Mubarak might be responsible enough to only allow weapons smuggling to hamas and not to tear up the treaty and start a conventional war but Mubarak is an old man and there is no obvious succesor for when he dies so there is a good chance the muslim brotherhood or some other extremists are going to come to power after he is gone and they have never supported the peace treaty and would teaar it up overnright especialy considering that thanks to America Egypt has the strongest arab army with just about every advanced American weapon Israel has including one of the most advanced versions of F16s, JDAMS, M1A1 abrams tanks built under licence in Egypt, apache helicopters, modern radar systems.... Today Egypt is a much bigger millitary threat than it has ever been in the past and there is a growing possibility that war will eventually break out at the same time the US continies to arm Egypt to the teeth. This is certainly not the time to be giving the Golan to Syria. It wont take alot to unite the arabs and have them launch another war in an attempt to destroy Israel and drive the jews into the sea.
