(02.06.07)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6331994107023396223 Stop blowing up bakeries, stop shooting kassams, stop throwing firebombs, stop spewing blood libels and vermin and we can have peace. But until then, you reap what you have put on yourselves, have your wonderful culture of evil in your homes in falestine. Enjoy the olives and salt.

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/pictures/PalestinianChildAbuse/ Moslems, job well done, you have successfully created a culture that loves death more than life, that uses their children as soldiers, who relish in the thought of spilled blood. Enjoy the salt and olives!

Reuters puts photos like these on their wire EVERY SINGLE DAY.
5. Checkpoint Picasso
Rick ,   Montreal   (02.06.07)
This Pal photographer has the right idea. At least he's not a suicide artist. I hope he knows that there would not be checkpoints if there were not any terrorism. Perhaps he could also display some photos of the mutilated victims of his people's crimes agaist humanity.
6. Neta Golan is not a "peace activist "
j ,   jerusalem, Israel   (02.06.07)
Neta Golan and her group belong to an extremist left wing group that want to see the destruction of Israel. It is stated in their charter. Get the facts straight when you report left wing propoganda as the "news" Ynet!

Maybe the palestinians should have thought about the consequences of their actions before launching a terrorist war on Israel. But then, that would be too much to ask, wouldn't it?

and the genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. Israel has the mighty miliary, the fighter jets, the tanks, the rockets and what does Palestine have but home-made qassams. It's a pretty desperate situation when people feel the need to resort to suicide bombings. The Palestinians, the indigenous people of the area, are more sinned against than sinning as far as I'm concerned. I've wondered is it possible to have Muslim Jews? (I have been told in no uncertain terms that Jewish in Israel does NOT refer to a religion. Afterall, Israel is NOT a theocracy!) So it's even possible that the some of these Palestinians are Jews who have converted over the centuries. I hope the photos travel the world and let everyone know about the criminal suffering of the Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli government.
12. 11 - A lesson in terminology and reality
NL ,   Israel   (02.07.07)
Since the 'occupation' in 1967, in which Israel won a defensive war and took over lands previously belong to Egypt and Jordan (NOT belonging to a sovereign Palestinian state), the population of Palestinians has increased nearly ten-fold, proving the inaccuracy of your use of the word genocide. Likewise, ethnic cleansing would suggest a decrease in population, but the only population that is decreasing is Palestinian Christians (largely as a result of PA violence). The Palestinian Muslim population is booming. More importantly, the plethora of Israeli grass-roots orgs and gov't parties in the Israeli gov't who preach about coexistence and a two-state solution prove that there is a culture of tolerance in Israel, unseen in the PA territories. The gov't itself was elected on a platform of two states and coexistence. In contrast, the Hamas (currently in gov't) charter calls for 'elimination of the Zionist entity because of its Jewish essence'. This, in fact, is a genocidal platform, if you want to apply the word genocide to anyone. Indigenous: Yes, there were Arabs living in the British mandate pre-48. There were also Jews living there consistently for centuries. The land in the mandate was largely unpopulated, with occasional nomadic tribes (beduoins - currently also Israeli citizens) prior to the late 19th century. In the 19th century, there was a pre-48 influx of Arab workers into the area because of jobs provided by a PREVIOUS influx of Jews to the area. Palestinian refugees are considered by UN res 194 to be refugees if they lived in the area prior to 46 - a mere TWO YEARS before Israeli independence. Furthermore, prior to 49, the term Palestinian referred to both Arabs and Jews in the Palestine British mandate. It was the Arabs among this population who chose not to be called Palestinians, but rather Arabs, bc of the concept of 'umma'. In this context, to call Palestinians the indigenous people is playing a little fast and loose with semantics. If you refer to checkpoints as criminal suffering (even if we don't bother to examine the security situation on the ground), then I really don't understand how you can justify suicide bombing under any conditions. Just for reference, there are many 'desperate' people around the world - see east Asia, half of South America and almost the whole of Africa. Very few 'desperate' populations resort to suicide bombings, thus such acts indicate the depravity of the BOMBERS not the regime, however allegedly oppressive it might be. And I emphasize the word allegedly. In examining such a culture (of the PA, promoting violence) you conveniently forgot to mention Hamas' "no negotiation at any price" formal policy, as well as the internal fighting between PA factions. Why? Probably because the only way you can sell your hyperbole and sob-story narrative about 'ethnic cleansing' and unparalleled Pal desperation is by justifying suicide bombings, ignoring all other bad acts by the Palestinians and demanding absolutely no accountability or self-determination from the Palestinians.

Israel was formed on the land of another people who were living there, maybe not as a "modern" nation, but in their villages and farms, on THEIR LAND. The "Palestinians" or whatever you want to call them are the indigenous people who gave up their land and LIVES for the Israelis. They have not received compensation. Instead they are treated like lesser people within Israel and as prisoners within the Occupied Territories. THAT is not only wrong, it is a crime. You can't expect a violated and abused people to lie down and die or just flee, though I do believe that is the wish and hope of many Israelis. Yes, many Palestinians have fled, with their keys and deeds to houses and properties that have been bulldozed and destroyed. The Israelis have tried to wipe out any evidence of their existence off the map. Hmmm seems that Israel is doing to the Palestinians what they fear Iran will do to them. So those remaining Palestinians fight back and resist Israeli brutal occupation by whatever means they can. I don't condone their violent methods. In fact, I think it's counterproductive, but caged people, as any cornered animals (ALL of us human beings are animals, after all) will lash out at the ones trying to control them. So it's good to see someone using peaceful methods to oppose Israeli control. It's a sign of civilised behaviour in the middle of so much Israeli and Palestinian savagery. Also I like using the terms used by Ilan Pappe... yes, I know he's a "traitor" and a "self-hating Jew." By the way, he was in Amsterdam recently giving a lecture which you can hear it at http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article6503.shtml). The truth hurts, doesn't it? It's not pleasant for a country that purports to be a moral democracy to be accused of genocide and ethnic cleansing, of apartheid.

Yes, lets show photos of ALL the destruction on ALL sides. I bet it would be difficult to find room for all the photos of ALL the destruction committed by Israel towards the Palestinians. The destruction by the Palestinians towards the Israelis and themselves would pale in comparison! Yes, I would LOVE to see such an exhibit!
17. I go through checkpoint every day
Amir ,   Beer Sheva   (02.07.07)
Most Israely Jews go through several checkpoints every day: Shops, movies, busses, etc. Because Arabs say everyday that they want to kill us, and they are trying to do it every day.
18. 15 - selective reading of history
observer ,   USA   (02.07.07)
Perhaps you use terms by Ilan Pappe. (The link didn't work.) I won't call him a traitor, but will say that he has been censured for selective reporting, taking things out of context and faulty evidence. You are likewise selective in recalling historical facts.. Over 60 percent of Arabs living in the mandate fled without even seeing an Israeli soldier, largely because Arab leaders told them to move out of the way, so that they could annihilate the Jews in the region and then the Arabs would be able to return. Yes, some of them were forced out and killed, and there were even some localized massacres, but such killing was bidirectional. Arabs (including the non-'indigenous' ones from as far away as Iraq) did it to Jews as well, during that time. That's what happens in a war. As for compensation, Jews in Arab nations were driven out in the tens of thousands during 1948. They, too, have not received compensation, nor have they been give the right of return to their native lands. UN resolution 194 refers to both displaced Jews and Arabs, something you conveniently forget to mention. You claim Jews want to wipe out Palestinians and evidence of their existence. Yet, most Jews, including most of the government is trying to negotiate a two-state solution with them. In other words, they're trying to help create a permanent and national Palestinian entity, aka preserve the Palestinian people and make them autonomous. This is in fact the OPPOSITE of wiping people out, so any comparison to Iran's threats against Israel are, in fact, totally false. In contrast, Hamas is the one refusing to have a two-state solution, wanting to wipe the whole of Israel off the map. Thus, Hamas is similar to Iran. How do you justify their stance, since you seem so opposed to genocide?

20. art exhibit
upside down world ,   USA   (02.07.07)
someone should produce a "counterpoint" photo exhibit showing the reason for the checkpoints, i.e., starting with the dolphinarium, park hotel, sbarro's etc etc
22. Why go there?
Ken ,   Johannesburg   (02.07.07)
If the Pallys hate Israel & Israelis so much then they should just stay at home.
23. Go where? #22
(02.08.07)
You mean Palestinians shouldn't be able to travel within the West Bank? Checkpoints and highways and wall separate Palestinians from each other. Palestinians aren't able to see friends and relatives or get to school within the West Bank. Also there is no way to travel between Gaza and the West Bank. It's NOT about Palestinians trying to get into Israel.

Well let me just say they deserve it!!! As long as the average Joe Palestine does nothing to stop the Violent ones (not all of them are violent) than we have to. So the good ones just learn to suffer.

23 yes they are not all trying to get into Israel but there are plenty of Israeli traffic on those roads also. Lets make it same forf them also. maybe if there were moer check point in Gazza there would be less killing there also.

Peace seeker ,   Insane World   (02.08.07)
killing Arabs, especially the innocent children, taking their land, bulldozing their homes and orchards, preventing them from travelling inside and outside of their territories, collective punishments etc etc Start complying with UN resolutions and international law. Arabs, like other people, do what they can in order to survive. Ironically it is the Israeli excuse for what they do to the Palesinian Arabs - survival (security). And ironically, it's backfiring for both sides! Neither punishments nor rewards work in the long run. Sticks and carrots are short-term efforts to control people used by rulers as well as by tachers and parents. It's too bad Israel is so short-sighted - not very smart, in my opionion. The Palestinians aren't living in the lap of luxury with sophisticated weapons for protection so they're pretty desperate. It's easier for me to 'excuse" (but NOT condone) their outrageous violence. But it's still peanuts compared to the violence used by Israel against innocent Arabs in the occupied territories. I'm not saying all of the Arabs that get targetted by Israel are innocent, but way too many innocent Arabs suffer from collective punishments and "collateral damage."

It's very simple , come to live a week in Sderot , and you will see what people there are suffering . If the palestinians had wanted , they had already have a state for themselve . The arabs since 1947 heve dismissed all peace efforts . Have rejected the UN partition plan , they wanted to throw the Jews in the sea . They then urged the palestinians to leave their house , "you will come back in the footsteps of our victorious armies" they were told . Arab states always attacked Israel , sometimes with irregulars , fedayeen , who murdered more than 900 Jews from 1951 to 1955 in Israel . They came from jordan occupied west bank , and from Egypt's occupied gaza territory . There was NO Israeli occupation then . And they murdered . Yes i agree , there are innocent victims , not intenionally killed . Can you say that the killers who activated their bombs in Israeli restaurants , cafes , buses did it NOT intentionally ? This was truly to assassinate as much Israelis as possible . And now you say we have to abandon all our safety measures ? You are not living in an insane world , you are insane
