to IDF ;-)
Patrick ,   Mannheim, Germany   (02.03.07)
Even if it seems appropriate to retaliate in some way for the recent suicide attack in Eliat... The peaceful, "Religion of Peace"-people in "Palestine" should go unhampered by the IDF... at least as long as the entire "Israel is to blame for EVERYTHING" -community readjusts their views about those who think it is possible to reasonably negotiate with the "Palestinians". Thanks to Fatah and Hamas for doing Israel a big favor PR-wise. Keep killing yourselves dunmbasses! It serves a good purpose! :-)))
17. chocke up
Mohamad Dahlan   (02.03.07)
Israel and america will choke up the money to rebuild and re-arm all abass's forces
18. DAMN YOU SHIN BETH
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (02.03.07)
Well..Jimmy Carter, the Un, the frogs, Btselem, and all their ilk will find a way to blame this on the Jews sooner or later so I figured I would just post it first!
19. Who's got the popcorn?
(02.03.07)
20. Condolezza Rice in la-la land
Sidney ,   USA   (02.03.07)
There's simply no reason to avoid the subject of how we get to a Palestinian state.
21. this is like the 10th truce broken so far? awesome!
(02.03.07)
22. Give Gaza to Egypt
Y ,   N   (02.03.07)
I think this is a very good idea. Give Egypt full controll over Gaza and let them clean up the mess. I belive the palis will be happy to be united with their arab brothers. I wonder if we will se much coverage from the international press on the situation i Gaza then.
23. ROADBLOCKS in Gaza???
Amused ,   USA   (02.03.07)
" Palestinian security forces set up roadblocks in Gaza City and at various strategic points throughout the Strip." Could it be that the Palestinians are actually "occupying" themselves now?
24. egypt doesnt want them
boxley ,   atlanta   (02.03.07)
25. Hey Kurt in Deutschland
(02.03.07)
"We need you to be strong and healthy?" Why? So Hamas and Fatah can emigrate to Germany and try to start a civil war over there? After all, Germany is Muslim land now, isn't it?
26. # 25 No no no no
Kurt ,   Germany   (02.03.07)
Germany is not a muslim country and we will not let it be we need hamas and the other strong to continue strong aginst the bed and we and EU always help them with money and euro and support
27. It's time for you know who!!!!!!!!
jan ,   usa   (02.03.07)
Now's the time for AL-JIMMIL CARTER to come on the scene and see if he can broker a peace deal with these 2 pitiful groups of people. Of course if he does that, he will also include in the deal that it's ok to destroy Israel.
28. Conspiracy?
Tess H.   (02.03.07)
What if the West wants to give the Palestinians a country because they know that a fine group of citizens like them would take not time in starting to get rid of Israel, which is what the Arab-influenced US government and the EU want deep in their hearts. Israel annoys them and distracts them from getting cozier deals with the Arabs. If this seems unlikely, think Sderot, think Lebanon. A constant harassment campaign first, to soften the Israelis up, and then a final simultaneous attack, with Iranian technology. In Western eyes, that would keep the conflict small, concentrated in a small area, with only the Palestinians to take the blame, and who in the world really cares about the Palestinians.
29. If only....
Dan ,   USA   (02.03.07)
If only Abbas could ask for Israeli air-support on their raids of hammas.
30. No more money should be given to this group.
