Jew ,   Ready For It   (02.06.07)
http://www.har-habayt.org/ The Waqf is destroying our artifacts every single day, and their are no protests. We must learn from the arabs in how they have a very strong bond to their religious icons and we must unite and remove the corruption. We must before we loose everything. We Must, We Must Unite! AM YISRAEL CHAI
2. Destroy the Al Aksa
j ,   usa   (02.06.07)
Destroy the Al Aksa and any other remnant of Muslim presence on our Holy Mountain. Begin the rebuilding of the third temple. We have the the power, lets do it.
3. cheap accusation!!!
tom ,   israel   (02.06.07)
Most of the jews respect the holist sites of all the diffrent religions, Israel empower the wakf charging municipal autorities many years ago except security issue. as a jew I don't want to heart nobody's religions feelings, in fact , I have many muslims friends. in few meters in the old city of jerusalem are the main junction of the world, If both sides will succeed to stabilize the atmosphere , It would contribute a lot to the peace process. I hope to see there one day people from all the world.
4. Dear YNET
Jake ,   New York   (02.06.07)
I've read on Wikipedia a different explanation for the gold covered dome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Aqsa_Mosque Please explain ... Furthermore, the Muslims obviously feel that we the Jews are as radical as they are when it comes to religion. Most Jews do believe that one day the 3rd Temple will stand on the Temple Mount. However, unlike the Muslims we dont believe in the use of force to achieve what was promised to us by God. Some might say that my statement contradicts itself since the land of Israel was taken by force and it too was promised to them by God. To those I will say that war is war and to the victor goes the spoils, especially when their is (at least temporary) world concesus backing up the victor. But the Jewish Messiah will not come about through force and until then the temple mount is useless, in fact forbidden to the Jews. God is the only one that can give the Jews their promised revival and 3rd temple.
5. Nothn like a good ol Arab Jew hate riot....

6. Any one who touches al-Aqsa mosque compound
Palestinian   (02.06.07)
will be punished severely. Both the Dome of the Rock and the Congregational building of al-Aqsa mosque are one mosque and any one who mess with it, will face consequences! This is not a myth the danger we feel, it is the reality that is being preached by many who support http://www.templemountfaithful.org/ Particularly, see their long term objective: http://www.templemountfaithful.org/obj.htm Also note that zionists christians from the United State, many of whom have ugly talkbacks here, strongly support the destruction of al-Aqsa mosque.
7. Unfair definition, and for #3 Jake
Paul ,   Austin, USA   (02.06.07)
As usual, the extremist/imbecilic reaction to paint everyone in a particular group rears it's repugnant head. I don't doubt that such plots exist, but there is nothing "Jewish" about such a plot. A Zionist-terrorist plot is a more accurate term, since one does not need to be a Jew to be a zionist (or vice versa). Jake (#3)- your comments on Moshiach are exactly what non-zionist religious Jews use to justify their non-zionism. A metaphysical quandry can NOT be resolved politically. Attempts to deny this result in such things like the 60yrs of mutual pain and bloodshed that Medinat Yisrael has yielded. Secular zionism is false and REAL zionism cannot be actualized until the moshiach arrives.
8. #4 and #2
Dan ,   USA   (02.06.07)
#2: Your radical crys are no different than those of Nassralah #4: Please be careful when you say, "to the victor go the spoils." You only legitimize the Hammas struggle to erradicate Israel. If they feel at some point they will be succesful, then they will continue to cause this chaos (against their own self-interest, but thats another point) until they achive their goals. Hammas is also driven by the same religious ferver you espouse. "...it too was promised by God." Religious ferver is religious ferver on all sides. We should not be as petty as to determine whose "God" is correct, because, damnit, it doesn't matter. You can have that argument forever and nothing will change.
9. Beware! This will cause alot of trouble!
enzo ,   london,uk   (02.06.07)
And by far the worst thing is that hundreds and hundreds of islamofascist websites across the globe are repeating the same story! It's quite sickening, stupid, dangerous... It's as if the Albanians who live in Italy stalled the Italians from excavating under the Coloseum with some crazy pretext ...

Interestingly, the temple of Solomon, or the Masjid of Dawood as muslims say, is rebult! It is al-Aqsa mosque that the God of muslims, whm they strongly beleive it is the same God of Israel, had the same message. Solomon, David, or Abraham, or Muhammad, are only his prophets. the prophets of one God (Allah or Alohim). Now, for muslims the Messiah came indeed. It was Jesus the Messiah, or al-Maseeh Issa Ben Maryam as described in the Quran. So if you read the Jewish prophecies, then you find out that they have been fulfilled in the Quran, but on necessary on the Hand of Jews. Islam is a religion for all. There are no chosen people, but the best among humans is the closest to God. That is the difference my dear. Also, God is not called the God of Israel. HE is called Allah, and that is it. Finally, Abraham, was not a Jew or Israelite for that reason. He was the first Muslims (translated: Submitter). Muslim means in Arabic submitter. That is he submitted to God totally and rejected to accompany with him any associate like other Pagans of the time. Regards
13. Haniye needed to divert people from infighting
Ibrahim ,   S. Arabia   (02.07.07)
This is such a transparent effort at diverting everyone's attention away from the disgraceful Hamas-Fatah fighting! We all thought that Israel could just stand aside and let them kill each other, but, amazingly, the Palestinians found a way to drag Israel into the forefront, with charges that are just comical. As for the Palestinians, alas! They love to demonstrate, fight, kill, no matter what the reason-even if there is no reason. Which is exactly what is happening now-no reason. Some Palestinians and Jordanians thought the infighting was too damaging for their "image in the eyes of the world, who gives them money", so they cooked up the need to support that mosque, and fill the headlines with phrases agaist....who else....Israel, of course!

15. All faiths should have access to the Temple mount
Beth Landau ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (02.07.07)
I am not at all Religious, so my view on the subject has little to do with Religion. This falls under the category of equality. Israel claims it allows peoples of all faiths to practice their Religion. As such, I fail to comprehend why individuals of ANY faith would be barred from praying freely as they wish, and wherever they wish. In a democracy, freedom of Religion is of paramount importance. There needs to be full equality in this regard. Favoring one faith over another is anything BUT equality.
16. actually they got two different articles one bias one not so
david ,   tel aviv   (02.07.07)
this is from the bias one Israeli police and army forces deployed on Sunday around al-Aqsa mosque's compound in occupied Jerusalem in an attempt to prevent wide access to the site. Security forces manned barricades and checked Palestinians' identification, allowing only men over 45 years of age and women near the site. The Israeli government recently set a date to start demolishing a hill near al-Maghariba gate, one of al-Aqsa's entrances, to build a road for Jewish settlers. A demonstration was planned for Sunday in the mosque yard after calls by Taysir al-Tamimi, Palestinian chief judge, to protect it from Israeli development plans. He said: "I have appealed to all Palestinians to head on Sunday towards the holy Al-Aqsa mosque to hinder the Israeli order to demolish parts of the western fence of the holy al-Aqsa mosque." want more venom http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/CA5F37D9-656B-4129-8F48-D702D71E3DA5.htm pls let them know the truth

18. To Palestinian Muslim
Jake ,   New York   (02.07.07)
I appreciate your compassion but Im not your dear :-) If it wasnt for the overhaul and complete disintigration of true Judiasm that these alleged prophets brought with them, then maybe they would have been succesful in dragging the entire Jewish race with them. All of Gods words regarding the Jews have been and continue to be proven true. We are oppressed because we turn away from God and must be reminded who provides us with our blessings of wealth & prosperity. You said your piece. That was mine.
19. to #12 'Palestinian' Muslim
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.07.07)
Actually Avraham was either a North Aramean, an Akkadian, a Sumerian or an Amorite. The word Arab in the Modern context has several meanings. One of them is a nomad. You COULD say that he was a nomad who didn't want to be one anymore depending on your interpretation. However stop employing the word Arab at will to mean anything or more than one thing in the same arguement. In addition, there was no mention of 'Islam' until the 7th Century AD. Based on evidence you are a liar. Until they find something with Islam written on it from before then, stop spouting your bullshit you retard.
20. More trouble
Abdel ,   Nablus, Palestine   (02.07.07)
Oh GOD, when will this conflict ever end? it is consuming us all and turning us into lunatics !!!! the last thing we need right is further conflict points such as this........ I will try and explain things from my side, hopefully some of you will understand, most Palestinians (including my self) have not been able to go to Jerusalem for last 10 years if not more due to the nightmare situation we live in. It is a place dear to our hearts, and it is changing rapidly. we are completely unaware of what is going on over there, and we feel that the remaining palestinian population is being replaced by an Israeli population, making it harder and harder for us to think of a brighter future........most people who visit Jerusalem say that they don't recognize it anymore.....on the other hand there are millions of Muslims world wide whom identify strongly with Jerusalem and would love to be able to experience this amazingly spiritual place, sadly they can't. when it comes to the al-aqsa mosque, there is a general feeling and theory that you guys don't want it there, and eventually some off you will do something about it... whether this is true or not is a different story, but that explains the extreme sensitivity about the location in addition to its religious significance, and the inability to visit and worship. also, serious cracks and structural issues are emerging in the al-aqsa mosque, and it is said to be due to such excavations in the area. You have the right to excavate and look for your history, and your heritage. no one can or should deny you that right, but it in my opinion it is the obligation of your government and scientists to look beyond politics and religion on this one, and make sue that the sites that are there remain standing and in a good shape, enough blood - Israeli and Palestinian has been spilled and i think it is time to think of -and work towards a better future, communication and bridging the gap. i have a suggestion, and i hope someone will take it seriously, why don't the Israeli authorities take along some Arabic media, and Muslim religious figures, show them what is really being done and save us all from the next conflict? unless they have something to hide, this should not be a problem to do..... i hope this all somehow makes sense .....
21. al-Aqsa Mosque: TALIBAN AND ZIONISM
ISHMAEL ISHMAEL ,   TORONTO CANADA   (02.07.07)
The writer could have explainted the purpose of the excavations and the authority issued for the excavations. Israel was built on an extreme philosophy that demanded ethnic cleansing of the majority population and it is still a nation managed by extremists, so fears about its intentions at the mosque are not unfounded. As for #17's non sequitor regarding the Taliban's disrespect for the Buddas and history: you are correct about that irrelevant fact. Bear in mind that it was their callous disrespect by destroying the Buddas that led to worldwide revulsion and their exposure to the American-UK-Canadian attacks. As Israel tries to cleanse itself from its status as the Mini-State for the Mob, so it should cleanse itself of the settler fanatics of Zionism. Don't you think?
22. just an excuse
chava ,   yerushalayim   (02.07.07)
It seems obvious to me. Just as Sharon's walking on Har haBayit didn't really spark the 2nd intifada and was just an excuse to do what had already been decided and prepared, so the digging today is just an excuse. The digging in no way physically threatens any mosque. The only thing threatened is the fabricated story that there's nothing historically Jewish in the area. Many Jewish artifacts were dug up by arabs digging on the mount itself a few years ago. These artifacts were tossed in a valley in the hope that they would be forgotten. Yelling and threatening today can't erase the archaeological finds already discovered nor prevent the finding of more.
23. The moslems should beg us to build The Third Temple!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (02.07.07)
They should ask us to bring the true religion to the Temple Mount and to worship HaShem{G-D} there. They should turn over all Jewish religious sites to the rightful owners and beg our forgiveness.
24. Help Me To Understand
Linda ,   Texas, USA   (02.08.07)
I have difficulty understanding the current conflict surrounding the Temple Mount. If I have interpreted the different news stories correctly it seems that: 1. The Temple Mount is the holiest site in the world for the Jewish people. 2. The Al Aqsa Mosque was built on top of the Temple Mount and is the third holiest site for the Muslim people. 3. The work being done is to shore up (strengthen) the foundation of a pathway that has fallen into disrepair and partial collapse, and this pathway is not adjacent to the mosque - although the mosque is nearby. 4. Muslims believe the work being done will somehow damage the foundation of the mosque whether intentionally or by accident, but most probably by direct intent so the Jewish people can build the Third Temple at the that location. If all these statements are true (and please tell me if they are not because I am trying to learn), wouldn't it have been prudent for a group of Muslims and Jews to review the status of the walkway together and together determine what could be done to avoid further deterioration and collapse of that area? Or is that asking too much? Just curious.
25. 7 Paul in Austin
David ,   Rhode Island   (02.08.07)
You say that secular zionism is false but real zionism is when Messiah comes. How about the Jews were treated like trash wherever they went so they went back where they came from, bought the land at inflated prices, won the rest fair and square in a defensive war and turned it into a 20th century country in a few decades. How about secular Christianity will never work either until Messiah comes so we should give the land back to the Indians and go back to Europe and wherever else. Joseph's brothers selling him into slavery didn't look too religious but look how that turned out.

It's not just Zionists in the US who would like to see your horrid mosque destroyed, it's lots of us just plain people !!!
27. Dome of the Rock
michael3k ,   Tlv, Israel   (02.08.07)
Marie, haste is from the devil! The Dome of the Rock is a noble house of prayer of great beauty (built by Armenian craftsmen). It is not a mosque (not directed towards Mecca) and was built to conform to Jewish prophecies about the Third Temple. That was before Muslims had adopted their neurotic exclusivist interptation of history. In those times, Muslims used to name their sons 'Israel' and studied the Koran and the Torah side by side. Things have gone from bad to worse ever since.
28. #12 to the palestinian muslim
AG   (02.08.07)
There is no God but All. And Islam is not a religion for 'all', but for all who've submitted, willingly or otherwise, to this subverted indoctrination. Can you grasp that God is not some moon-rock from the boondocks of the 7th century, but ALL, including the mammals we call pigs and monkeys no less than those we call prophets and profiteers.. And 'submission' is nothing more than a miserable, primitive and dysfunctional form of relating to God... you know, She don't bite, get over yourself, forever endeavor, AG

Dude, enjoy Toronto and the diversity, liberties and freedoms you won't find anywhere a muslim rules. Why? Cause between honor-killing and misogyny, sharia and theocracy, akhbarbarism and the present 2 for 1 hostage special between ham-ass and fat-ass, you're basically clinging form the lowest rung in the evolutionary ladder, dontcha think?
30. deja vu
Mike ,   Texas Bible Belt   (02.09.07)
dont they always exploit the temple mount? what will they call the next intifada "al-aqsa intifada 2 redux"? history repeats itself as everyone can see. since when is al-aqsa the 3rd holiest site in islam, do they have a list 1-100 of top muslim sites? shiites definitley have karbala #3. does it bother anyone that jerusalem is not mentioned by name once in the quran's 114 chapters? I highly recommend Ibn Warraq's books on islam, he delves into textual criticism of the quran and the hadith. if one listens to the hannity show with the imam on youtube key word Husham Al-Husainy you will see how he ducks the questions. jerusalem being the 3rd holiest to muslims is a recent invention for political purposes. dont be surprised if another intifada arises a few days from now after hamas and fatah made this agreement they must direct their aggression outwardly.
