2. Buy Bonds and Have Fun
In point of fact, bond purchasers are a minority of Diarpos Jewry. That said, I don't buy bonds, but give to various Israeli charities. I don't earn any interest. Israel does pay good interest, and has never defaulted. If they did, it would mean, (as with the US Bonds), something significant happened to Israel itself. Bonds help insure that won't happen. I recommend every Jew buy a 100.00 bond each year. That would add 600,000 million to the over 1b bought by the well to do. Each time, there is a major incident in Israel, I give to MDA, and boast about it to my unconcerned and apathetic friends and acquaintences.

6. Misconceptions...
The money is not used to build roads or hospitals. The money is not added to the Annual Budget. Most Bonds sold in North America are not negotiable in Israel... as I discoved for myself after aliyah.
Israel Bond staffers in the US are well paid, as befits professionals. Their Israeli counterparts are overpaid histarut appointees.
Israel Bonds makes money in a few ways. They reinvest the funds to pay the interest on time, and they are good at getting REinvestments, but they are specialists in creating barriers to reedemption, especially for hiers. They know that eventually all bondholders will die, and that some ot those investments will never be claimed. If claimed, they make up ruled to prevent redeemption. You end up donating the bonds to some other organization.
Yes I own bonds. No I don't intend to renew them when due. I was lied to and I am planning to personally collect the proceeds when the bonds expire.

7. False
"In fact, if you can’t find the bond that’s right for you, Bonds officials will be glad to create a customized one. "
Israel Bonds are registered securities and are not customized for anyone.
