The jews do use the anti semitic card often, but not as often and not as costly to taxpayers as the muslims use the religious discrimination and ethnic racist card, against their human rights card here in Canada, your picking pebbles while boulders are rolling on your head. As for media balance, do you prefer the left wing cbc or bbc. Why not just read the liberal homepage news?
32. #30: Chris, I find your story difficult to believe
Steve ,   USA   (02.15.07)
You wrote that you visited the wailing wall and meandered into an orthodox neighbourhood and was stoned by men, women and children alike because you were not wanted there ... I am not a particularly religious Jew. It seems to me that you've got it in for religious Jews or perhaps you are offended by Jews who are guided by their faith on matters pertaining to the land of Israel. Why would Orthodox Jewish men, women and children alike single you out for stoning simply because you meandered into their neighborhood? What would cause Jews to want to stone you only because you passed through? This makes no sense. Why are you offended by Jews such as myself that believe the land of Israel belongs to the Jews. It seems to me we Jews have better title to Israel than, let's say, European colonialist had to North America. Americans expelled Native Americans west of the Mississippi river because white settlers coveted Indian lands. I don't know what was done in Canada but I suspect you are living on ancient Indian land yourself. What has Israel done that is in any way comparable to what white Europeans did to Native Americans?

Any other Jew talking like that ,it will be desecration of the HOLY NAME, but a person in his position is desecrating for all of us. Is that what a Rabbi suppossed to do?

There have been many leaders thru out Jewiish history including Moses & David that have had moments in which thier focas on truth was less than what it should have been because the circumstance of the time was proving difficult. ... The important thing is to lift these leaders up in prayer that G-d will strengthen thier resolve.... I think at this time G-d is waiting to see if the people that he brought back from the nations will trust him ....I think that if the majority of the Jews get back to the Torah and Prayer they will see Gods hand at work in situations such as this...

first of all, thank you ryan and steve for your courteous responses ... ryan, for media balance i visit this site as well as al jazeera, cbc, ctv, truthout, washington post, pretty much wherever links of interest take me; and yes, i do agree that muslims often scream racism, but since 9/11, they seem to be labelled en masse as 'evil' (as deserved as jews at the hands of WWII germans) ... steve, what i described did indeed happen in July, 1976, as i was returning to canada from africa, where i grew up ... and though it may appear that i 'have it in' for religious jews, please be assured this is not the case; i do have very little respect for anyone 'devoutly religious', be they jew, muslim or christian because it flabbergasts me that educated people can believe the crap espoused by religious leaders. c'mon, folks, whatever your religion, it was put on parchment in a time when a severe thunderstorm was considered a sign that god was angry ... torah, koran or bible, they're just stories -- metaphors -- of how (and why) one should behave in society ... but to believe that any of it is 'truth' is, well, just plain dumb ... what offends me about the current state of israel, steve, is the fact that palestinians are walled into primitive encampments, pushed to react the only way they can (when was the last time a jewish leader actually listened to what a palestinian had to say?) by throwing stones at tanks (poor tanks) ... and so, considering jewish history at the hands of nazis, it is abhorrent and unconsionable that jews would do similar things to another race ... and yes, steve, i am living on ancient indian land ... would it help for you to know my wife is metis (mixed blood), and thus my children also? and yes, what israel has done is comparable in so far as it is unjustifiable oppression ... thank you both for the opportunity to dicuss this ...

Your understanding of religion is truly twisted, though I would expect that from someone who lives in Canada. You have not spent one moment of time to study the text of Judaism. You summarily write it off as superstition, etc. You give very little credit to the forefathers, who were very revolutionary in their understanding of the universe. You think you are comparable to these men, yet your mind is like a pebble compared to Abrahams. Judaism is not superstition, and a thundercloud never was considered to be G-d by the Jews. Certainly the weather and the laws of nature are dictated by the creator of the universe, something you refuse to understand. Im sure you think you are the center of the universe, you created your life and you created the world. But your impudence is laughable. G-d has a plan for the universe whether you like it or not. And the Jews have a special relationship with the creator. You can hate it and disrespect us, but you will never change this.

After every war there were displaced persons , border corrections [ small or large ] After every war , the looser had to make concessions . Here in Israel , we have a same situation . Zionism began a long time before the Shoa . Jews were always present in then called Palestine . With the arrival of vaster quantities of settlers who bought ground from their palestinian owners , mostly living in Lebanon , began also the arrival of arabs from different countries , as far as Yemen and Sudan . They were looking for work , Jews could give them . Then we come to the 47 partition voted in the UN . The Jews accepted , Arabs immediately rejected and their mobs attacked Jews and Jewish settlements . After the British left in may 48 , the arab armies attacked , sure to throw all the Jews in the sea . They lost , but many arab palestinians had left their home , sure , as promised by their leaders , that they could come back in the footsteps of the victorious arab armies . After the 67 war , more arabs became "refugees" . No Arab state never gave a full citizenship to one of those "refugees" . Israel had received and integrated around a million Jews who had fled their muslim countries , fearing for their life . So for those "refugees" Israel is not to blame , Israel has not caused this . Regarding border corrections : it would be the first time in history , that a country , attacked many times , always victorious , has to be the only to make concessions .

Are you kidding me? "from someone that lives in Canada" comment. Your writing from San Fran, California, maybe the sun has baked your brain. I suppose living in one of the worlds largest homosexual and homosexual accepting cities of the world makes you closer to G d. I disagree with Chris for sure, but not about the anti semitic card that is used too often, there are bigger concerns, but to say someone in Canada doesn't know about religion is just plain retarded, especially coming from the sunshine state and drag queen capital you have lots to say about moral fiber. Listen to number 40, your embarrassing to other jews.
